I needed their service on a busy Sunday afternoon and the receptionist, nurse and doctor were efficient, kind and professional.

Came back around 1pm and still waiting for paperwork after they called and said it was ready to go. Mind you there is not one single patient in here. Very frustrating. Don't know if i will be returning next time for a physical.

The second I started showing symptoms, I went to urgent care so I could get antibiotics before it got worse. They refused to give me antibiotics because they "can't justify it". I left and got significantly worse that evening. Fever to 104 and Tylenol/ibuprofen barely brought it down to 101. Im an RN so I don't just seek antibiotics for nothing. I am aware of what does and doesn't require antibiotics. The next morning, my husband took me back to urgent care stating I needed antibiotics, as he got very sick (he is healthy) with bacterial pneumonia and I am exhibiting the exact symptoms and he has never seen me this sick. Again, "I can't justify it"... I had 5 days of fevers ranging from 102-104 without it breaking. I finally called my PCP on day 5 because I knew I wouldn't get help here. He was very upset that urgent care knew I was severely immunocompromised and knew my husband had confirmed bacterial pneumonia (yes, we showed the results) and refused to treat me. Long story short, I DID have bacterial pneumonia and did not show any progress until after I started antibiotics. I was very close to requiring an ER visit but I am stubborn. As a nurse, I was appalled at the lack of knowledge with the providers treating immunocompromised patients.

The bed side manners of the staff and doctors is top notch, they really truly care about the wellbeing of the patients. I love that it's catered to kids so it makes it so much easier to take them into the doctors and make them feel comfortable. We've come in for colds and flus and also for a possible wrist break. All three doctors went above and beyond to make my kiddos feel safe and cared for. Huge plus that they have an xray machine at the location! Will always recommend rainbow kids.

No imaging... it was like a 5 minute office visit literally in and out. They're in-network and charged my insurance over $600 for it, yikes. We paid our copay in office. Then we got a bill for $200 in the mail? With absolutely zero explanation of what the charge was for. How much are they trying to make off this? We usually use MDSTAT in EDH and they've never sent us an extra bill. Anyway, I figured it was a mistake and waited for them to clear it up with insurance. They sent it straight to collections like 2 months later. When I tried to call their billing office, no answer, I left a voice mail and they never got back to me. I just paid it to get it over with but 100% will never go back here. I've never had a medical or dental office send a bill to collections, ever, let alone so fast without trying to clear it up with me first. And truly can't believe they charged that much for such a simple procedure. I still don't know what the $200 charge was for considering they're in network and we paid our copay. Oh well, we'll stick with MDSTAT.

Once I received an x-ray at the Madison location, they sent me home with a fingertip splint and no x-ray results until I got home. I asked what I should do if it is fractured, as I've never fractured a bone before, and they said they could not give me that information and they were just there to do the x-ray... So much for getting care... When I got home, I received my results in about an hour, and they found a fracture below my second knuckle-- the splint they gave me did nothing to support it, as it only splinted my fingertip even though clearly the bruising and swelling was closer to the base of my hand. I had to go out and buy myself a better splint where I actually found some relief. The next day when I was still in pain and wanted a genuine professional opinion, I ended up having to go to the hospital to get any actual care. The hospital ended up finding a pretty significant fracture, and I ended up in a large splint and eventually a full hand cobra cast. Seeing what was actually needed to help me heal, this urgent care and its sister location did absolutely nothing and it was a complete waste of time. I have been to this location in the past and had a creepy experience with one of the staff members when I was alone in their exam room. The only reason I went back was because I was in severe pain, and I believed they would actually do something seeing I had a fracture. Do not waste your time here. The people are rude and between both locations I never received any actual care.

I mean they went through the normal procedures for patients who have chest pain, but to see how quickly they got her issue resolved was very impressive to me. Yes we stayed there from 6pm to about 10pm, but that tells me that they were very thorough. From the time we got there until the time we left they were very attentive to her. They took blood a couple of times and also did EKG's a couple of times as well. Being someone who just moved to the Folsom area, we weren't 100% sure on who to go with. They advised to have my wife follow up with her PCP due to they didnt find any Heart Attack symptoms. So let me start off by saying Thank you Mercy Hospital. Your Staff, your attentiveness to my wife didnt go unnoticed and it was very appreciated how well you cared for her. If we need any further Health Care, we will be back.

Upon arrival they checked me in and immediately called me to the billing staff to get my insurance information by the way I pay for my Insurance I'm not a leach on society like all the rest of the tweakers and the morbidly obese in the waiting room. After an hour, they did a blood test to check for cardiac enzymes after two hours. They did a chest x-ray. After three hours They did a CT with contrast. Add about five hours I was thinking it was strange that I still haven't heard anything and haven't even seen a doctor and I'm still sitting in the waiting room while a nurse is playing Dr on me next to tweakers and Folsom's finest lowlifes. They brought me behind a curtain again in the general waiting area and told me they needed to draw more blood at this point I asked them to remove the IV catheter because I intended on going home the phlebotomist went and retrieved the nurse and I asked her to remove the IV catheter. I told her I do not feel comfortable having her play Dr in the waiting room. At this point, she got frustrated with me and told me I was refusing medical service which I replied nicely. I don't believe I've received much medical service nor has anyone talk to me or told me what's going on for 5 1/half hours she also told me if I went home with the IV in my arm she would send the police to my house. I'm no expert in the HIPAA rules, but I believe her telling the police I have IV in my arm would probably be a violation of this. Finally, after some debate, she removed the IV catheter and I went home. I have been to hospitals in Third World countries which are much Cleaner and throw than this hospital and the total cost of the visit was less than my co-pay. I would never go here again. If you're in an ambulance getting transported and they say they're taking you to Folsom mercy kick the back door open and push the gurney out on the highway. I can promise you will have much better luck than the waiting room nurse playing Dr in a petri dish of nastiness, they call a waiting room. The major problem with this hospitals emergency room is that they wear you down and make you never wanna come back how many people die every year because they had such a bad experience of Folsom mercy and decided to stay home instead of go to the emergency room when they need medical attention. Don't be one of those people go to a different hospital and see an actual doctor in an actual hospital room not a nurse playing Dr in a waiting room. For those of you who voted for Obama care I hope you go to this hospital you cause this mess. By the way, I should've checked the Yelp reviews they only had 2 1/2 stars the lithium battery that I purchased on Amazon and it caught fire in my living room had three stars. Steer clear of this place unless you want to dance with the devil. This hospital should be classified as a teaching hospital because they teach you never to come back.
