MY food was great, my husband's lacked flavor. First off they give u warm cornbread which was absolutely delicious. Our server, didn't grt her name, not sure if she's new, but definitely not attentive enough, also didn't come around often, but whatever. I got the ribs(they ask dry or wet, I chose wet) with this blueberry applesauce yummyness and even tastier baked beans. I loved everything I got. My husband got the brisket, which on the menu says smoked for 14hrs,give or take, and it was flavorless, just meat on his plate. Very disappointed. We were so excited to see a new place open in Middletown but unfortunately this restaurant missed all the marks for a good restaurant. The restaurant interior design was probably the best part about it and honestly it is nothing to brag about. We were asked if we wanted complimentary cornbread with honey butter...and we all said yes!! I mean how can you be at a bbq place and not have cornbread. We should have known once we were given the cornbread how the rest of the meal was going to go. Unfortunately, the cornbread was colder and harder than the butter. We didn't want to pass judgement yet so we were still excited about our meal. Again, the restaurant disappointed us by lacking flavor and it being cold as well. I could only have a few bites of my smoked chicken and my husband had the brisket which was also cold and lacking flavor. I didn't even take the rest of my meal home because there was no way to salvage it; however, my husband remained hopeful that he can add flavor to his meal at home. They really failed in all areas of the dining experience and the quality food. They didn't even clear the plates between courses and the restaurant was empty. I would really hate to see this place when there are more than ten people eating. Save yourself time and money, eat at the food court. After a day at the mall, my partner and I went to food and fire because we were in the mood for good barbecue. Unfortunately, we did not receive that. The restaurant was empty when we went there. Service was okay, but not great. We weren't fans of the music that was being played in the restaurant. The food was the main issue and is the reason why we will not return. For our appetizer we ordered the buffalo chicken dip. First off, the chips were stale, which was disappointing. We each ate one chip and sent it back. Additionally, the buffalo chicken dip was topped with barbecue sauce. Who puts barbecue sauce on buffalo chicken dip? My partner ordered the brisket for his entree and I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. we were both disappointed as the meat was dry and lacked flavor. We heard some good things about F&F so Sunday we went ourselves. The restaurant was not at all crowded. Our server came over with menus and paper bags of silverware. She returned about 5-8 minutes later to get our drink orders. At that point she also took our dinner orders. I opted for 2 meats and hubby opted for 3. Our server came back shortly with some cornbread. The cornbread was okay - more cake like. Hubby was very happy with his brisket, chicken and dry rubbed ribs. He LOVED his sides of deviled egg potato salad and coleslaw. My brisket was more like pot roast than brisket. The "wet" ribs were good and the onion rings were very good. The loaded mashed potatoes were a bust. They look like stuffing in the dish but the flavor was not good. We also opted for a side of fried clams. Unfortunately they were fried to oblivion. The food is good depending on what you order, service is mediocre and the decor is okay. With so many great BBQ restaurants in Orange County, this place needs to step up a bit. read more

Never again! I went there a few days ago. They charged $10 for basic nachos and tried to charge an additional $5 for meat. Obviously spending $15 on a small plate of nachos is insultingly absurd. For that $10 price, they should include some basic meat and then give the customer a choice of upgrading it. Then they had the nerve to charge almost $4 for a cup of Pepsi! For that basic meal that instead of costed about $14 in total, including tip, ended costing $18! Then the greeter/server/manager (?) was very inattentive. When I was paying for my meal, the person I was with pointed out that we had to scan a QR code in order to pay, meaning if I didn't have Apple Pay I would've had to have them pay for me. The saddest part was that the nachos tasted better after just going in the microwave for 30 seconds, than they did at the restaurant! After much waiting for this place to open I finally got to try it out. I've tried many BBQ places from the the east coast to the west coast and down south so I'm pretty thorough with reviews on bbq places. I started with a Smokey old fashioned which wasn't the best yet it wasn't the worst old fashioned I had a little Forward on the bitters but ok. Appetizer wise we started with the smokehouse nachos.Which apparently come with jalepenos but they were "out of jalepños" so there's quite a few items on appetizers alone that come with jalepeños so I wonder how those items are minus them. The nachos were extremely cold as in the cheese sauce that was on it. The beans pretty flavorless, the salsa was on not much flavor the best part was the onion jam and it wasn't really cohesive with the rest of the dish seemed out of place. We sent it back it was so cold. It came back and it just seemed like heated up cheese was added. So no go on the first food item. As for appetizers they also give a small portion of corn bread with honey butter. The honey butter was ok and the corn bread was decent but yet again a temperature of a food can change it the corn bread was cold if it was nice and warm I'd have a lot more nice things to say about it. Moving on to the entrees. My wife order a cheese burger and fries she's a simple human. The burger was very dry and unappealing, the fries were bland and again cold. Now my entree being at a BBQ joint I went with BBQ, they were out of ribs so I ordered brisket and pulled pork. The pulled pork was about as dry as I've seen pulled pork, and quite flavorless the bbq sauce options on the table were all delicious but even the sauce could not save the pulled pork. I'll leave the brisket for last. Let's talk about the sides I ordered onion rings and there smoked Gouda Mac and cheese which came out at room temperature. The Mac cheese was decent nothing special the best part of the dish was the onion rings which were