Welcome to a new day fellow foodies. Today I stopped at Uncle Bucks BBQ in Plymouth Pennsylvania. Now I have been here a few years back, but I wanted to make my return. Today I am trying their Rib Combo which came with a small side of smoked ribs, chicken, brisket, and pulled pork with a side of their signature sauce. You also got two sides of choice, mine was the fire roasted corn and Cole slaw. For an appetizer I ordered their stuffed mushrooms. The mushrooms had crab meat, drizzled butter with mozzarella cheese. These were fantastic, have not had these in years, very delicious. Now to some up my meats, very tender, the pulled pork was not dry, it was very tender and juicy, that's without the sauce. The brisket was cut nice and thin, again very tender along with the chicken and ribs. Overall, I was very pleased with how everything tasted, along with the service, very professional and will be back. Recently visited with my hubby on wing night. We ordered wings and a cheesesteak stromboli. Both were very tasty, but my husband LOVED the stromboli! He was full but couldn't stop eating it lol. We did end up taking some home, but I don't think it lasted the night haha! Service was super attentive; it seemed like everyone who walked by checked in on us. We loved the laid-back atmosphere and the 80s music! We'll definitely be back! read more

Terrible business! This is my first time leaving a review for a place I didn't event actually get to try. I had plans with friends, we looked at the menu and picked out everything we wanted, then called for hours just to have an automated message tell me I was being sent to voicemail but the voicemail was full. I looked them up on Facebook, saw that they had posted specials for the day, then sent a message through FB. They got back to me hours later saying they were too busy in house and couldn't handle dine in AND takeout. so they basically just refused calls the entire evening. I've worked in the service industry for years, at multiple places and have a lot of friends that have as well...I've never heard of anyone doing this but it seems like a horrible way to do business and I will probably never even try them now based on this experience. :( read more

We went there and they told us an hour to get our food well an hour passed and people sat down behind us about 20 minutes later they got served before us and they ordered the pagach like us also it took us 45 minutes to get our soup we will never go there again read more

I had to to throw my daughters 17th bday party together at the last minute as my Father-in-law unexpectedly, was Hospitalized. I was at my end when Uncle Bucks showed up in a search and literally was an unexpected gift!! I knew nothing about this restaurant, but I threw caution to the wind.. and damn I'm glad I did! I called and within 40 minutes I had a plethora of food, that they carried to the car, and I met the nicest people. And I will tell you.. it smelled soo amazing in there! And then we headed to feed the awaiting Fam Squad who were ravenous. I ordered Ribs Omg, fell off the bone, meaty, delicious. Pulled pork (my husband said it was the best he has ever had!) Brisket this is my brother's jam.. u couldn't pick it up it was soo tender it fell apart! And the BBQ sauce .. yum! And the wings .. I normally order crispy (I didn't this time .. and they were done perfectly! And my 10 year old niece thought the coleslaw rocked . The hungry squad had nothing but rave reviews and were asking where is this place??? And we are doing this again!! Great feel good food. It's a go to when we want smoked or bbq. Their homemade sauces are great. Their hot bbq sauce is far above the other. I would recommend the build your own burger or literally everything smoked or bbq. The pork slop fries are pretty good to get on occasion. They become too much after a while, so share with friends. I've gotten a few things that were underwhelming. The kielbasa for one, and some of the dinners are better off just getting as a sandwich version of that dinner. Some of the people who work there don't have people skills and come off as intense or rude. read more

Read multiple reviews on poor customer service at Uncle Bucks - and those reviews are correct. Was going to be our first time trying take out - I called literally seven minutes before their scheduled opening. Was told I had to call back. Wasn't like I was looking for a pick up right when they opened. Too much I guess to jot down the order. If you don't want to talk to customers - don't answer the phone. Way too much effort to be a customer at Uncle Buck's - too many other good choices in the area. read more

Ordered the chicken dinner but it was chicken thighs. No breast. I am use dto bbq places having quarter pieces of chicken. The pulled pork sandwich was delicious and the pulled porknsub with bacon was good too. The sandwich came with a choice of sides, but the sub only came with plain chips and a pickle. Got the quarter top chicken dinner and brisket dinner. Chicken breast was smokey and moist, brisket was perfectly cooked and flavored. My ONLY complaint is that the brisket was sliced too thin, something that I can easily correct on my next visit by asking for a thick cut. All of the sides were excellent. I start first by saying that if I could give this less than 1 star that I would. We came for a dinner and end up waiting for over 50 minutes for our appetizers. Then another hour went by and no entrees. We finally got fed up and said to just box it up and we will take it home. We went to the take out window and the gentleman said we must have a waitress problem. I have ate here several times and the service has always been in the slower side however not to the point that we have no received our order. Love this place, I'm glad it's not near my home, or I'd spend all my time here. Very cool atmosphere, and great BBQ. I had the brisket dinner with a salad and baked beans. The brisket was nothing short of fantastic! I have a Big Green Egg at home, so I actually don't eat much BBQ out anymore. Brisket is just so hard to get right that I don't do it at home much. Uncle Buck's does it RIGHT! Generous portion of perfectly cooked brisket. I can't wait to be passing through town again, I'll make sure it is around mealtime so I can come back again. Awesome food, great atmosphere and staff. My mom and I stopped on our way to another place to eat. The restaurant was very warm and inviting. The staff had no problems with me nursing my son at the table and actually complimented how healthy he looked. I loved it. We ordered the Thai pork nibs which were really good aside from a few extra fatty pieces. I had a burger which was cooked just right. After being disappointed that they were out if ribs, my mom ordered a cheese steak which she really enjoyed. We were very kindly informed that they never run short on ribs however they had a complication with their delivery truck that day. This is a great place to take children as there is plenty of space and very nice people. I'll definitely be dinning again! read more

