We use to like it here because of the friendly employees and they use to price match. Seems like all new staff now. The girl who "helped me" today said price matching is against their policy "because they're privately owned" (while looking at my previous purchase from the year prior-that was price matched) mind you I didn't make a purchase at a different optometrist because I liked this place better. Felt like she couldn't be bothered to assist me better & she came off as rude and condescending when she didn't understand my question. we've even recommended family and friends to come here... I've been going here a few years and honestly the staff is always so nice. Today I had a visit with a different dr, Dr Sanchez and she was soooo nice. After she had Betty take me to where the glasses are to go over my insurance. I was a little shocked by how expensive just my lenses were and we explored getting contacts and she answered all my questions, went back and forth quite a few times with me as I figured out what I wanted to do. I was a little frustrated with cost because they switched labs but in all fairness it wasn't the girl who was helping me, fault. She just answered my questions. I had been coming here for eye checkups in the past but it's gone downhill recently. On the day of my exam, I was forgotten in the exam room. After over 20 minutes, the technician saw me out in the hall and said "oh wow, are you still here?" After the doctor finally saw me, I was led to a new technician to check what glasses I could get. After being seated, the lady that came made me feel unwanted. When I asked what my insurance covered, it was as if I was wasting her time. After choosing glasses on my own, I waited over 2 weeks for them to be delivered to the store. After picking up and wearing them, I was disappointed with the quality and had to make another appointment at this awful place. After doing everything over again, I had to wait 3 weeks more my new glasses. They kept telling me that my glasses were "on their way," just for in the end they had to order "rush delivery" because their "lab broke the other lens using the frames you chose?!" I'm not letting family go here anymore, nor will I recommend it to friends. read more

I am a new patient at this facility my sister and her family have been going to this facility for years. So I decided to give it a try. My 1st visit was such a good experience loved it thought I have found my new optometrist. So I receive my glasses I noticed I couldn't really see far mind you I had ordered full time wear progressives, transitions. So I probably had my glasses a week thought ok maybe I need to get used to them. So I go back a week later and the girl don't remember her name but remember she has braces who helped me was very unprofessional I told her I had ordered progressives and flat out said, No you didn't you ordered computer glasses progressives are an upgrade and you would need to move your head up and down! ( I guess trying to discouraging me not to get) I told her I know that. I told her so are you accustomed to letting people get unnecessary upgrades $$? Why would I get transitions for computer glasses. she shrugged ‍ I thought to myself omg how unprofessional. Went in to see the doctor was very helpful but stated would take care of the miscommunication. No miscommunication by me. Left my glasses it's been 2 weeks get a call that my glasses did not pass inspection so they would expedite 5 days or less. Call back after 5 days and will be another week! It's been almost 2 months since my 1st appointment. And still don't have my glasses! read more

After Dr Wong's passing (my favorite eye doctor) I was ready to search for another optometrist until I received a reminder call from Fontana Optometric group that I'm due for my annual eye exam. When I show up to my appointment, I was really skeptical and frankly not expecting much since I would be seeing a new eye doctor. I am extremely picky when it comes to choosing healthcare professionals since I work in the same field. Aside from that I don't have the patience of waiting more than 10 minutes in the waiting room. That's one of the reason why I keep on coming back to this office, I never wait... they are always on time seeing patients. Anyway, I was called in to do some common eye testing before seeing the doctor. I was escorted to seat in one of the examination rooms. Shortly, Dr Flores came in with a wide smile on his face.....He reminds me of Dr Wong, but a lot younger. He is very professional, knowledgeable with all the latest technology, very patient and detailed in explaining my eye condition. He is very precise in doing eye exam, he actually let me wear a sample of his recommended contact lens based on my preference and eye condition...it was so perfect and comfortable! Very accurate. I came back the same day in the afternoon for my husband and kids appointment. My husband had a long time problem with redness and dry eyes. After seeing Dr Flores he came up to me with a big smile, he showed me his eyes and to my surprise his left eye looked so normal again. I wonder if Dr Flores did some magic! He went back inside for the other eye and came out really happy. Dr Flores is also excellent with kids. I went inside with my kids in the exam room, the procedure that used to be done in 35 minutes was done in just 15 minutes with accuracy. I never felt so rushed since Dr Flores explained everything that I need to know. He introduced this new system for young kids that can control or slows down progression of myopia. He gave me some printouts to familiarize myself with the procedure. To summarize everything... I am really impressed with Dr Flores' knowledge to new technology and his accuracy and passion to his work and care for his patients. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED read more

