Both Dr. Abo's are good with patients and genuinely show that they care in addition to taking the time to explain things. My gripe with this place is not at all the service, but rather the significant price gouging that takes place with their frames. If you are looking for Ray Ban Meta's then do yourself a favor and DO NOT GO HERE! Their "office" price is practically double the retail price. I was quoted $794 for a pair when Walmart sells the same pair for $409!!! If you are looking for Ray Ban Metas then I highly advise you to go to Walmart where they charge you the actual price and not a ridiculous mark up. read more

Worst customer service after purchasing, what turned out to be, cheaply constructed glasses for my son. First time he got them they broke within the first 2 days. It was my very first time coming here and the very last time! I walked in here because I just so happen to be in the area charging my car at the Tesla charging stations when I walked in the receptionist proceeded to tell me that all the optometrist were out on lunch there was a women with scrunched hair and dark red/burgundy lipstick just gave me a weird look, but I brushed it off . The receptionist asked me if I wanted to schedule an appointment and I told her it would depend on the time and I asked her what time they would be back. She helped me with what my insurance covered and what not and She gave me a time range when to come back so I said OK she told me I was able to go look around if I wanted you to see if there was anything that I like so I can talk to them when I come back later. So I did so. She had told me my insurance gave us a little more extra cushioning cost on certain brand so I went to one of the brands first, I was looking at ALL of them and I proceeded to make my way over down to the other glasses. Long and behold the minute I get to the namebrand ones the same lady with the hair came running out and just stood there and stared at me. It was very uncomfortable so I asked her if she needed to get to where I was looking, she began to stutter and said "no I was just coming to help you if you needed help I thought you were just looking, "I began to look at her and I told her I am just looking like I said I was going to come back later, but I'm checking to see if anything is in my price range or what I want for when I come back she didn't say anything and became to fix things that didn't need to be fix as well as just standing there staring at me. She made it so uncomfortable cause I totally felt like she was stereotyping me from the minute I walked in... I walked out I didn't even finish looking I had my one year old son with me in a stroller and I went to the door and she just stood there and watched me struggle to get out with the stroller as I was trying to leave. I have never been made to feel like I don't belong somewhere other than here. This place is up the street from my house this could have been my home optometrist, but hell no I won't ever be coming back here. They lost my business I will be contacting my insurance as well and letting them know about my short but extremely uncomfortable experience here! Update to my previous post it wasn't a situation to where they opened up the case for me I was looking outside, not touching anything pushing a stroller looking, I would understand if they had to unlock a case and stand there and wait, but that wasn't the situation at hand not only that the lady was rude. read more

