I don't live near Folsom so I am not able to go shopping here often, but I do try to go once or twice every month. We usually get there later in the day, 6-7pm and spend about 2-3 hrs. It seems like 2-3 hours is just enough time to shop as much as I want in all the stores I want to go in with my family. A very fun place to shop, with friendly staff. I have found the other shoppers to be friendly too. There is an eatery, where you can choose to eat from a variety of places. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Some stores do change from year to year, but there always seems to be a variety of stores such as a candy store, shoe stores, womens and mens clothing stores, kids and teens clothing stores, toy store, jewelry store and kitchen store. The prices are much better then other places you can buy these brands. You can find blouses for as little as $5, t-shirts for as little as $2! Painfully outdated. Honesty walking around felt like going back in time to the 90's. The place definitely could use a update. The stores are pretty run of the mill. There is no food (other than 1 food truck) and not a lot of places to sit and also not much shade either. It's marketed as outlets but it's really just a normal shopping mall with no real discounts or reason to make a special trip to visit.On the plus side parking is easy and it's close to freeway access. read more

Illegal Key Master machines throughout the entire outlet. I was out here with my family to do some holiday shopping. Over by the Nike store there was a machine called key master that had some really expensive shoes in it. My son paid to play it and it took the money but didn't play. We called the number on the machine and didn't get an answer. We later went to Vans and seen the exact same machine over there and paid for that one. The EXACT same thing happened. About a week goes by. Still no reply. I guess Facebook heard me because I get a video about these machines which makes me look further into it. Come to find out, these key master machines are 100% illegal! There were so many lawsuits about this machine it's not even funny. Now I just need to decide what to do from here because now that I know how those machines work, it's a really sleazy way to do business and I can't even imagine how many people have played this "game". I can not believe how bad the customer service has gotten at this GuessFactory store in Folsom Outlets. This lady with the dye blond hair has given me a lot of attitudes and bad customer service today when I was there. She argued with me on a lot of items today. I have been going there for 20+ years and have spent so much money there, and that's what I got today! After her bad attitudes and arguing with me over and over, I decided to leave the store and didn't buy anything. However, I don't plan on return to this store. I would rather just buy it online. At least I don't need to deal with that b*tch. I think she needs to be fired and they need to hire some nice customer service employee. read more

I was here the other night to go Christmas shopping and I must say it wasn't busy. Thankfully, I was able to enjoy my space and take my time shopping without the crowd. This outlet seems a little bit quiet. Lots of parking. The outlet structure is a little bit confusing to get from point a to point b. Lol. I remember parking nearby underarmour and walking across to Nike was extremely confusing. I was behind some buildings. It was pretty dark when I went but that kind of threw me off. Lol. Not a lot of stores but they did have good sales. I visited Nike, Adidas, Kate Spade, Coach, American Eagle, Forever 21 (no men section)... TAX IS CHEAP! I REPEAT TAX IS CHEAP! My friends and I scored good deals! Very happy to come back and now that I know Kate Spade had a 70% sale + tax is cheap I will come back! I believe during the day time is better because you can see where you're going. I also thought around this time (WINTER TIME) they would have Christmas decorations but I guess not. Lol! I only seen one inflatable Santa Clause on top of a clothing store but that was it. My review is not based on holiday decorations but it would have made me feel like I was in the Christmas spirit. I've come here a couple of times, once in the summer and once in the fall. These are outdoor stores and the heat is very intense in the summertime. Bring lots of water. The best weather is in the fall so it's great to come then. Please don't come here and think that you're going to have a decent lunch. The food court is a total joke and the other snack places they have are barely open with old products. That aside, they do have good stores here. The Banana Republic and Gap here have good deals. The Coach, Dressbarn and Skechers store also have deals worth checking out. Navigating here is a little odd, they definitely need more signage. The Cosmetic company store at Folsom premium outlet has the worst sales persons I have ever encountered. They were the rudest and did not belong in a sales job. Manager and employee were equally bad. Weren't interested in doing any business and every question was answered in a rude manner.. avoid going to the store, unless you want to be treated like a second class citizen. This was a once great premium outlet location close to home with all of the best top of the line stores to see all in one location. Since visiting recently it has really lost its luster with a lot of of the stores sitting empty . And when I mean a lot... I mean a lot! Pretty much every other store is closed down with a for lease sign in the window. So sad. read more

