I came to Fong Asian Dining with some friends, and we all enjoyed the food and had a great time. We ordered the mapo tofu and the fillets boiled in hot chili oil, and both were absolutely delicious. The mapo tofu had that perfect silky texture, with a deep, savory sauce that clung to every bite. It had real mala flavor--numbing, spicy, and addictive. The fish fillets were tender and soaked in a rich chili oil broth that was bold but not overpowering. The chef is from China, and it's really nice to have some authentic Chinese food in Utah. They actually have two separate menus--one is Americanized and the other is authentic haha. Definitely go for the authentic one if you're into real Sichuan flavors. Service was great too. Our waiter was super attentive. The restaurant itself was clean and comfortable, and the food came out fast. I left full, satisfied, and already thinking about what I want to try next time. Tried Fong Asian Dining for the first time this weekend. The service was good and quick. Our waiter was great and very helpful. The food came out very quickly. It definitely is more of a hole in the wall. It isn't very nice inside, it's dirty by the windows, and it definitely is rundown. However, I was actually pleasantly surprised by the food. The cream cheese wontons were OK, you could tell that they were not homemade but they still did the job. The Mongolian beef was actually very tasty and I really liked the fried rice as well. I would say that I wish that the portion size of meat in the Mongolian beef and the amount of chicken in the fried rice was more. Everything was very flavorful and tasted fresh. The quality of the beef was actually a lot higher than I thought it would be as well. I really enjoyed all the peppers and the flavors from the seasoning and onions in the Mongolian beef too. It really had a delicious flavor. I definitely would come back and try it out again. There were a lot of people dining here as well as a lot of to go and pick up orders. read more

I live fairly close to this place, so I finally decided to check it out. Overall, it was an okay experience--nothing particularly great or terrible. The server was friendly, and the food came out quickly, which I appreciated. We started with the cream cheese wontons, which were tasty, but the honey walnut shrimp fell flat for me. I usually love that dish at Chinese restaurants, but this one lacked flavor and sauce, which was a bit disappointing. While I wouldn't go out of my way to return, it might be worth a try if you're in the area and craving something quick. read more

