So the next day I rushed in 1 hr before he closed. He had 2 other phone to work on and we gave him my wife's old iPhone 6+ to replace the battery for $60. He told me my phone will be $25 for a cleaning and if that doesn't work $70 to replace the SIM card port. I foolishly told him I would bring it back in 2 days. We then went to wait in the mall while my wife's battery was being replace. I check a repair shop there and they carelessly ripped open my phone and told me $225 to fix my phone and then went to another stupid used iPhone sales and repair shop in the mall and they told me my phone was destroyed and it would cost $519 to replace it. Obviously I didn't choose any of those options. Johnny called us back 30 min later letting us know my wife's phone was finished. We went there and I told him I wanted him to fix my XR after all. He opened it up very very carefully and showed me exactly what the problems were. He showed me where the water inside can be seen. He stayed after store hours with me and fixed it in 15 minutes. He ended up charging me only $25 for the cleaning and my phone works as good as new. I offered a $5 tip but he refused and simply asked for a good review. I gladly agreed!! Johnny at Direct cell is kind, honest, knowledgeable, definitely in my opinion skilled and reliable. Don't hesitate to take you phone for repair here. Thanks again Johnny, you saved me $200-$400!!

I traded in totes full of thousands of dollars worth of games and I spent just as much in the store on games and merch. When I moved to Woodstock I continued making the trip to Kitchener just to continue shopping with them, but in the end none of that earned me any loyalty or respect. On April 3, 2022 I drove to Kitchener to trade about a $100 worth of games in toward two used switch games they had listed as in-stock on their website at $59.99 each. When asking about the games in-store I was directed to their high-price game cabinet near the front door where they were each listed for much higher than advertised on the website. The employee called the store manager regarding the discrepancy and the message relayed to me was essentially tough luck, that's the price, and they wouldn't be honoring the advertised price. Other retail stores would have owned their mistake and honored their own advertised price, but instead of valuing my business their priority seemed to be to make a quick buck by marking up the games as much as possible. I will no longer be giving Microplay my business.

He ordered the screen for me on the spot when I called to inquire about it and we scheduled to meet the next day when it arrived to have the job done. This is my second time having the screen fixed and my previous encounter with another shop did not give me the time and effort he did even going out of his way to clean off all the old glue that most places wouldn't have cared to deal with and just get the job done as quick as possible.