Today I visited the Folsom outlets with with my husband, our 11 month old and 2 year old daughter. We bought a carmel apple at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and enjoyed it on the bench between that store and Carters. A women who was clearly on drugs and possibly homeless was walking around that area had suddenly approached my family. She came up right next to us (uncomfortable close) and started whispering which was too quiet for us to understand what she was saying. We felt very unsafe and started to get up to walk away. When doing so, the woman screamed at us saying "I'm going to kidnap and torture your baby" and started following us aggressively. She continued to scream and cuss at us when we didn't do anything to provoke this kind of behavior to us. We were minding our own business and ignoring her. We hurried into the first store we could find which was Carters. When opening the door to Carters, she slammed the door into my husband and continued screaming. I asked the worker at Carters to call for help, which she immediately did. During that time the woman had ran off and the security officer didn't arrive until 5-10 minutes after the incident. We stayed in Carters during that time to make sure it was safe for us to leave. When the security officer arrived, he didn't ask us for a statement. They acted like it wasn't a big deal and went on with their day. I was baffled by this. The least I felt they could have done was talk to us and ask if we needed to be escorted to our car. My family was rattled and are not comfortable going to this location again. read more

This nail shop is amazing! My friend and I came in around 830 and wanted to get dip nails. She welcomed us in even though she knew we would be there past closing. She stayed almost an hour and a half after closing to make sure everything was perfect. Not only was she super sweet and amazing but didn't rush to try and finish everything fast. We came here to do some Xmas shopping and were happy to see a small food truck event was being held here. There were only four trucks but it was fun anyways. The Folsom Outlets have gone done in my opinion one of the main anchors Saks was replaced by VF or something like that a discount clothier. The kitchen gadget store that used to have fun gadgets and free samples to try is also gone. Although the parking lot was pretty full, there was not much foot traffic here, so don't be afraid to come here to holiday shop if your looking for some bargains. read more

The Folsom Premium Outlets are one of better outlets in the area. The FPO has just about the same stores as any Premium Outlet, such as Vacaville and Napa, but the FPO has a slight edge on Vacaville due to all of the stores being contained in one structure and not needing to cross a busy street in order to shop at the other stores, like Vacaville. The only knock on this shopping center is the lack of viable food options within walking distance, but if you feel like driving; they're some damn good crepes nearby, let Yelp be your friend and take an extra gastronomic adventure. read more

I have some hometown bias, but overall the Folsom outlets are average. I would avoid it at any time of the summer when it is 100 + degrees out because it does take a while to walk from one end to the other. However, if you read the store directory and plan ahead, it can make for some convenient shopping for less. Luckily, I know this outlet inside and out. There is tons of parking, but I always park on the "new" side by Off Saks, power through 4 or 5 stores in an hour and get out of there! I find some great items here that I wear for years. Note that Nike is on the exact opposite side of this area I mentioned, so either repark or be prepared to walk a bit (possibly sweat) a lot to get there. I don't eat here and it is about 10 mins from where I grew up, so I dunno what they have in the food court. I'm Asian, so I like a good deal! I won't pass up some $8 Gap Chinos or additional 25% off sweaters at Banana. Do note the quality of the products that you are buying. Some stores do sell merchandise from their actual stores, but a lot of the items are made for outlet, so be smart. I try not to buy things that I will wash twice then toss aside because it was crap quality. But if you know what to look for and aren't "bored shopping" you'll find some good items! read more

I would say the stores are on the smaller side. There are a good amount of deals you can find here. Some deals are total steals, depending on which stores you look into. For me, I like Nike outlets.. this one was very small compared to others I've been to. I didn't have anything in particular I really wanted to get, I was just there browsing. This place is close to home, so I frequently shop here. I find everything I need quickly since parking is available everywhere! You get a lot more for your money since it's an outlet store AND there's always a sale of some kind going on. Who doesn't love getting more for less?! I recently discovered a wonderful toy store here that's perfect for small kids. It's like Toys R Us' educational toys section in one shop. I LOVE IT! Probably can do more damage to my wallet here than the rest of the stores. The rail station is next to the outlets. It's an option for those who don't want to drive. The outlet is easily accessible. Close to the freeway, bike trails, plenty of eateries, etc. Almost no reason not to go here! The one thing missing... a coffee spot. Crazy, isn't it?! read more