One of the worst experiences for my family. We are new to the area and my husband saw great reviews for this locations. He made an appointment for him and myself Lasik evaluation. As well as son new glasses. 3 Appointments! We get there beautiful office even have my favorite Prada glasses. My son and I were taken back and everything was going good until I heard my technician say to the one who was working with my son. Hey! He is under the age of 18 dont do that test on him!!! I was like what! Anyways we were taken to room 3 to wait for doctor. I was so grateful and appreciative we had an amazing Dr. so inform and really made us as patients feel very informed and comfortable. Unfortunately his ill inform front office staff did not make the correct appointment or probably even listen to the patient we were not there for lasik. Anyways I was pleased with dr so I will purchase new pairs of glasses anyways. Now it all goes downhill I was done with my appointment but son and husband were not Dr. instructed me to go browes glassware. As i walked to the front office my daughter was visibly upset. She grabbed me and whispered to me that his ineptitude staff proceeded to laugh and speak ill of my husband who stumbled and fell into his chair while i was in exam room. I got up to speak to office manager and she was quite apologetic and said she will handle it. She did and I trusted she would. As i sat waiting one of the gals who is in this photo tried to half hardy apologize. She said she did not see my hubby nor make fun or talk about him. She did say, well we saw his expression (remember she first say she didnt see him). They laughed when he stumbled and said a bad word she could not say. I said what she said he said oh shit.... so i guess she has the mentality of 10 year and couldn't hold in her laughter. So i asked my daughter are you lying to me , she said no i am not. I asked agian and she well yes we did laugh and we did say something but then another patient came in!!! I was just about done when my husband called me to look at new glasses. I couldn't justify spending ALOT OF MONEY mind you name brand frames, contacts, safety glasses, tinted lenses and scratch guards for 3 or more pair. I finally told him what happen and we decided to leave we paid our copays and walked out. They obviously do not care about patient nor purchases we were going to make. The doctor was amazing Unfortunately the front office can ruin his business with how immature they behave. My husband works with a union and we could have referred many new patients but sadly I wouldnt want anyone else to feel the way my family felt. Our family of six had our 2nd appt scheduled with this office. My husband and I both took off work to be at this appointment, and we pulled our four kids out of school early. We arrive and they tell us they're short staffed and overbooked so our appt was canceled without warning. Came to this place in 2017 love the exam and in addition a wellness Exam they provide with a machine that takes an ultrasound picture of your eye. No drops to dilate your eyes if not necessary from the front staff to back and Doctors great service all the way around. Just came in this year for my yearly check up. The information that is provided to get the most of your money with any available rebates is phenomenal. I love the attention to detail they provide. Love the Doctors but I can no longer tolerate the front desk staff. The ladies at the front desk are not friendly and are more concerned with working on the computer or talking with one another than greeting customers. I have been a returning customer for many years, falsely believing things would change. However, the final straw came for me when I checked in to pick up my glasses by signing the sheet on the counter. I waited ten minutes before an employee came out of the back and greeted the next person who just walked through the door, then proceeded to help them. At that point, still no one acknowled my existence in the office, with only one other waiting customer. When I questioned why that person was helped before me to pick up their glasses, I was told I had to wait for the employee to finish with that customer. Furthermore, every time I order glasses or contacts, the typical time I am told for my order to be ready is two weeks. This is sometimes difficult when I need a new glasses prescription, but they have always had trial contacts to hold me over. The worst part of the ordering process is that my family's glasses orders have NEVER been ready on time; nor have I received any communication regarding my late order. I have to call to find out, "they should be coming any day," when, in reality, it takes at least a week longer to receive glasses. We have even gone so far as to call before the expected delivery date to check the progress, and told, "the order will be here when you were told." Yet, the glasses order still did not arrive on time. It has been disappointing every single time. On a positive note, every opthomologist is excellent and they strive to use new technology, which I truly appreciate. Every doctor I've seen has been nice, friendly, thorough, and great with my young kids. They are the only reason this review is three-stars; truly, they deserve six-stars on the five-star scale. However, after years of terrible front desk service and consistent late deliveries, my family have taken our business elsewhere. read more

