The service and the view are all this place has going for it. If this restaurant was anywhere else on the map, and I mean anywhere, it would be out of business. The manager is arrogant - doesn't typically accept walk in's, especially if you have children; If you do have a reservation, god forbid you wear a t-shirt - that gets you tucked away someplace undesirable. We were told "Google always places the reservations here". I'm supposed to buy you can't seat me in your empty lake front seats because we made our reservations with Google? Really? The food is subpar, which tells me the manager cares more about the "image" than the quality of food leaving the kitchen. I was worried the tuna appetizer was going to give me food poisoning, the steak was rubbery, although cooked to the right temp, and the linguini with clam sauce was more like cacio e pepe than a traditional clam sauce. This is all to say, if you're going to pretend your restaurant is reserved for a certain clientele, you better deliver. I could have had a better meal and experience at some hole in the wall, with far less arrogance. read more

Stopped here after viewing the Christmas Lights at the Stone Hedge golf course. Place was "full" but not packed. They managed to squeeze us in. It was night so we couldn't see anything outside. Service was good and so was the food. A little out of the way for us, but if I was back in the area, would come back. read more

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience warranted it. My family owns three homes at Lake Sheridan--one in the channel and two on what's called the "big" lake. I've driven past this restaurant many times and was looking forward to what was supposed to be my second visit. Upon arrival, we were immediately asked if we had a reservation. We told the person--who appeared to be the manager--that we did not, and were met with a dismissive attitude. We were then seated at a table directly next to the front door--not the worst, but far from ideal. Shortly after, another family walked in without a reservation and was offered a much better table. They were promptly greeted with water and had their drink order taken by the same manager within a couple of minutes. Meanwhile, we were left completely ignored--no water, no greeting, no acknowledgment whatsoever, despite being in the middle of the restaurant and having every staff member walk right past us. After the manager brought the second table their drinks and again walked past us without saying a word, we decided to leave. The service was unacceptable. I'll be advising my family to avoid this place entirely. If a table placed at the heart of your restaurant can be so blatantly overlooked, it raises serious concerns about what else is being neglected. We did call afterward and were offered a complimentary dinner, which I suppose was a nice gesture--but unfortunately, it's too little, too late. We won't be returning. read more

I really wish every restaurant you go to had their standards like this place. Absolutely spotless! Staff was absolutely excellent and friendly. Food was excellent. We had sausage soup, fried pickles and the Cod fish tacos. Bathroom just saying was so clean and even smelled good crazy right but needed to note ! Highly recommended to everyone. Disappointing quality for the price. Dined there several times mainly due to the setting but not so much the fare. Third and final visit, the owner/manager displayed an attitude problem (unrelated to food/service neither of which I complained about). Parking lot is unpaved, cramped with dust being kicked up and blown into the outdoor seating area each time a car enters or leaves. Will never stop again. read more

Place was recommended so we decided to stop. Saturday afternoon. Place was spotless and food was delicious. Service was great. All the staff were so friendly. Chef/ owner even made my 87yr old aunt something that wasn't on the lunch menu! He said everything is made from scratch and it showed. Delightful lakefront atmosphere. The swordfish special was done to perfection and the barbecue nachos were delicious. It was a crowded full house and still quiet enough to Enjoy conversation without speaking loudly. I took my parents from Florida and actually had a horrible over cooked fish taco last time I was there. The manager assured me the next time I can the food would be great. So I brought the parents ordered the "special" surf and turf taco. I could hardly get past the smell but took a bite and spit it out. I would have been sick if I didn't. Lobster should not smell or taste like rotten fish. The server came and took it away. She and the manager said they smelled it and it smelled fishy! They have me a new order of cod tacos which were good. I asked for a glass of wine while I waited to be on the house but they still charged me until I complained about it. Our bill was well over $100 and they did nothing to try to make it right. Who serves tacos that smell like dead fish??? We will never go back!!!!! read more

Went here for dinner the other day. It was just the wife and I and the place was pretty busy. We asked for an outside table and got one. We had just ordered drinks and my aunt and uncle showed up unexpectedly so we asked to add them to our table. The waitress said we would have to move inside because she did not have a table of 4 available for outside. We went inside and spent a few hours eating and drinking. (Linguine and clam sauce was excellent) Very good food and a great selection of drinks. We really loved it. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was that they told us they couldn't accommodate a table of 4 outside but we watched 3 tables on the porch sit empty the entire night. read more