I've only been here a few times but their BBQ is great. I've eaten in and also gotten takeout; no problems with either. I'm a big rib connoisseur and I think their ribs beat Smokey Bones by a mile. Their fries and kielbasa are also to die for. Do recommend! read more

First time visitor, and ordered take out. Had high hopes for the food because of the reviews. 2-stars stems mostly from the service experience.. I called ahead for take out, they said it would be ready in about 30 minutes. I arrived 30 minutes later and was greeted by employee with a mouthful of food and remnants of food on their face. They were having trouble with CC machine, so it took a long time to process my payment, and yet food was still not ready. About 10 minutes after I arrived, they informed me they had no chili for my order, so they refunded me for that, but still waiting for the rest of the order. When they finally said it was all ready, I reviewed the order and noticed a missing item, which turned out they forgot to put on the order, despite reading it back to me properly over the phone. At this point it had been 50 minutes since I called in my initial order. They prepared the missing item and I was on my way.. Total time from phoning in, to leaving with food - 65 minutes. Got home and realized that my Feed Bag Burger (hamburger with pulled pork and bacon) had no pulled pork on it and the burger was well-done when I asked for it medium. Was also surprised by the method of the Italian sausage sub.. It is made with ground sausage instead of a link, so not really what was expecting, but it's their method I suppose. Quesadilla and stuffed mushrooms were pretty good and the burger was seasoned well, even though it was overcooked for my taste and was missing the pork. I haven't decided yet whether or not I will return, but first impression was not the best. read more

This is most likely the best smoked bbq in the valley. The servers were super friendly. I tried the chicken, brisket and pulled pork. Sauce is on the side so you can taste the meat. There is no kids menu but if your kids have more advanced tastes they'll find something. Portions were great and the pricing was great. The owner Uncle Buck gave me the tour of his kitchen & showed me the Smoker that he cooks all the incredible Brisket, Pulled Pork, ribs & more just awesome. We ordered takeout tonight. They told us 45 minutes and it was prompt. We got brisket bites, bacon wrapped kielbasa, feed bag burger, another burger, chicken wing with sweet and tangy sauce and gravy fries. Everything was really tasty except the chicken wings. I asked for extra crispy and they weren't even close. They needed 2 more minutes even if I hadn't asked. The sauce was good on the wings! We will definitely go back, the food was good! read more

I went here with a large group and we ordered several things to split with the group. This place has great potential the Barbecue was great, the portions were generous. The brisket is some of the best I've ever had. The Stromboli was amazing and even the salad was delicious. I would have given 5 stars except the Service was very very very very slow and the chicken wings were too over cooked being somewhat dry and tough. The sauces on the wings and flavor were great so if cooked right they would have been great. The atmosphere is also not ideal, a little gloomy and outdated, two people in our group wanted to leave because of the look of the place before we ordered. I hope they fix the service and the wings because I would love to go back for the food, I can put up with the environment. read more

We ate here several months ago and thought the food was just OK. We decided to give it one more try today and met our kids there for lunch. They supposedly open at 11 on Saturday and we got there at 12. There were several cars in the lot. We entered the restaurant and headed toward the dining room. The lights in the corridor to the dining area were turned off. We couldn't see well due to this and the fact that it was a very bright day outside and our eyes hadn't gotten used to the dark. Luckily, my wife noticed that there was a rolled up carper completely blocking the passage into the dining room. If she hadn't warned us, we all would have tripped on it. We found the light switch and turned it on. No one was in the dining room, so we chose a table. We then realized that there was no employee in the dining room or the adjacent kitchen. We called out but no one responded. I went to the bar area and saw 2 customers sitting on bar stools and they were smoking. Bars can be exempted from non-smoking laws in PA, but only if their income from food is less than 20%. This is hard to believe for a bar restaurant. There was no bartender either, so we just left. They obviously didn't want our business. We went elsewhere and had a good meal. We will never return. read more

This place has horrible customer service. I spoke with the owner to ask a question about the current quantity of items and was told that it was limited, and that if they were not busy. That would be able to get my food ready. Also that it would be left over from the day before. Mondays are slow days for business. read more

i wrote a review a few weeks ago and they deleted it .lol so i'll rewrite it and sum it up.. the service sucks and the quantity of food is soo small with the prices being outrageous. 3 slices of brisket and a few fries are $9 plus tax. its a joke. the establishment is so small and cluttered. people are playing darts where you sit. theres 1 waitress who is also a bartender. she doesnt check on you because shes behind the bar so if you need a refill or if something is wrong with the food you have to stand at the bar for 10mins before she gets to you. read more

I ate at this place and found the staff and food absolutely amazing. It was one of the best places I have ever eaten at in the 40+ counties. I love BBQ and this place was just awesome.