It wasn't too great. I've been to quite a few outlet malls & experiencing the many deals around that there are, this one wasn't too impressive as far as sales. Prior to our trip I went online & discovered there's a VIP type of membership one can have w/all of the Premium Outlets across the US as well as other areas.. (Check it out-just Google VIP membership Premium Outlets & it'll come up- register & you're in, I believe..forever ). So I printed out several coupons I found online I thought I'd use, which I didn't..no time to. Once we did arrive, I went straight to the Info Center as directed by the website "and" one of the coupons stating I'd be receiving a "VIP Coupon Book".. Ok well this "book" isn't a book @ all, it's a 3 fold 8 1/2 x 11 folded sheet of semi gloss paper with maybe size 2 Font for the words of your discounts on the inside sheets..as you can clearly see in my photos. It's hardly legible. You have to spend a lot to get any kind of deal so where's the deal in that??!! I walked around, separated from my daughter & her friend of course bcuz it'd cost m o r e M O N E Y Y.. Lol I didn't see too many things that reached out to me & screamed that I must have..except for a hat bcuz of the . I also noticed that those walking around weren't carrying a ton of bags either. Not that great of sales & I know that these are made for outlets so I can't expect a miracle but I expect better deals than the stores, I mean come on... I did like the set up of it being that it's outside & you walk around w/plenty of restroom facilities that were very clean, air conditioned & had toilet paper . There were plenty of places to sit down & relax if you needed to & vending machines with Cokes & waters being advertised for $1. I did have a nice day though so I'm not complaining. It's a great place for shopping and sometimes there are some pretty good deals. They do have a lot of cool children's clothing and quality clothing for workout clothes. I have to say that you can get a lot of shopping done here and also find the best deals. They even have places where you can find something to eat and nearby restaurants in the area if you ever feel famish after hours of shopping. This review is on behalf of my wife and daughter who liked deals they got at Forever 21 and Adidas. They bought at some other stores too. I walked all over to find the map because for checking in on Yelp (yes, a TIP for you yelpers!) you can get a $5 savings passport. SO I went on a trek to get that bonus for the fam to use. Then I located the info center only to have it close at 5pm and when I got there it was just past 5pm. Seriously!? Why not let you redeem the $5 at any one store of your choice instead of going to an info center to pickup some booklet with probably $1 off savings. So lame. Totally not fun when walking around looking for something in 110 degree heat. Many stores on the maps are not accurate. They either closed or moved location. This outlet is very small. It has some stores people look for, but many they don't have like other outlets. I did not go into the food court but it was just Taco Bell and a few others. It looked like a ghost town. Great selection of stores, but kind of confusing layout. I power shopped and was in and out in 2 hours and hit most of the places I wanted to go to. I'm sure I could have stayed longer. For kids stuff: Gymboree, Carters, Osh Kosh, The Children's Place, Gap Kids, Stride Rite (shoes) For women: Coach, Calvin Klein, Banana Republic, Nike, Nine West, Off 5th, Jockey. This place has the standard outlet stores. Parking was plentiful on a Sunday Night. The layout is a bit awkward. It seems like this place use to be a business office building and it was converted to a commercial mall. All the stores have a single door for an entry and exit so it can get a bit crowded trying to enter or exit the store. read more

This place is great for kids clothing & shoes. I usually find some pretty cool deals at Carter's, The Children's Store and Osh Gosh. But, you have to be there at the right time! I kind of just peek in quickly and see if there is a sale to be had. I have been here so many times, that I know the layout of this place. I know the shortcuts, where the bathrooms are and the best place to park! But I can understand how others would think it's like a maze. The first time I came here, I got turned around. I love the Lancome outlet. Sometimes I hit it right when they have their 5 items for $15! I stock up and do some gift shopping then. I really like that store. The staff know me, pretty scary. I check out Bebe too and then realize after spending 30 minutes in there trying on stuff that I am just too old for that! I never learn my lesson. I don't have the stick figure I had in my 20's. Off 5th is fun - I usually buy stuff at their clearance sales. I'm not a labelly type of person, more a "I'll buy it if I like it". So finding something I like and it just happens to have a name brand is a plus. I agree that the food court needs some work. I went to the nearby Appleby's, I won't go there again. Dingy, the food wasn't good and the service was lacklustre. But hey, back to the outlets. Being outdoors is a plus. I can't stand shopping in an enclosed artificial environment. Our usual pit stop when driving back from Tahoe. It helps when you have a little one that needs a break from a long car ride. They have a huge selection of brand names. Some of my favorite stores include, Banana Republic, GAP, Saks 5th, Quiksilver, and all of the kid stores like Carter's, Gymboree, and even a Baby GAP. It's the best when they have huge sales with additional 50%. Not a lot of people shop here, so you get good selection. read more

I like how it's convenient enough to walk to every store, yet at the same time, you can get lost! I swear, I wanted to find PacSun and I just couldn't find it. Maybe we missed some turn here or there, but it still pissed me off. And the sales aren't that great. I mean, if you go to a big brand name place, you're not going to save much. And don't even bother with the food court. It's one of the worst places I've ever seen. Although, it still has some cool stores, like Nike, Gap, and Bebe, but I guess I picked a really bad time to go shopping. But I do love all the little kiddy quarter machine rides!! Folsom Outlets is the closest us Sacramentans have for designer clothes for cheap. It may not be the greatest outlet in the world, but you'll definitely find some good deals for things if the brand you like is located here. I can't say it's my favorite place in the world, but it's slowly adding more stores which is nice. They just added a Forever 21 (not an outlet because let's face it, it's already cheap as it is.) It's not that big, but gets the job done. There's a Off Saks, and a really big GAP. You'll probably be able to find some good deals, or if you just want to browse while taking a stroll outside. (Just try not to go on a hot day.) Parking sometimes can be a pain, but for the most part, it's not too bad. If you're spending a good day out there, you can always go to Century theaters across the street for 7.00 movies all day everyday. (No, they did not pay me for this message.) read more
