Warning!!! Always ask for your receipt at this place of business. On 3/28/24 I was overcharged by $50 for a bag of chips. Because I did not get a receipt for the transaction I have been unable to dispute with my bank. My daughter used apple pay on her phone and there was $50 added to the total. Beware of these thieves! I don't know why people feel it is ok to steal people's hard earned money. A bag of chips for $55.69! Tried to call the number posted here and it is out of order. read more

We frequent this place often mostly for milk. Was there yesterday morning, bought 3 gallons of 2%. The guy says that'll be $15. I give him my CC and he asks if I want a receipt, I say no. Today I happen to be looking at my bank statement and see he charged my card $15.75. Okay 75 cents isn't a big deal, still ask for a receipt and check it before leaving. read more

I didn't know that this place is close to my house. I've been coming to this place for the past 2-3 months and the price is good. I got the whole milk and it's delicious. I like the price also. Right now I'm purchasing the whole gallon because the price is very good. This place also sells other items such as ice cream, eggs, beer...etc. The only thing that they do not have is "Heavy Cream". They have whipping cream but why not whipped cream. read more

When I was a kid, my family ate a lot of popsicles. I didn't really think it was odd until I saw the faces of my swimming-lessons peers when my mom would show up with a plain cardboard box full of two-stick popsicles. To me, it was the norm; people just ate popsicles that came in plain cardboard boxes. But then, I also thought it was the norm to go to the local drive-through dairy. That's right, the local drive-through dairy. There used to be a bunch of them in Southern California, or at least I remember going to a bunch of them with my mom. But do you know why it was called a drive-through? Well, because you actually got to drive through the building, as in there was an opening in it that you drove through. I'm not making this up, although I'm not sure whether this Rockview Dairy is of the original A-frame drive-through variety. So we would come here for generic popsicles and fudgesicles and Big Sticks and push pops. We also often bought our milk here. From what I remember, when you pulled up to the line, someone would write down your order and bring it to you. They also carry other non-dairy grocery items, but they specialize in all things dairy. Now that I'm writing this review, I really want to visit this place again. I also just read a little bit about Rockview Dairies, which is locally owned and doesn't use growth hormones in its cows, two features that make it unique. Living in Northern California now, I miss a lot of the local Southern California dairies and other brands that are hard or impossible to find in San Francisco. Support this Rockview Dairy if you live in the area, and visit the website (http://www.rockviewfarms.com) to get home-delivery of milk. That's right; apparently, there are still milkmen. read more

Wish I would have known about this place before the whole Covid virus. Due to i couldn't find eggs, milk and bread I was driving around whittier and located Rockview Dairy. Rockview dairy is a lifesaver forsure, i was worried I wouldn't have any chance finding these items for my kids but Rockview sure had them and couldn't complain about the pricing. I too used to visit this place as a kid. Reading the review by John reminded me of carboard boxes full of popsicles! My grandma was a fan, however, of the chocolate-covered vanilla ice cream bars. Not only did my grandma and I drive through this place on a regular basis, but my friend's older brothers always worked here. It has such great memories! I always thought that dairies like this were common. I am 22 and just realizing now that this type of drive-thru dairy is alien to most people! I'll just consider myself lucky! So, why so much excitement over a dairy? There's something about it that is quaint, friendly and for me, nostalgic. For Los Angeles County, something like this is a rare find. Love this place! Super convenient and great customer service. They surprisingly have a lot of different products... from bathroom cleaner to ice cold IPA's, Thrifty's ice cream to ice cold Capri suns for your son's entire baseball team (when you forget that you have snack duty). We used to frequent this drive through dairy a couple times a week. It was very convenient and worth the higher prices than traditional stores. Convenience is no longer worth it after the owner told my husband, who asked how he was doing, "I'd be better if people like you didn't come here." Extremely rude and completely uncalled for. But I guess he will better now since we will not be back! read more
