Standard room ( includes daily cleaning and turn down service)

Beautiful modern property. The staff is multi-lingual ( for us lazy Americans). The check in process was easy and were quickly greeted by the bell hop. Our rate included breakfast. It was a great variety and included champagne. The bar and restaurant staff are outstanding. They open at 0730 but let us in 19 minutes early to accommodate our schedule. Marco was great in the bar and creates the best craft cocktails!!! Our only problem was the heat wave, which this country is not accustomed to, so be ready for struggling AC (hotel , cats, subways, etc.) This is worth the stay for a 5 star experience!

Absolutely stellar hotel. Rooms are very nice, very clean and in great condition. Hotel staff are some off the frienddliest people we've met while here. The breakfast is out of this world good Highly recommend staying here!

This is a part of the Marriott Autograph collection. Absolute boutique hotel that's rather chic & swanky...not recommended for traveling with children, as I did. My son said "this place is not kid friendly". Having said that, it's a fantastic location near all luxury shopping & not far from major sites & in the middle of everything. The accommodations are nice, very unique & contemporary. The staff is very attentive & willing to share their ideas on what to do & where to go. I'd recommend this place for couples, but not for families, or single parent with a child.

For me, it's not my style. If you're a tourist, this is more about supporting locals. Nothing historic, just lots of cool art. If you're local, I imagine this is the place to get cool unique things. The one thing that's really pretty to see here is the bookstore. Other than that if visiting from another country, I would find other things to see.

I came on a weekend so there were tents set up by artists and vendors in a large area which made the day even more interesting. It feels a little to me like a condensed version of the Arts District in LA. It is very busy on the weekend, but worth it to navigate just so you can see all the tents of vendors. There are vintage shops, ceramic shops, cool clothing shops - so many spots to find great gifts and be inspired. It feel industrial/warehouse-y which makes the vibe feel so much more interesting. We ate at Chickinho (pronounced chickeen-yo) because I really was craving some grilled chicken with piri piri oil. This spot specializes in chicken, especially grilled chicken with piri piri. We ordered the whole chicken, got a deliciious red cabbage coleslaw, and some wedge potato fries and a tomato/cucumber/onion salad. Everything was just so fresh and tasty. The piri piri oil was already at the bottom of the dish that the chicken came on so we just kept dipping the pieces of chicken in there and wow was it addicting. I couldn't stop thinking about this meal for a couple of days and really wanted to go back again, but we opted to try another spot that was well known for their piri piri chicken. I have to say overall, I still enjoyed Chickinho the most because of the sides and how well they seasoned and cooked the chicken. And I really liked their piri piri oil.

They sent us pictures of our setup and were very responsive. When we got there we found our table was a little too much in the sun and they were super nice about letting us move slightly to be in the shade. They also were able to close the slats on the patio roof cover to let less sun in. There were a couple kids menu items, I just remember the spaghetti and the kids enjoyed that. Cheese and meat platter - 4 stars Tempura green beans - 3.5 stars Zucchini pesto fettuccine - 4 stars. A bit al dente but the sauce was great. Sweet sour cod - 4.5 stars. Perfectly cooked and meat easily coming apart. Sur and turf - 4.5 stars. Beef super tender and tasty. Asked for medium rare but had to send it back was a little too rare, then it was perfect. It's a 25-step climb from the front door to the lobby/office. It's another 25-step step climb from the lobby/office to the one person/luggage elevator that only goes from floor "one" to floor "four" with no stops in between, and which was out of service during our two-night stay. So, I counted about 150 steps up to the roof, a little less to our room on the fifth floor. The rooftop bar offers a 20% discount to hotel guests, but only on food, not on alcohol. The complimentary breakfast is served up there from 730am to 1000am. Fruits, meats, eggs, cheese, pastries, coffee and juice. Good stuff. Upon check in, the staff helped us get out luggage up to 5th floor room. Room was clean and spacious, as was the bathroom. A/C worked well. We had an early flight and asked for assistance getting our luggage down as a taxi was picking us up at 630am the following morning. We were told the staff doesn't show up until 700am. (I found it odd that there is no staff overnight after the rooftop bar closes. What happens if a pipe bursts or something of that nature? Very strange). Anyway, the manager said he would show up at 620am to assist with our luggage. And he did show up at 620am. Also gave us a to go breakfast of juice, fruit and a meat and cheese sandwich to nosh on at the airport. Nice hotel, but not very accessible if you are old, frail or differently abled. The stairs. The stairs.
