This store has no respect for a customer's time. I had the exact same experience as one of the reviewers below. This is my experience: To change the prescription of my lenses, they scheduled me to come in after work. After sitting through an hour of traffic to get to the store, they told me they messed up and that I needed to get my prescription with my original doctor. So I sat through another hour of traffic back. Then I spent 5 weeks waiting for the lenses after giving them the new prescription. The store clerk never called me when either of the 2 pairs of glasses were ready. I had to call in 5 times to check on the status, with them telling me "we haven't gotten a chance to call you yet", or flat out getting the wrong order. For comparison, all other stores I've used took 1-2 weeks in the past. Finally, they messed up the order on my sunglasses. I specifically asked for gradient, it's on the receipt but I got a non-gradient. They did get it fixed after I pointed it out, but that just adds to the already 5 weeks wait time plus so much driving back and forth. Positives: They have a good selection of frames. The one time I saw Dr. Melanie she was very nice and a good optometrist. That's why I came back for my 2nd and 3rd pair of frames, but are now utterly disappointed in their service. read more

Two weeks ago, my friend Emily told me that she knows a good place where you can find nice glasses. I really needed new glasses because my vision was such a blur, so I made an appointment with focus optometry. After entering the office, I was greeted by the staffs. Dr. Feliciano was very patient with me during the eye exam and she recommended anti-glare coating. Well, I did not know how important the coating was, but Dr. Feliciano gave me all the information I needed. After the eye exam, doctor told me I need new glasses for driving, and two of the staffs helped me to pick my frames. I got tom fords, they are so cute and also the staffs were so nice that they even gave second and third opinions (three people looked at my top three choices. They really care if the frame look good on me). I'm now so happy with my new glasses! read more

I came here on the recommendation from another friend. My experience with Yanan and Dr. Melanie was great! They are very knowledgeable and understanding (I actually missed my first appointment due to jetlag, but they managed to fit me in at another time before the winter holidays). Yanan is always very cheerful and is a lot of fun to talk to! I did see a negative review about a customer waiting- in general, the staff will assist customers who came in on a first come first serve basis. I've had to wait a couple minutes, but I believe that this is completely understandable if the staff are in the middle of finishing up with another customer or placing orders, processing papers, etc. In any case, my experience has not been less than stellar, and I will continue coming back here. read more

I am not sure who are writing the positive reviews or may be I just have bad luck. There seems to be a lot of confusion and unprofessionism in the operations here. This is the 2nd time I come for redo on my glasses with a fairly simple prescription and they couldn't even find my record. 2 years ago, I had to redo my glasses as well. read more

I had a great experience with my time there. Right when my mom and I entered, Jane came up to us and started helping me find the right glasses for my small face. She asked what I wanted the shape to be and I explained I wanted a frame a little bigger than the one I was wearing. I knew it would be a struggle finding a pair because my face is really small for a 18 year old but Jane was very patient with helping me find just the right glasses for me. She handed me a bunch of glasses and was really funny and honest about whether they looked nice on me which was great. Eventually we turned to the children's section of the store where I finally found glasses that fit my small face haha. Overall, I am an 18 year old with children's sized frames but it worked out thanks to Jane and I had a great experience there. read more

Finally, I received my glasses on 5/16 (a long 1.6 month journey!). I feel obliged to update my review to 3 stars to reflect the good attitude of the shop owner (I give her credits for striving to make things right). I reserve the remaining 2 stars for having better trained staffs in the shop so that customers would have more pleasant experiences in the future. read more