Been here before and it was great. Not going back again. Ordered two food items: Margherita flat bread and California Chicken sandwich. The flat bread that was delivered was loaded with peppers and olives; no cheese, no sauce and no basil. The waitress explained that this was their version of the M flat bread and tried hard to convince us of that. Clearly it resembled the Mediterranean flat bread. She finally took it back, brought out a pizza. A thick slab of chewy dough with tasteless sauce and cheese. No basil. The California chicken sandwich was missing the avocado. The bacon was close to raw and not edible; had to peel it off. People order California sandwiches and Cobb salads because of the avocado, otherwise both would be called something different - like a chicken sandwich and a salad. Very disappointed in this place. If you are up in NEPA in the Endless Mountains area, this is a real gem. Great service, terrific food, and fun cocktails. We LOVED the Barbecue Nachos - far better than what you might expect. It's often hard to find things to eat as a Gluten Free eater, and this place does a great job with labeling GF and accommodating allergy issues. You also get a view of a pretty little lake (and some waterfowl crossing the road). Highly recommended! read more

Excellent! I had NY strip special, the amount of food looked intimidating,i thought there's no way I'd finish it. But i decided to be a pig,bc it was sooo good. My husband had to take his meal home,he simply couldn't eat it all. He ate some for lunch,and the rest for dinner. Also,i had their Mias Mule, and it was ahhhhmazing! Definitely going back there soon. The ambiance of the place so nice,warm,and inviting,and just beautiful, i felt so comfortable. This could be a great place to hang out, but they definitely need to make some improvements. First of all, it's so loud that you can forget about talking to the person across the table from you. They need to install some sound tiles or something. Don't expect to get your food for at least an hour. The wait staff is inexperienced and super slow. Don't order anything "Buffalo" style. What they are serving as blue cheese dressing is definitely not blue cheese. It's a watery, tasteless white sauce of some sort. I've had 2 different dinners that included this stuff, and both times it was awful. Other people have made the same comment, so it's not just me. The first dinner I had was the smoked wings. They were super dry and had just a light brushing of sauce on them. They came with the mystery white stuff. I had the Buffalo chicken flatbread one night, which was supposed to come with gorgonzola. It came without. When I asked the waiter about it, he came back about 10 minutes later with a little bowl of the non-blue cheese dressing. Yuck. I also ordered the Buffalo chicken nachos. While delicious, they were not Buffalo style. It was chicken that I think was smoked. Not sure why they are calling it Buffalo. My friend has had a hamburger that she said was very good. I hope they get the quirks worked out and can make a good go of this business, but with the service and food the way they are now, I can't imagine it's sustainable. read more

Very odd reservation policy....will only take reservations on the day you want to dine there.....so 3 minutes after they open you call to make a reservation and they are booked and are not accepting reservations. So we show up there without a reservation and are seated immediately and quite a few empty tables. Not sure the young man I spoke to Thursday knew what he was doing..........food was good read more

I love using yelp to be able to find hidden gems. On a day trip seeing some PA sights we found this lovely restaurant. Even though there were some limitations they had to deal with due to COVID-19 they made up for it on their hospitality and friendliness. Food was fresh and delicious and exactly what we wanted. Arrived to a semi full parking lot on a Friday evening and was warmly greeted at the door by our hostess. We decided to sit at the bar in lieu of a table. Our bartender was very courteous and we were served quickly. There was a nice variety of draft beers, a few crafts and a few domestics, maybe two imports. The menu is simple but informative. Again, good variety but it seems like barbecue is the chef's specialty. I ordered two meats, brisket and ribs. My girlfriend got the pulled pork panini. The ribs seemed to be dry rubbed and baked served with sweet sauce. The brisket was great, served cubed in the sauce. I ordered a side of macaroni and cheese, which was to die for. Gooey and melty and not mushy pasta. The pulled pork was also great, seemed to be a little heavier on the smoke which is what I prefer. Massive portions is an understatement. Really cozy restaurant with a great view of the lake. Can't wait to come back and drink on the patio! read more

Biggest challenge: service. Food was prompt and hot, but waitress never came back to ask if we wanted another drink of any kind, even water. It wasn't busy the night we were there. It would have been nice to sit outside and enjoy the view but it was raining. All of us got a burger. I don't know why they asked how we would like it cooked because they all seemed the same: charred on the grill the day before (overdone) and then microwaved. The prices are outrageous.
