He set ours down, delivered one drink to the table next to us, and then stopped to take another table's order--all while leaving two iced teas sitting on his tray that belonged to another guest. I watched that guest eventually get up, take the drinks off the tray, and bring them back to their own table. So it wasn't just our table that experienced a lack of attention. In situations like this, it's okay to ask for help. A food runner or a shift leader could have stepped in to help keep guests taken care of. By the time we left, our table still had six glasses and three empty plates sitting on it. There had been no pre-busing throughout the meal.