They said that they do not accept my insurance. The optometrist, in a patronizing manner, said that they'll give me 10% off since it went down like that. My experience with them felt gimmicky and I opted to go elsewhere. I have SUCH a busy schedule, which is why I ask a lot of questions before booking any appointments, so to have that be said to me was very frustrating and inconvenient for the world we live in today. I'm happy to say after visiting Fontana Optometric Group, my vision is now FOGgy! F.O.G. rocks! I visited Dr. Jason Flores and he made me see 20 / 20, no lie. During his intense examination of me, we settled on a prescription that would provide awesome performance for performance motorcycle riding and long hours in front of a computer. The testing machines here are current and clean, and I was really excited when Dr. Flores showed me imaging of the inside of my eye. Very cool! Frame selection was honestly a little daunting, but the smiley Indian dude made the process a breeze. I finalized my selection to 8 sets of frames, and he gave me honest feedback which I appreciate. Check-in, initial testing, exam and frame selection were all super smooth and staff all around were extremely professional and friendly. read more

I contacted Fontana Optometric Group to see if they could help me with an additional pair of contacts. Although there were no available appointments, the front desk receptionist was able to get me in to see Dr. Leo. In no time at all, they were able to assist me. Hands down the best eye care center I ever went too. Which by the way is a long time, I have been wearing glasses since 2nd grade. Dr Leo took his time with me, listened to my issues, and even doubled check to make sure everything was accurate. As a new patient, I was able to complete my profile online. The wait was minimal. With my eye exam they took X-rays of my eyes. Yah! No more dilation. The optometric center has many options (of glasses)to choose from. I have a high prescription and the optician told showed me a way to get my computer glasses for 1/3 the cost. I Got the lenses for free. Great friendly service. Would definitely recommend. read more

I've been a contact wearer for 56 years..... Two weeks ago was introduced to a new contact. "Scleral Contact Lens". Been wearing about 9 days now. I believe I can be the poster person for this contact. I have only one eye vision and that eye is extremely hard to fit. This contact does NOT touch the eye itself, but has a lubricate between eye and lens. I can wear many hours with no problem. My vision in this eye has never been better. I cannot recommend this place enough. I haven't seen an optometrist since before COVID and was worried my vision had changed dramatically. The staff was amazing. They checked my coverage and even my current glasses prescription. The doctor was great and answered all my questions I had regarding screen use and prescription changes over time. My favorite part, of course, was choosing new glasses. Dennise was absolutely wonderful!!!! She was extremely thorough and double checked my coverage and explained what was included and what wasn't. She was professional while being down to earth and truly made my experience enjoyable. She made the daunting task of picking out glasses and sunglasses fun. She helped pull out glasses that fit my style and budget (she also saved me from explaining to my husband why i needed Gucci or Tom Ford glasses). The only reason they are getting 2 stars is because the contacts are awesome! I have a Astigmatism ( sucks) there is only 1 company that sells colored contacts for anyone with that conduction. This is my second year going with This optometric group but next year I'll be going with someone else. I order 4 boxes of contacts which is a total of 588$ I said FIVE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY EIGHT DOLL-HAIRS that's a lotta moolah just to see . I was so excited I didn't realize there was nothing else in the box .... now I'm aware no company is required to tell you thank you or send you free gifts ....but I'm also aware that costumer service and appreciated repeated business used to matter even if you are not actually in person. Seriously I just dropped $588 and no free contact cases or fluid on 4 packs of contacts that's just sad. I'll be getting my contacts elsewhere. read more

Definitely have to recommend Dr Leo! He is the only optometrist who recommend for me to wear a mono soft disposable contact lenses. He listened and helped to see the world in another level. He actually helped me to decide on getting Lasik done mono-vision. As for the other staffs, good with a sincere friendly smile and acknowledge every customers.