I'll be honest, I usually review a business when things go bad. In this instance, I am compelled to do so because of just how competent and kindly I was treated. When I entered, I felt like I was their most important customer in the world. They are so friendly and professional. The wait to see the optometrist was under 5 minutes both times, but when I entered the examination area, things only got better. I'm not a doctor nor do I claim to know much about optometry, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know they are using state of the art well maintained equipment. Yet it only gets better once you meet the optometrist. The lady who helped me probably was the rocket scientist equivalent of an optometrist complete with a kind and professional demeanor. Trust me, she is NOT working there just to get a paycheck. She genuinely cares about her patients, and I'm going to do my best to articulate just how much she cares. So, I had lasik surgery at a place I will leave anonymous (no place affiliated with Summit), and had a rather unfortunate experience that led to a dramatic loss of vision in my left eye. The optometrist spent a great deal of time above and beyond the normal time allotted for this type of examination to determine what could be happening; instead of just fitting me with glasses and quickly sending me on my way, she told me what her concerns were with great detail and compassion, giving me some insights to what could be the problem; advising that I should see a specialist. The specialist was also amazing which shows that you can trust their referrals. The specialist with all their specialized equipment confirmed what the optometrist told me; advising me of the need for a surgical procedure. In the meantime, I went back to Summit to get a temporary prescription to correct my vision. The same optometrist, yet again, went above and beyond the normally allotted time; going over all my options dissuading me from spending needless amounts of money on expensive contacts and lenses at this time and just picking up a cheap pair of magnifying glasses you can pick up at almost any retailer; until my eye surgery. She told me that the visit was FREE! The bottom line is that this place is staffed by friendly, professional and knowledgeable people using state of the art well maintained equipment who are not just out to make a quick buck! After my surgery is completed, you better believe, I will be going back for a reexamination. Unfortunately, there are many businesses that look for the quick buck not realizing that a life time customer will bring in more profit and good will. This business is NOT one of them. I decided to book and wait since I felt that it had to be great optometrist based on wait and insurance coverage as well. I am so glad that I waited and went to my 1st appointment. Visited this store just for lens and frames (I have my own optometrists for eye exams). The reviews were positive and my experience match what others have said! They were quick and very accommodating. I had an issue with my FSA card and so I wasn't able to move forward with my purchase during my visit. We did all the paperwork and, a few days later (once the FSA fiasco was all figured out), I called and made the payment over the phone. They estimated my glasses would arrive within 2 weeks but both pairs were there within one week! So happy and will definitely go back next year. Note--if you have a big head like me, you're in luck! So today I go into Summit Optometric Center in Fontana to pick up my glasses. Now the place in itself is nice. Their customer service is very nice and the doctor is very sweet. He takes his time to understand your eyes and don't try to sell you the extra. So anyways I went in to pick up my glasses and I try them on their and all I see is glare. Now I mentioned is the extra glare I see normal? Because I'm sure I purchased the non glare. And she told me. Well you must have not paid for it. I said well then why would I waist my money and buy glasses and all I see is glare? She looks up my file and was like oh well they didn't put the film on so I would have to send them back. So now I'm mad, I mean I wasn't rude and I know isn't not their fault but damn. Now I have to wait another week or two because who ever they deal with done messed up!!! I AM NOT A HAPPY CAMPER !!!!! Update***** I received a call the next morning and they were sincerely apologetic for what had occurred. The lab that they sent my glasses to offered me a great deal on a second pair of lenses and the office offered me a great deal on another set of frames. My first time attending this office and it was a pleasure! Awesome staff greeting you and helping you out in the front office. The doctor was amazing, very thorough, and great at explaining what she was doing as it happened. You can tell she loves what she does. Also, to my surprise my prescription glasses were ready for pick up in just a few days and as a long time glasses wearer I know they can take up to several weeks to be ready. My most favorite doctors office to visit (no sarcasm). The amount of hospitality this office puts in for your comfort is absolutely stellar. I've been visiting for several years and I must say, I don't trust anyone with my problematic eyeballs except doctor Lauren. When I say problematic, I MEAN problematic. I got allergies like there is no tomorrow, my eyes swell when it feels like it wants to mess with my day, I have chronic dry eyes, basically I'm a mess. Doctor Lauren was the first eye doctor that takes the time and addresses all the issues that I have with my eyes. She explains everything in detail so you understand exactly what is going on. That being said, doctor Lauren will try to do anything in her power to fix your eye problem. She is extremely thorough during your exam and makes sure your prescription is comfortable for you. The opticians up front are amazing as well! Like the doctors, they will do all they can to help you understand what you are getting. Type of lenses, what coatings, recommendations, savings and rebates when available, they will go through it all! They make sure that you are comfortable with your glasses and/or contacts and if they're not, they will try to adjust whatever is necessary to make it more comfortable. I am incredibly impressed with the level of service in this office. This was my firs time coming here based on my wife's recommendation. Admittedly, its been a very long time since I've gone to the eye doctor; the last time being nearly 10+ years ago that I can recall. And at that time I had been going to the same Optometrist my entire life. I am a huge creature of habit, so to simply change doctors like that and try someone new who doesn't know me was a tough jump for me to make. I couldn't have been happier with the result. The entire experience was great from beginning to end. I was able to schedule an appointment online at my convenience. I received text message updates to confirm my appointments. The office staff are friendly and helpful. The office is modern, CLEAN and well organized. Dr. Lauren was great! Her "bedside manner" is very welcoming and she never makes you feel uncomfortable or like you're being interrogated or judged (like when you tell her its been 10+ years since you've been to an optometrist.) I received a follow up email to complete a survey based on my experience. In that survey I posed a question regarding a co-pay I made (I misunderstood my own insurance). Anyhow... I received a phone call in less than an hour explaining the co-pay. Granted, this was my first and only visit to this office... but first impressions are very important to me. My initial appointment was with Dr. Justin and he was great. We spoke at great lengths about lasik eye surgery, because all my previous optometrists kept saying I wasn't a candidate, because my eyesight was still getting worse. Dr. Justin set me up with a referral to a surgery center, because he felt that I was a candidate and that I could benefit, especially because I've been wearing glasses since I was about 7 years old. He was the first optometrist who let me know that lasik is, in fact, an option for me. I just went back today to do my preop stuff for surgery next week. I saw Dr. Lauren, and she's just as amazing as Dr. Justin. She found something on my eye that may or may not delay my, surgery... But I feel like I'm in good hands, however which way this turns out. Dr. Lauren is going above and beyond this matter, and I'm absolutely certain that my vision is in good hands with both Dr. Justin and Dr. Lauren. I'm very glad that I chose them, and I look forward to seeing both of them for all my eye care needs. read more

Went here for the first time last Wednesday. I had a 9:30 appointment. They called once prior and texted a reminder- very good for my forgetful brain! I was running about 5 mins late for my appointment...I called and told them- the lady on the phone was very nice and told me thank you for letting them know I would be a few minutes late. Very sweet. When I got there they took me straight back, paperwork would be finished after. My appointment went smoothly and everyone was great. The doctor was very thorough in his exam and gave me some new contacts to try. I'll be back in two weeks to see how my new lenses are doing. I highly recommend this doctor!! read more
