At the very least, he did not take careful enough notes to remind himself of a conversation he had with his patient and the reasoning why he prescribed a particular treatment plan. Decisions made following a thorough, lengthy discussion during visits, he would prescribe medication, one would assume based off of his professional medical expertise, only to later insinuate that I somehow 'tricked' him into him prescribing a particular medication. Finally, as he begins the process of retiring, he hires two young ladies who should not be in the field of medicine. Young, condescending, belittling, unprofessional, and would reverse an established treatment plan on a whim. No discussion. No replacement treatment, just stopped because they just didn't like it. If you've never found yourself in this type of situation with your established medical team, I will tell you, it is terrifying. There is nothing you can do or say. As your new, forced upon you physician/PA/nurse, they hold all authority, removing you off medication that you depend on as part of your care. Absolutely do not trust this practice. It was an embarrassing and humiliating experience. I was embarrassed for them. Akin to a group of children playing doctor. Clueless and dangerous.

The other woman did help me with the situation and get onto the portal so I was able to get copies of my CT scan and information needed for my doctor or future doctors that will need this information. I deducted stars simply because of the woman at the front desk, who was very rude to me, and she kept interrupting when I was talking to the other lady who was helping. Updated 2 weeks later. No one is answering the phone and my ent needs a report faxed over so I have to drive over there to speak to someone in person and hope they provide it for me.

Also, she has a wild sense of humor, which I always appreciated. The only downsides were that, when I was her patient (I have since moved out of the area) I had to wait a very long time before being called in for my appointment, sometimes 45 minutes or more! Visited this office more times than probably normal since I had a twin pregnancy. Office staff was…read morealways friendly and accomodating when I was there, and when scheduling appointments. The office is extremely clean and nicely decorated. There is a TV in the waiting room, as well as bottled water for patients. Ultrasound technicians were amazing. So friendly and personable, and kept me informed during their scans. Even provided me with a disk of all ultrasound photos to update at each appointment. Both Dr. Burstyn and Fickies were wonderful. I saw them both throughout my pregnancy, and Dr. Fickies ended up being on call the day my water broke and performed my C-section. She has a very calm demeanor, but also seemed genuinely excited for us before and after delivery. Dr. Burstyn was at Bellevue every day checking up on me, making sure my incision was healing properly, and also checking up on my babies in the NICU. I cannot say enough great things about this practice, and will continue to visit their office for my annual OBGYN visits.

I never had an issue with PA Haley Decker, but ever since I've seen Dr. Elina Burstyn, all I've had is problems. She considers 120/80 (and close to) as high blood pressure even though it's considered normal. I even talked to my primary care doctor about my blood pressure, and my primary has no concerns at all. Elina Burstyn changed my birth control with no plan in place, changing it only on her opinion that she thought my blood pressure was high, never asking for my opinion or creating a plan to monitor my health. She never explained how the birth control she put me on would affect me. She talked in circles, not being able to explain questions when asked, and acted very offended and rude when asked questions that challenged her opinion or sought out more clarification. Do not go here; you don't deserve to be treated like this. Find a practice that will treat you with kindness, respect, and not medically gaslight you.
