I commute from the South Bay to go here because if there's any place this good where I live, I sure haven't found it. Shout out to all the staff, including Theresa, the RN who prepped me for my last endoscopy, my MD Dr. Pecha, who is always friendly, knowledgeable and efficient, but special mention must go to CRNA Brad. I had been dreading a colonoscopy for sometime now. However, I can honestly say if I had to do it again next week, I would, and that's all because of the experience I had with an amazing Doctor and the entire team Folsom Sierra. First of all Dr Ingram is amazing!!!! From the first time I met him for my consult, to questions I had during prep to post procedure, he was supportive and top notch the entire time. He was quick to respond to messages I sent in MyChart during my prep which was so appreciated. Check in for my procedure was quick and easy. I was taken back by Summer who was very nice. Summer and Sean got me prepped and another nurse did my IV which was painless. My biggest fear of the whole procedure was the anesthesia. That's until Chris, my anesthesiologist came in and really put me at ease. He really was patient, kind and so supportive, even when I was moved to tears. He's a gem, I was so thankful he was exactly what I needed to get me through the process. My procedure was scheduled for 1:30pm but I was getting my propanol injection at 1:21 and the next thing I knew I was in recovery with my husband by my side as I woke up. I was given a water and cranberry juice by a great nurse, I just can't recall her name. Dr Ingram stopped by to see me about my procedure and again, a great supportive pep talk. I am a Kaiser member and they were book out for months. I had the option to choose outside of Kaiser for my procedure. I chose to do that and very pleased of the options. I had Dr Miller and he was the best! He took the time to let me know what was the procedure and will let me know what he will find. Hubby had his first colonoscopy and the team here at Folsom Sierra truly has a wonderful system in place to ensure a smooth, friendly and welcome experience. From start to releasing to go home we were treated with a friendly and well informed partnership. I was able to walk in just as my hubby was waking up from his sleep zone and Cassie was very helpful by answering any questions I had. The doctor provided information as well and we never felt pressure or rushed to leave the curtained recovery room. We were escorted out by hubby seated in a wheelchair and Cassie was very kind and friendly throughout the entire process. I have been dreading getting my own colonoscopy performed however since my hubby had a positive experience I am less hesitant to schedule my own now! read more

This review is for three procedures - a colonoscopy for my wife, a colonoscopy for me, and an endoscopy for me that all occurred over the last six months. Both of us are very healthy people in our 50's. The people are very nice and very professional. The cleanliness and attention to detail are where the concerns based on our combined experiences lie. - My wife contracted C diff as a result of her colonoscopy procedure, which calls into question how sterile the procedure environment and/or equipment is. - I wound up with a cut in my nostril from the oxygen tubing that was attached to my nose. I complained about that immediately in the recovery room. I called the day after the procedure with symptoms of an infection spreading into my eye and was told to flush it with saline solution. It wound up infected and I was directed to go to Urgent Care. -Despite clear notes on my chart that I have an allergy to medical adhesives, two cardiac monitoring devices were left on my chest after the colonoscopy. That's just sloppy work to not remove all the monitoring devices that were put on, especially given the notes in my chart regarding the allergy to adhesives. Folsom Sierra Endoscopy Center is wholly owned by the doctors who perform procedures there. You would think doctors would have procedures in place to ensure a safe experience. However, this may be a case where doctors are focused on profits and are cutting corners on procedures to ensure a safe, clean environment. My wife and I have had a total of four colonoscopies and two endoscopies in our lifes. This is the only location where either of us have had complications from these procedures - and we both had issues. Caveat emptor read more

Absolutely not! I went in for a routine colonoscopy and Dr . Zhornitsky perforated my colon. I spent nine days in the hospital and am still in pain after almost two weeks at home, using a walker and severe pain when eating. Haven't had so much pain since labor. read more

