We have just welcomed my grandson into the world! My daughter in law came here through out her pregnancy and gave birth here. Labor didn't go as planned and she ended up with a C section. Everybody was fantastic! All staff! Rooms were big! Care was phenomenal! Her stay here was 5 days. Nobody wants to be here that long but they really did make it as comfortable as possible for her. We stayed at my sons house to watch the dogs and were able to visit easily and drop off food when they were tired of hospital food, which I hear wasn't terrible! Again huge shout out to everyone in the birthing center! Excellent job you guys! We appreciate you!

Marshall Hospital Shout outs & sharing my appreciation My entire experience started last weekend. I entered the ER for a medical emergency from the moment I walked in the front door, to the min I was wheeled up to ICU to wheeled out the front doors Thursday was beyond fantastic! I was met by some amazing medical staff, intake personnel , Doctors, Surgeons, Specialists, RN's, RN Intern, Aides, Lab technicians, CT, Ultrasound, Xray, phlebotomists, kitchen staff and housekeeping ..literally all I had come in contact with.. made an impression... even the loudest voices in the waiting room were heard ... lol Thankfully not too long.. To me; It's obvious each of you love what you do and are very good at it, taking pride, care, concentration, conducting yourselfs in high regard and respect for others.. thank you for dedication to your profession. I really appreciate each and everyone of you who provided me with kindness and care from a simple good morning, how ya feeling, to cleaning up my mess, pocking me with needles, taking my temp, reading my results, wheeling me to different areas safely and not too fast for testing, giving me medication through IV and oral all hours of the night, insuring the lights were off and noise level was not to high, bringing food, water and ensuring the bed and table levels were acceptable and my room being clean and safe.. and so much more.. Last but not least ...of course applauding the rock stars Doctors, Nurses, Aides for your unwavering dedication to patient care (my care) your genuine concern and support means a lot to me. Thank you for going above and beyond to ensure my wellbeing.. and respecting my decisions whether or not you agreed.. Shout out by name to those I can recall.. Thank you isn't enough I appreciate you #Dr.Lineberry absolutely a 1 in million- rockstar #Dr.Randhawa very thorough #ICU Department Doctors and staff #cardiology #Radiology #oncology #chaplin services #socialservices #MedicalRecords #scans department #RN'sHeidi,Jaynah,Saskia,Jenny,Michael,Artem,Kevin, #Aides,Cheryle,Lynn #HousekeepingServices, Maria &Mandeep And let me end with saying.. the care provided was not based on my "medical insurance " if that was the case ... they way outperformed themselves for the lowest cost rate of return.. Thank you my picture provides reassurances that a happy lady leaves the hospital that entered in severe cardiac stress. #lovehealthcareproviders #gratitude #medical

Billing Fraud has moved from double billing Medicare, to falsely diagnosing people w/Psych disorders to get a larger reimbursement.

I had a horrifying experience in April of 2024 here. I came for treatment for a neurological disorder that had become exacerbated, but was labeled psychotic, treated like I wasn't even a human being. I wasn't allowed to have visitors or make phone calls and there is no documentation in my records as to why my civil rights were revoked. It shouldn't matter if a person is truly psychotic or not, but staff here will treat you like a second class citizen if they believing you are a psychiatric patient. Staff would not allow my husband to visit with me and they never even told me he showed up. I was devastated because I thought my husband had abandoned me when I was in a neurological crisis. When I requested my medical records, they were filled with errors, and they falsely documented that my husband agreed to transfer me to a psych ward. As if my husband doesn't know my medical history. He would NEVER do that! Staff at Marshall documented that my rights to use the phone or have visitors were revoked. Whether you're on a 5150 hold or not, this is a violation of a person's Civil Rights and in violation of the Lanterman Petris Short Act (which BTW, the patient advocates and staff at Marshall told me they "never heard of the LPS Act", which is the law that governs 5150 Holds, and the law that California put into place in the 1960s TO END INDEFINITE HOSPITALIZATIONS AND CONSERVATORSHIPS and to make sure psychiatric patients did not have LESS RIGHTS THAN PRISONERS) My husband wrote Marshall a signed letter asking them to change the false documentation and false quotes in my records, but they wouldn't. El Dorado County Behavioral Health ended up correcting their false documentation in my records. But it wasn't without a fight. Psychiatric patients (and non-psychiatric patients) who are mistaken for psychiatric patients at Marshall are in real danger of losing their civil rights here and I don't say that lightly. Please, if you care about your loved ones and your own sanity, do NOT go here!!!

