I am happy with how the company quickly improved its work. Original review (12/16/24): I hired Balanced Garage Doors to replace two old wooden garage doors. The price of the job and the quality of the doors are decent. However, the quality of the work leaves something to be desired. Our installer left a decent mess after the work was completed, including glass shards from the old garage door windows. I also found one of the siding panels out of place. The installer came to fix the siding today. Regardless, the quality of work seems poor, considering I paid $3600 for the job.

Our garage door was very outdated and needed to be completely replaced, but he never once tried to push a new door on us. Once I asked about a new door he was willing to work the current repair into a down payment option for a new door. We were told a new door might take a week to arrive, but they were here the next morning at 9:30 am to install it. Damian was the install tech. He was also professional, fast & efficient. I don't know if this guy is an Eagle Scout, but if a Boy Scout ran a garage door repair service, this is what it would be like. Mr. Spencer was clear and quick in his communication; he educated us one multiple options to deal with our problem without particularly trying to sell us on anyone in particular; he found the most economical but also worthwhile fix to our problem. In the course of the scheduled repair, he discovered a short in our wiring and fixed it for free. He gave us the walking-out-the-door price and did not surprise us with any hidden fees. We are very satisfied with the repair; the fix happened less than 24 hours after contacting Mr. Spencer (I left a message on Sunday afternoon, and the door was fixed by 2 PM on Monday). I couldn't think of any way this guy could improve his services. Extremely reasonable prices, outstanding service, superb education, clearly-explained options, fast response, punctual arrival, great communication... what more could one ask for? What I most appreciate is their willingness to explain what was going on bc I absolutely have to understand WHY and WHAT is going on...just the way I'm wired. They were able to not only educate me on the broken coil, but showed me the work they performed. Service was relatively quick. I came out my pocket a couple of hundred for a new spring/coil...and their labor, etc. My house is 10 years old and I know my garage door isn't super high end and this is the first work I had to have done on it so I found the price to be reasonable.