fresh but didn't seemed homemade. Now let's talk about brisket. I'm a brisket purest brisket should not rely on sauce to save it the beef flavor should stand on its own with minimal Seasonings to bring it to the next level. Very Texas style. The brisket was literally flavorless, and when u think bbq brisket you think tenderness that pull apart feel and the fat the melts in your mouth. This brisket had fat that was inedible, and the brisket had no tenderness. Just a dry slab of meat. As for service our server was good I can never knock a waiter/ or waitress for the quality of the food. Now the chef must've gotten word of the look of disappointment in my face and came out to speak with us on ways to improve which I greatly appreciate he also offered a discount. The customer service is what saved this review from Being one star to be honest. As for the ambiance nice decor and decent amount of seating. I believe this place can be so much more. I hope they can change it around and I can give another review with much better results. read more

Loved it. My family and I were completely satisfied. From the food to the service I can't complain. The kids loved the food and I can't wait for the food coma in the car. The servings are HEALTHY. Heavy portions that will make you take some food home. Our server was awesome and she was so accommodating and so kind and informative. I can't wait to take family and friends here one day. Kids eat free on Tuesdays so that's a plus already! Very family friendly feel and at 5pm on a Tuesday I can't complain. We were even asked if we wanted a table or booth. The meat did come off the bone pretty easily but it was not real tasty. The chicken I got seemed like a breast but was disgusting. The type of chicken that sort of melts while you eat it and sticks to every part of your mouth. I almost gagged on it trying to spit it out. Very hard to even wash it out with water. The first thing I want to say is I'd give our service 5 stars. The food is what made it 3 stars. We came here for my wife's birthday. There were 8 of us, and we wanted to try something new. Paula was our waitress and she was such a good waitress. She was friendly and attentive. Honestly, she was the best part of the dinner. We all ordered alcoholic drinks. They had a bunch of specials that were very good, including the sour cherry mojito and the equilibrium string theory. We ordered 3 appetizers, which were fried pickles, smokehouse loaded tots, and the stuffed jalapeños. I was surprised how very small the portions were for an appetizer, but all tasted very good. The jalapeños smoke bombs are very spicy, by the way. I ordered the 2 meat taster and got ribs and brisket. Most of the table got a variety of the meats that they offer. The 2 burgers that were ordered for the table came out perfect and hot. But all our smoked meats were cold. From the brisket to chicken to ribs and pork, it was slightly warm at best. The ribs, in my opinion, were very well seasoned, and I got them wet, I was very happy with the taste. All of our sides, though, we're nice and hot. The Mac and cheese is very good, along with the loaded mash potatoes. The deviled potatoe salad seemed that they were barely cooked, though. It's got a nice big bar in here with tvs and a patio for the summertime where you can play corn hole and hang out. As I started off, we were disappointed with some of the meals not being hot, but our waitress was top-notch. The kitchen is failing this place because the food is actually good. Everywhere online it says this establishment closes at 10pm on Saturday. The only day it closes before 9 is on Sunday per a google search. But when in I walked in at 8:11pm tonight (Saturday) to place a to go order I was told,. "Sorry hun the kitchen said no." Before that I asked the hostess what time they closed. She said,"We stop seating at 8:00 so that we can get out of here at a good time." Umm ok. If they have winter hours and the times online are not accurate then the staff needs to say that or it should be listed. So I ordered through Uber eats, knowing that can compromise a steak. No big deal. The steak came to me cold, I expected that, and it had potential. Then I look in the bag for my "sides" the 2 sides they offer with the "16oz" Ribeye were smaller than my hands, and I am a petite woman, I wear kid sized gloves. I ordered the mac and cheese and loaded mashed potatoes to go alone with the ribeye. Both were awful, so I guess it doesn't matter that they came in a condiment container. I didn't get the cornbread that they offer when dining in. They definitely take advantage of online orders, so to me- that's just crappy- I'll never do business with them again. I spent $70 on this meal for ONE, for myself as a treat BTW. They should be ashamed of themselves. Also, there were stray pickles in the container that my ribeye was in (I paid extra for the "creamy" bleu cheese "sauce" and also extra for sautéed onions and mushrooms. Three weeks later we decide to try it again. We placed our order and asked the waitress to make sure the food comes out hot. (last time it was cold) The food was delivered four minutes after we placed our four orders. The food again was stone cold. The waitress said I am sorry and started talking with another employee. The chicken was dry the brisket ( medium) was a big piece of fat with a small sliver of meat that was so tough it would not pull apart. The pulled pork was the best meat on the plate but you only got a teaspoon of it. The plate was basically a big pile of fries. The coleslaw was terrible. It seems no one cares about quality. The smoked chicken was moist but smothered in sauce making the skin flabby and for some reason fatty. Maybe it needed some more time in the smoker or grill. This restaurant is new around. It was a great experience. We stopped by to check it out. The staff was super friendly. Alexa took great care of us. Our food came out pretty quickly and it was super delicious. One of my daughters order a NY strip steak that was so juicy and delicious. My other daughter ordered the Mac Daddy burger she loved it. My son had chicken tenders and fries and he ate all up whiche he never does. My youngest daughter had cheeseburger and she devoured it. My wife had a BBQ cuban sandwich that was great to. I had the brisket which was very good also. The price was surprisingly affordable for the amount of food and drinks we had. We will definitely go back very soon. read more
