We have been coming here for several years and like Dr. Joel and Tony very much. If you had asked me for a review last week it would have been 5 stars. But we had our appointments and as I was purchasing my glasses, I was told that my husband had an outstanding balance from December 2023. We were in last summer and no mention of an outstanding balance. I purchased my glasses and was told they would contact us regarding the outstanding balance. Haven't heard anything. It is much too late to sort this out. My husband had an eye problem and gave our vision insurance and medical insurance. Last summer we showed a $0 balance. 20 months later? I guess we will have to find a new eye doctor. Too bad - Tony is fun and has a great shoe collection. It makes me smile. read more

As a friend brought me here to a "trunk show", found real kindness and cleanliness. Coupled with the great hospitality by ALL staff dressed in Vikings Uniform Jerseys, 1-Bears and 1-Packers Jersey. Lol for the love of Minnesota Sports Teams. You caught my attention... Next, began to wonder, is this a good place to see an eye doctor and buy glasses? Yes, as the kindness continued in my eye exam. Did enjoy as well the option to return later For the eyeglasses portion. Remember now the best for me was to return. Next visit remember how well the staff tolerated me again. My discerning eyes See everything, maybe too much. Here's the good news, the optician looked at me, walked to the selection and picked the most beautiful pair of glasses. I asked her to pick something for me. By surprise picked her very first selection, great experience. Here's better news, working in public and charity have received not less than 100 compliments on these pair of glasses. Hmmm. Now that was unexpected. More good news, this time worked with a young man optician. Same great experience. Okay everyone in this company maybe well-trained to allow you a great experience. First time I visited the staff was great and super friendly. As soon as they found out I would be needing 4 pairs of glasses they were more than happy to help me. But the after care is not very impressive. Hard to "set appointment" to pick your glasses up. I guess once they make a sale your no longer important to them. Lesson learned. read more

I recently purchased glasses there. The experience was not good. It was very apparent that it was about the insurance and not the person. I was guided to few options and informed a to my insurance. However I was told time and time again how horriblle my insurance was and how they screwup every order but that's your insurance the person stated. After being tthere for a sh time and being pushed to make a quick decision i asked if I had any other choices. I was told yes but would have to pay for the. And my insurance would cover a portion. I was fine with that. They actually covered a large portion. But again there were not a lot of good choices. I picked a pair of glasses and again informed as to how horrible my insurance was. I was called two weeks later to let me know my glasses would be delayed due to my horrible insurance again. A couple weeks later they arrived. I knew from before it's a production service and all about running people through. The was even more apparent when I picked up my glasses. Very little time to adjust them then given to me with finger prints on. Adjusted glasses in minutes without heating anD handed them to me saying well thiS should be good. Oh my goodness. I left not asking questions and thought oh my. Horrible experience would not go back and would pay more to be treated like a customer not a number and an ins claim. Too bad that's what it has come to. read more

My whole family has gone her for years. Great service and friendly staff make for a great experience! From the doctors that see you, to the eye glass specialists that fit you for your glasses, to the receptionist that schedule you appointment, they all have a very high level of professionalism that shows in the way you are treated from start to finish. They have a very nice selection of glasses for any style or brand you may want. My family moved to Shakopee 3 years ago and still remain a loyal customer because of the great experience. He truly cares about you, the patient, and what ailments and life events may be impacting your vision. This office is excellent! It was recommended to us when looking for a place to have our 3 yr old daughter's eyes checked. Dr Sollom did amazing "playing games" with her! If you are looking for a family friendly place, you should check this place out. We didn't need glasses this time around, but there were tons of options. read more

I switched to Focused Eye Care when I moved to Lakeville 5 years ago to have an eye doc closer to home and couldn't be more pleased with their level of service. Great hours (with the ability to schedule an appointment online!!) and perfect location make it even better. read more

Went in for a general eye review. What a great thing to happen. From the front desk all the way through the various part of the exam everyone was friendly, professional and doing their jobs with apparent joy. Fun to see that in a place of service and business. My family has seen Dr. Sollom for 5+ years now. Prior to that, as an adult, I went to various eye care providers and none of them were notable in any way. I would get my prescription and then go elsewhere to pick out glasses. My contacts did the job, etc. Then, I had children and I brought them to my then current eye care provider. He wasn't good with kids...So, the search was on for someone different. Things change immensely when you have children and anything that makes the experience pleasant is worth a lot. Dr. Sollom engages your child in small talk, expresses genuine interest in whatever they happen to be excited about at that moment and the appointment flies by and your are done! And, as an adult patient, I have been more than happy with the attention to detail he has in finding just the perfect prescription for my contacts. read more

Pricy, poor quality, spent couple hundred dollars out of my pocket plus insurance coverage to prescribe a progressive reading glasses, the readable area of the glasses was very limited unless to raise up the head to read another inch high up, the lady said will make another pair of glasses for me, it took another 20 days to get the glasses, tried it, the result the same, no improvement, the lady stick a nose pad on the non adjustable nose pad in order to read a little bit better, but no improvement but painful to wear it, she said only allowed to remake the glasses one time, that means they will not get it fixed unless I pay full price for another pair new glasses, I left the shop with my poor quality new glasses and disappointing, the lady called me next day said they have a better frame for the lens, but I have to pay another $50 for the frame, please give me a break, I won't trust this company anymore, just wasted couple hundred dollars for a bad experience in my life time. read more

If I could put ZERO I would. There is something not right going on in this office, they said they give discounts if I paid for the eye exam up front instead of billing the insurance company. Paid them up front, I submitted my claim to our insurance company, almost 2 months later called my insurance company asking where my reimbursement was. Turns out that our insurance company paid Focused because THEY BILLED THEM for what we had already paid for! They double billed. After their billing lady argued with us for 2 days it wasn't until we threatened to go to the state did we receive a refund and apology. Gave them a second chance and they did it again, tried to get us to pay up front again repeatedly had to tell them to bill it to insurance. Also tried to force us to pay for a service that wasn't necessary. Called the billing office again regarding billing for something that wasn't preformed got the same treatment we did last time... even more rude. There is something fishy with their billing. Not stepping foot in Focused Eye Care again, we don't recommend them. read more