I'm hungry and thirsty because you can't eat or drink 8 hours before your procedure. I got here on time, but of course they are behind schedule saying some people came in out of sequence. What does that mean? Sigh. I appreciate being taken in on time and not made to sit around getting nervous. I still give this place, the nurses and the doctors high ratings, but I'm upset when they can't keep at least close to the schedule. It's not fair, it sucks, and this shouldn't happen. But, after I was taken in having waited and hour and 15 minutes, they explained how sometimes these things get thrown off due to complications etc. I want to thank the nurses and staff there for being awesome. Great place overall When I was brought in for my procedure I had really only waited about 1 1/4 hour. The nurse asked me how I was and I said, "Angry, I was told to be here at 1:15 for a 1:30 procedure, and I've been sitting here steaming I suppose, but now that you are taking me I'm over it." Lol, why do I do that to myself jeez! She apologized and explained how sometimes surgeries go longer than expected, and that this morning one surgery went an hour over. I too apologized and said I totally understood. Anyway, they are great in there and everything went perfect. Doctor Jarka is awesome, and I really appreciate his help. Keep it up El Dorado Surgery!

The Dr. sold it to me saying the recovery time is faster while she didn't mention as I would be informed by the Anesthesiologist, that some woman have gone blind from this surgery.I didn't do my homework about this Robotic procedure. After 3 days into my recovery my bladder burst open.I went to Renown a trauma hospital which I highly recommend in Reno Nevada. One of the lasers nicked my bladder and I was stitched up. 4 Years later my bladder burst open again. It turned out that a piece of the robot had been left in my body. The O.R. Nurse was blamed for the incident. My message is this: PLEASE KNOW YOUR HOSPITALS,Do your homework regarding your surgery's.Get a second opinion. And choose to be cut open slowly with a scalpel. Anything robotic is insanity! My message to Barton Hospital please only handle sprains and breaks. Please send all patients to Renown or Saint Mary's in Reno. I almost lost my life twice because I foolishly believed the title Dr. The infection caused me cirrhosis of the liver which I recovered from. I also had several teeth that needed implants. I've learned to pick my hospitals wisely and to go see the Dr. who specializes day after day for that specific surgery. The Da Vinci robot belongs in the trash. Sincerely, Natalie

I had driven a 5 hour drive that day and my leg was just not feeling right when I arrived home. Better safe than sorry. This review is about the high points and low points of that visit. Every single one of the medical professionals with whom I came into contact were phenomenal. I am talking the doctors, nurses, u/s technician. The time arriving and departing was appropriate given it is an Emergency Department and I was not in any urgent medical state at that point. I interacted with two registration personnel during my time there. One when I entered the ER and the other at some point during my stay regarding further insurance information. These two employees were the most unprofessional people one could never hope to come into contact with during an emergency visit under any circumstance. It was like they selected the least customer savvy employees they could possibly find to put in critical positions. I was truly agast! Rude, barely able to put a grammatically correct sentence together and not an ounce of compassion nor kindness for the types of patients they were serving. I watched them as I waited demean patient after patient in utter shock. Now... there is no way Mercy Emergency Department management is unaware of these , pathetic, unskilled employees wreaking havoc on sick and, in some cases, frightened patients. There is no world where this would be acceptable behavior. I am certainly glad I am not a Dignity Health plan member. My Health Care Provider would never hire employees like these. What were they thinking? I have read Mercy's responses to some of these Yelp reviews. Embarrassing in my opinion. Better to not respond at all than write pathetic, patronizing dribble. Do better Dignity Health.

Intentionally misleading and false advertisement. I wish I could switch to Kaiser, but I have no idea if my insurance will let me. I also could have sued them, had I had the money to. I had gone to the ER with my debit card, EBT card, and ID card. I had them all in my wallet, and when I got to a room, a security guard handed me my wallet back, empty. (?!?!) I was told by a nurse that "Theres a new protocall, they take patients valuables who are seen for a 5150 to prevent identity theft." Well she was lying through her teeth, because on the way to a diffrent facility, I noticed I still wasn't given back my cards. So a week passes of being at a diffrent facility, and I get discharged home, still with no ID, Debit card, or EBT card. No way to provide myself with food or anything I needed. I come back to Sutter, I ask them about it and they try to convince me that the facility I went to has my cards. I knew they didnt, but just to prove I was not wrong like they wanted to convince me I was, I called them. They checked everywhere and didnt have it. It was clearly their fault, so now they are checking "everywhere they can" (more lies) to find it. After four hours of waiting to get my stuff back, a security guard and a police officer walk up to me. They tell me to leave the premises, or I will be charged with trespassing and arrested. Yeah! They said they will arrest ME after THEY won't give me back my property. I said "Fine, arrest me" because I knew they were in the wrong and not me, but my freind had told me I have to leave because I don't want to go to jail. This should have been the end of things, but I'm LITERALLY WALKING TO MY FREINDS CAR, and we are arguing but WERE STILL WALKING TO THE CAR and the police and security follow us out there and repeat what the told us the first time, and added "Its really not hard to leave." I wish I could have gotten arrested to show a judge that I wasn't in the wrong, but whatever. I left, and ever since then, sutter hospital has treated me like hot, stinking garbage. After what THEY did to ME. I eventually had to just reorder all the cards and be stuck with no access to any money for a while. I would sue the socks off these people if I had the money to.