I need to spread the good news of Fong!! This was my fave Chinese place in high school for cheap Americanized Chinese but WOW have they stepped up in a big way. The Sichuan red oil wontons are to die for (better than Din Tai Fung and I do not say that lightly!), mapo tofu is soooo good, garlic green beans are 10/10. The Americanized stuff is still great too but I don't know if I can ever go back after the good stuff. Service was quick for take out, everything was well packaged. Best Asian food I've had in a long time. I for the Mongolian Beef lunch with the noodles. Amazing. The beef is tender and seasoned perfectly. Besides that, the Diet Coke had the perfect mix of syrup and carbonation with crushed ice. Yum! And I was so hot but not spicy. I couldn't even eat it which I love when food getting hot. Great experience! The food and service was excellent! I went with my parents and we ordered the family dinner with orange chicken, beef lo mein, ham fried rice, and cream cheese wontons. The beef in the lo mein was a little chewy, but everything was well-flavored! We got a lot of food; we weren't able to finish it all, so we took leftovers home. I drove over half an hour just to try this highly recommended Guo Bao Rou, and it was a complete disappointment. The dish was soft and soggy with no crispiness at all -- nothing like the authentic sweet and sour crunch it's supposed to have. It tasted more like poorly made sweet and sour pork than real Guo Bao Rou. Honestly, this is the worst version I've ever had, and I couldn't even finish it. Really tasty food! I was surprised that they didn't have any kind of sushi rolls, so don't come here if you are wanting that. Just a heads up. Their Bento Boxes were great though! I really liked the taste and texture of their Lo Mein and their Ham Fried Rice. They had Good flavors and I was really happy with them. Their PotStickers were the typical potsticker and nice and crispy on the outside. I got their Sesame Chicken and it was REALLY good! I liked how the chicken was a crispyish texture, but soft inside and had a good sauce on it. Honestly, I think it will be my favorite sesame chicken from any Asian place. Go check them out! The only "bad" part was that it was 100 degrees outside and when we came inside the restaurant, it was pretty hot inside. They needed to crank the AC up. The food here was really tasty, but the service was really really really bad. It looked like they had one cook and two (fourteen year old?) servers. They entered in the wrong meal for the table behind us and the food took so long that the lady asked them just to bring it out anyways. We ordered three meals. They took a long time to come out (one at a time) and they only brought us two of the three and never brought the rice. We would've let the servers know, but they were so hard to pin down that we couldn't find them. The only reason we got drink refills was because I asked for them as they were setting down the food. Me and my buddy were leaving and were parked in the black Toyota where we overheard this older lady berating the younger male employee with glasses giving the lady her order. What a miserable existence you must have to treat people like subhumans because of sauce out of all things. We were about to leave but I hung around the car giving you that side eye 100-yard stare. This lady continued to try and lecture this guy about how she usually gets more sauce and started going off about how she needs the entirety of sauce in the restaurant to make her happy. But then we heard the man refuse to give her the food and told her he was refusing her service lol! My man was standing up for himself and she waddled inside to get a refund or whatever. We watched her try to yell at other employees and gosh knows what else. To that employee at Fong's we applaud you. To the miserable old lady who probably treats all food service workers with the same level of disrespect, I hope Karma gives you turbo diarrhea in the middle of stopped traffic on I-15. The service here is always so good! You feel like they really care about you and the experience you are having. My go to food is the honey walnut chicken bento box. It comes with 3 sides and I highly recommend the pot stickers, Rangoon's, and fried rice. I'm not a huge fan of their lo mein nor their orange chicken. Fongs is my go to restaurant for Asian dining! Their house lo mein is my absolute favorite and it lasts me a couple of days, but I would eat it every day if I could! They no longer have a full sushi menu which is pretty upsetting because it was delicious, but they are close enough to a sushi restaurant that it's understandable. I haven't had anything I didn't like here and I have tried a good amount of the menu. They are pretty good at quoting a time for togo orders to be ready, but it seems like their front of house is usually understaffed since during busy times there's often only one waitress and in the middle of the day you have to wait to be greeted for a few minutes even when it's empty. What keeps me coming back is the portions and the quality of the food! read more

Compared to other Asian restaurants in the area, Fong has better tasting Chinese food. I have been here a few times now and the food is fresh and cooked well. The service is good too. The only thing I don't like is that is that they don't have a good venting system as it is very smoky in there. I always come out smelling like oil. read more

One of our all-time favorite Chinese restaurants in Utah County! Over the years they have moved locations but they have not wavered on value or taste! Their Lunch Special Bento Boxes are a phenomenal deal: two potstickers, two cream cheese wontons, fried rice and choice of meat all for $7.95. It's the best value anywhere for good quality Chinese food. I thoroughly enjoyed the sesame chicken, nice and sweet like orange chicken but without the orange. The Pepper Beef was a peppery alteration to its sweet brother, Mongolian Beef. And the Orange chicken was classic and made with fresh white meat. The Lo Mein was better than most cheap Chinese restaurants! I don't know what they did to it but it doesn't need any soy sauce at all, it definitely holds its own. The fried rice is always a safe bet, delicious as it should be. The store is a little hidden, but it's located on the same strip mall as Cold Stone and Rocky Mtn Wing Shack, right next to Jacks Donuts. read more

Yesterday our family went to this restaurant. It's clear that ambiance is not the most important to them as the place is very plain but it's the food that knocks this place out of the park. I asked the cooks for a dish that had great flavor and I Referred to "orange beef". Wow was I in for a treat . It was a huge serving ( all their dishes are) of delicious tender but crispy on the outside beef pieces covered w a great orange based sauce. My wife ordered the basil beef which has jalapeño pieces in it, not super hot but it gave it a nice kick. The fried rice was also terrific.
