I'm extremely disappointed and upset by how I was treated at this bar. I was denied entry solely because I had my service dog with me--an action that violates both California state and federal ADA laws. When I tried to explain this, the security guard, Mason, flat-out refused to let us in, citing "allergies" as the reason. I calmly asked to speak with the manager, but Mason said I couldn't go to him, wouldn't call him, and that I should just "come back tomorrow." That is not how any guest--especially someone with a disability--should ever be treated. This wasn't just ignorance--it was willful discrimination. I expect better from any establishment claiming to serve the public. Until this bar takes responsibility and properly trains their staff on disability rights, I'll be telling everyone I know to avoid this place.

Visited to check out a great little Indie band Azucal. Heard a lot about this place but never visited despite all my visits to old Folsom (In my defense, mostly on a bike.) This place is great and really is a nice little gem for Folsom. This place seems to take security pretty seriously with the pat downs I was surprised how thorough but appreciate the work they do to ensure the safety of the place. Not sure if this change but the comments from prior posts made me thing this place would a little rougher crowd. After that everything was pretty smooth. Powerhouse seems to be separated between 3 major areas with a lot of different areas to enjoy yourself depending on your taste of music and the crowd. Adding to this there was atleast 3 separate bars so there wasn't a long wait despite how busy it was. I really enjoyed this place for all the little areas we could hang out if we wanted to step away from the dance floor. Staff was great as well and didn't have any issues getting drinks. Only issue would that this place is pretty pricey for the type of environment but I attribute that also to its location in old Folsom. Overall enjoyed this place and would visit again!

Wow it was great experience. JOEL is definitely a showman my clients loved it! He is a incredible mixologist :) Smoke, bubbles, lighting ice cubes, drinks with real fruit, crazy syrups, he could make me a sweet drink and then a non-sweet cucumber drink. It wasn't incredible. Great DJs, multiple rooms, live bands definitely fits. Everybody's need in one place.

Great local place to hang out and listen to some great bands and enjoy some cocktails. They do not serve food but next door has great food. The drinks are delicious and service is pretty friendly.

This room has tons of neon paint and funky decor, it's also where they have live music playing and an upstairs area you can sit in. The other areas are indoor/outdoor and they have seats outside on the front and back patio you can sit and smoke at. Depending on a lot of factors you might love it or might not. There's a big mix of people you'll meet here and there are some interesting individuals you'll meet. For the most part the music is decent, lots of space to dance, good drinks, and you can definitely make it more fun with a great group of people.

My ticket cost $100 plus a $7 service fee. If you want professional ballet, you have to head to SF Ballet in San Francisco. Harris Center is part of Folsom Lake College, a community college. It's a school auditorium. Rows are narrow. Seats are not that comfy or spacious. It does not compare to the beautiful performing arts theaters in downtown Sacramento or San Francisco. There were two sets of restrooms on the main floor. Not very many stalls in one women's restroom, maybe like 6. I thought this wording on the ticket and parking permit printout was confusing: "Ample parking is located adjacent to the Harris Center facility in Lot D." I guess the Harris Center is located in Lot D because there is definitely not enough parking in Lot D alone. We and many others ended up parking in the much larger nearby Lot C. Passes purchased through campus kiosks are $2. On the map, I saw three Daily Parking Permit kiosks located on College Parkway, the loop around campus. Passes purchased online or through the box office are $3, incurring a $1 administrative fee. If you order online, remember print your parking permit to display on your dashboard. It's good that parking is easy and inexpensive.

My wife, being the supportive queen that she is, came with me. In return, I'm pretty sure I owe her a Hilary Duff concert. Sacrifices must be made for love. This was our first time at Goldfield and we honestly loved the venue. Check-in was quick and easy, and we decided to upgrade our seats to get dedicated barstools along the top rail. Best decision ever. My knees are no longer built for mosh pits. I'm pretty sure I heard them pop just watching the chaos from above. The highlight of the night was our dedicated server. I think her name was Hannah... or Ana... or something close. She was the one who checked us in and gave us the green wristbands for the barstools. Absolute rockstar. Friendly, professional, and fearless. I say fearless because she navigated through packed crowds to bring us our drinks without spilling a single drop. That deserves a gold medal. Goldfield, give her a gold star and maybe some bonus PTO. She earned it. As for the venue layout, there really isn't a bad spot in the house. I loved the two upstairs sections on both sides of the stage. Great views, great energy, and you still feel fully immersed in the show. Only heads up: the bathrooms are small, and depending on where you're standing, your journey there might require cutting straight through the mosh pit. So plan accordingly and stretch first.