A colonoscopy is a medically necessary procedure I have done every 5 years, but it's not one I look forward to. So writing a review about it is not something I would normally do. I'd just want to get it it done and get out of there fast and forget about it. But the experience was so good I thought others out there who are a little bit anxious and apprehensive about their pending procedure might benefit from my comments. Overall, the quality of their service was excellent! It's nice to know there are professionals at the Sierra Endoscopy Center who know just how to make things quick, efficient, through, but most importantly, painless. About a week prior to the appointment date, I received a phone call outlining the process, describing the necessary preparation prior to the appointment, and asking if I had any questions. Then the day before, I received another call asking how the prep was going and confirming the necessary arrival time, again, asking if I had any questions. Then, once I arrived, the most involved part of the process was at check-in, reading and signing the many necessary forms prior to the start of the procedure. But once the paperwork was completed, and things got moving with the procedure, all of the staff, from the check-in person, the nurses, anesthetist, and doctor, were all very personable, communicative, understanding and very skilled at what they do! Coming out of the anesthesia, I was a little groggy, which was normal, and I was given time to "come to" and I rapidly recovered. Post procedure, the doctor reviewed what they had done, offered suggested guidance for the future, etc., and also given a sheet of things to do should there be any negative symptoms following the procedure. (There were none) Then they offered me the choice of a wheelchair ride or an accompanied walk to the car outside. I felt fine, so I chose the accompanied walk. So I was accompanied by a staff member to my awaiting ride home to make sure I was able to get in the car safely in case I was still a bit wobbly. (But I was not) Then a few days after the procedure I received a follow-up phone call to make sure I was doing fine. (Which I was) So yeah, I was very pleased by the experience. I might not get the spellings right, but I would like to personally thank all of the attending staff, including Marissa, Kera, Theresa, Zoey, Disaree, Aubree, Greg and Alex who made this experience worth writing a Yelp review about! My first endoscopy experience and I am really glad it was here in this place. I cannot find even the tiniest thing wrong with the place, the doctors and the staff, the procedure and the way they treated me from start to finish! I started out a little nervous. The staff at the front desk were very nice and knowledgeable of their process that all my paperwork was done and over in less than 15 minutes. All explained and signed! The place was very clean, and they did practice Covid precautions to the letter...taking your temperature, the disinfectant before handling the paperwork, and social distancing. It wasn't long before the nurse, Ruth, called me in for preparation for the procedure. Room Number 5, she called it. Clean and well-equipped. All my paperwork was explained to me again, including additional papers for the actual procedure. I got changed into a gown, with all my belongings neatly stowed inside plastic bags. Sensors and IV's were put in place. My nurse had light hands. Most of all, a friendly disposition. But then again, everyone there was above board! My doctor, Dr, Canio, came in and reassured me that all will be well. And when my anesthetist came in and explained the good stuff she was injected me with, I couldn't be less impressed by her cheerfulness...even at my bad jokes. She rolled me out into where the endoscopy was to take place. The assistant put a mouthpiece on me and my world went away for a few... I woke up under the care of another great nurse, Linden(?) I think was her name. Not totally sure...must be the drugs...Ha-ha-ha! And she stayed with me all throughout while I slowly recovered, gave me a drink of water, got dressed and carefully guided me as I walked outside to the parking, to my waiting wife who was my driver after the procedure. I wouldn't want to be visiting places like these often or ever at all. But if ever I do, this establishment will always be at the very top of my list! They get nothing from me but high praise! read more

I did not have a good experience. It was my fourth one in 3 years, I had a basis for comparison. This was the first time there and the first time I described the experience as unpleasant. Details are unnecessary, but when I turned in a negative review of their survey I was hit with an extra $275 charge that was not covered by my insurance. Yes, a company whose sole source of income is billing insurance companies according to a well negotiated agreement, caught by surprise and had to pass the cost on to me. Then I see nothing but 100% five star reviews here...yeah right! No scrubbing going on here. read more

The RN's, the anesthetist, the doc and the staff were all wonderful. My physical and emotional comfort seemed to be their first and only priority. Every step was explained carefully and every staff member introduced themselves and their role in my care. The facility was spotless and comfortable. The procedure was quick and painless.... Highly recommended for efficiency, cleanliness, friendliness, attention to detail, bedside manners, and professionalism. Their large staff-to-patient ratio makes you feel as comfortable as possible during such an uncomfortable procedure. Just returned home from a double winner.