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE! I was willing to overlook the poor customer service as long as I could get my first prescribed glasses in the bay area. 11/30 had an appointment with Dr. Feliciano - all nice and OK - she convinced me that I should have a good pair of "computer" glasses. I loved the idea as I have been using OTC glasses to red and type over the past five years. After my visit I was fitted for a frame and with copays and every other add on I walked out paying $140.00 +. Went to pick up my glasses today 12/13 and encountered to worst customer service ever. I was directed by the receptionist to sit at the optometry counter and then she yelled at another person on the other side - "he is picking up glasses". The attendant on the other side, standing at the other end of the counter - ten feet away, kept asking me for my first and last name while looking at a stack of boxes. She finally pulled a box out - still standing at the other end of the counter yelled "you have to sign for it". Not bringing the box to me, not opening the box or show me the glasses - waited for me to walk up to her, only for her to shove a piece of paper with bunch of writings on it to me. I was disappointed with her unfriendly approach - signed the paper, took out the glasses, told her I did not need the box as I have my own. And walked out. Tried the glasses in the car for fit - the right hinge was wobbly and loos and did not fit right. Walked back in the store and asked some other lady to tighten the screws as well as adjust the handles for fit. As she was interacting with me, the first attendant kept interrupting my helper with questions and whatever. I kindly asked her to please to not interrupt while she was fixing my glasses. They both ignored my comment and continued with their unrelated conversations with each other. I could not get out of there fast enough. Excited, came home - sat behind my computer to try out my new glasses. WHAT A BIG DISSAPOINTMENT - I CAN NOT SEE ANYTHING IN FOCUS. THE GLASSES SEEM TO WORK FOR WELL FOR LOOKING FAR BUT TOTAL BLARE LOOKING AT A COMPUTER. Have to take time off to take it back tomorrow and listen to more excuses. BTW, I USED MY $5.00 CVS OTC GLASSES WHILE TYPING THIS REVIEW. Plenty of opportunity to improve service and processes at this facility. read more

They are amaaaaazing ! Lost my contacts while rubbing my eyes and was far from home and didn't want to continue driving around blind, I contacted Focus Optometry since I was on the area and asked them could I purchase contacts from them although I wasn't a patient, BUT I did have my prescription from my actual optometrist. They said yes & helped me very promptly as soon as I arrived without a hassle! Being a long way from home they really helped me out a lot . read more

I initially liked this office because Dr Feliciano was great and very knowledgable. However, I had a very negative customer service experience when returning to pick up my contact lenses. I came in with the intention of purchasing lenses and frames. When I asked the optometry assistant, Yanan, for assistance she told me to wait because she was drafting an email for another patient. She then turned her back and left me standing there... Waiting... And waiting... And waiting some more. After a couple of minutes I decided to walk out and take my business elsewhere. Having worked in the optometry industry, I was taken back by how rude this employee was. Customer service, specifically attending to customers in your office that are ready to make a purchase, should be a top priority. I got my contacts from Focus optometry, Even though, I was going to get the exact same contacts that I previously used, they made me try the contacts. Later, I realized that they charged an amount for trial which is approximately equal to the price of a box of contacts. I wish they have warned me in advance about that. We met Dr, Feliciano in 2006 when she was seeing my son who was 10 at the time. Dr. Feliciano was very meticulous and took her time. So much time in fact that I was starting to get worried. But she found that my son had 25% detachment of the retina. She immediately called for a second opinion and then set us up with a visit with an ophthalmologist the same day who wanted him to have surgery the same week! I truly believe that, if it wasn't for her, my son could have lost his vision in the left eye. She treated him with professionalism and did not disregard him as a child, "what could be wrong at this age" kind of thing. As a matter of fact, we had just done his physical at the pediatrician and they checked his vision and he passed, you know, when they make them read the board to check if they can see? I was told that he can see fine...and then we would've have to wait for a year until his next physical. After Dr. Feliciano discovered the detachment, my son had to be seeing every week to make sure the detachment was not growing. I was told that he could have been blind on his left eye if he didn't have the surgery. We are very lucky that we found her again, and that she can work with our insurance. My son is again his patient at age 17! AND, when I called her to make an appointment, SHE REMEMBERED US! How cool is that! She remembered all the details of my son's surgery and everything after at least 5 years of not seeing him. Actually, our whole family is going to see her now. Great place. I highly recommend her for her professionalism, her patience and for being a great listener. She treats everyone with respect. read more

My daughter went to Dr. Feliciano for years and when she opened Focus Optometry it was instant we would become patients. I went in today and the lobby was great, assistant and layout very efficient and as always Dr. Feliciano gets an A++ I would highly recommend Focus Optometry and actually have an appointment for my daughter next Wednesday. read more

Great experience, no complaints at all!! Today I took my 5yr old for her first Eye Exam, so we were both a little nervous. Front desk staff was great and so was Dr. F, she made my daughter and my self feel at ease.
