Great fun place and has plenty of parking which is always a plus . The vibe and the people in this place are so positive and fun , the only issue we had was the bar . I don't believe that they had 2 bartenders for a huge bar on NYE. So either get more people or get people who actually wanna work and move at a decent speed . EVERY SINGLE PERSON at that bar as complaining about how long it took them to get a drink . That's a bit ridiculous , 20 minutes waiting to get a drink is a bit much . I was invited by a friend who lives in the area to visit resorts World Hudson Valley while I was in area and I agreed we should go. I wanted to see what this place is all about. When we first walked in, I thought ok, this looks promising. The place is small but laid out well and seemed to be very inviting. I did notice that while there's not a lot of machines, I enjoy playing, there were a few, including buffalo stampede, which I like. This is where my whole perception of this place did a 180-degree turn. THIS IS NOT A CASINO!!!, This place is nothing more than a Video lottery terminal parlor and should be advertised as such. It's all garbage VLT'S made to look like real slot machines. I put in $100 and right where the money goes into the machine, I notice a sticker that say "New York state lottery". Does anybody who walks in to this place know what they are playing!!! Most people don't understand the difference between a video lottery terminal and real slot machine. Video lottery terminals are controlled by a central computer that generates winning combinations and sends them to the machine, where as a real slot machine contains a random number generator that is constantly calculating combinations within the machine itself. These machines are the same idea as walking into a convince store and buying a scratch off. Within the stack of tickets that are available, there are winners and losers, already predetermined, no random luck. I donated my $100 and told my friend, I will stay and just watch him play. Also, while we were there, every 30 minutes or so, they have announcements for different promotions and to pitch the restaurant and announce any jackpot winners. To me that's very tacky. Hard pass on this place and will never come back again. No Thank you!! This place is is a rip off. Upon entering the security guard was barking like a dog. Another female security guard was making faces behind patrons backs. Very unprofessional. I was there on mothers day and the main bar was packed but only one bartender. The poor girl was calling for help which she never got. Also without telling you they add a 20% tip on everything served. The management is very poor and huddle in the back corner of the restaurant. Beautiful casino looks wise, and the staff from security, bartender, people who walk around to respond to issues with games were all super friendly. My first issue happened right away no cheap plastic clip to hold onto your gaming card. This place does not pay a table games staff, or any stores, or restaurants, nor does it have a hotel ,so I cannot figure that one out. Next, no restaurants or little stores. They do offer for purchase chips, pepperoni & cheese etc You can call a local pizza, or Mexican place and have food delivered so thats the next best thing. The biggest disappointment was no video poker! What casino has no video poker? Poker is a standard and fun casino staple. Im hoping there is some plan to make some improvements to this casino. It has tons of potential but as is - fell short. We did have fun with what Resorts World Hudson Valley had to offer. But this would be a casino we would go to if we were bored ,and needed something to do for the day. Just a slot palor with the tightest slots I've ever seen. They are so tight they won't even advertise what your return would be, at least the ones in Las Vegas tell you they are low at 90%. They seem to be geared for the high rollers as you can't get enough points to get a comp anything. Even a cheap T-shirts or bucket hat. After all a 4X T-shirt is a mighty big advertisement. They don't give comps to restaurants because there aren't any attached to the casino, can't earn enough points to get a comp or discounted room at other Resort World Casino-Hotels. At least I could look forward into earning enough points to stay at a Resorts World in Las Vegas or Manila Philipines but nothing but a cheap $10 coupon to come back once a month which doesn't even cover gas money. The casino is fairly large and inviting. There's all the different ways to part you with your money all while enjoying it. It's a little noisy. All the bells and slot machine sound effects. But, you would expect that in a casino. It adds to the atmosphere. There are hostesses delivering drinks. No need to "Proof" anyone there, I didn't see anyone under 50. Although, it was the middle of the day. I haven't seen so many walkers and wheelchairs since the prosthetics dept in Manhattan. All with name tags, like so many Teslas awaiting delivery. If you're not a gambler; it would be nice if they had staff to let you know how to play some of the games. There are no human dealers to explain. One thing you'll notice, the moment you walk in - they're people all over the place wiping down the machines. A restaurant in the casino would be an added feature. This casino was built in part of the former location of a Bon Ton store in the Newburgh strip Mall that I used to see from the northbound lanes of the NYS Thruway (I 87) as many as three score years ago. It's a one-story building with no food service, but there are places nearby, such as Mc Donald's, Chilito's, Buffalo Wild Wings, Taco Bell, Wendy's, and Perkins. There may also be a food truck outside the casino's front doors at times. It is very easy to get to the casino from Exit 17 of the NYS Thruway. The casino opened at the end of December 2022. Unlike the Resorts World Catskill casino, the Newburgh location operates under the auspices of the NYS Lottery. What this means is that the RW Catskill Rewards Card can not be used at the RW Hudson Valley casino and visa versa. This also might explain why there are no video poker games available. There are electronic table games, and many recent electronic/video slot machines. There is even sports betting available. But video poker, which is available at NYS Racinos like Saratoga, cannot be found. The next time you are playing video poker at a Racino, try throwing away a winning hand. You'll receive a second hand that pays as much, if not more. Yes, don't be afraid to throw away four of a kind; at a NYS Lottery racino your minimum win, if at all, is predetermined. There is a bar at this casino and staff roam the floor asking for drink orders. I didn't check, but I doubt the drinks are free. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Being appreciated as a casino guest only lasts if you go every single day. My red card was upgraded to a gold card. Then the gold card was stripped away when I went to play one day. It was a kin to a public pantsing. I was told I wasn't playing enough to maintain that gold card status (despite dropping some good money into their machines a few days before). Additionally, if a beverage trolley passes you within inches you can't ask for a beverage off of that cart if it's not assigned to your section. read more

Went to see the new casino. Looks very clean and inviting. Security checked my wife's bag and in we went. I could have had a gun or knife but didn't even look at me. Lots of new shiny machines and a very friendly players club. Didn't see any excitement and was not enticed in playing. Cannot believe that there is no food in there. First time there, Thanksgiving day, I walk in and a guy in the front by the podium, says "your hat" and points to my head. I'm thinking to myself does he mean I can't wear a hat inside? I said what? He says "your hat take it off face recognition" but the nastiest way you ever want to be to a customer. That's the first thing I got when walking in the front door. So I took my hat off and I said you could be nice about it " He said "I was" I said "no you weren't, you could at least say excuse me, sir could you take a hat off for the face recognition" He says "they don't pay me for that" They definitely weren't paying him for his looks or attitude, I went to the bathroom, took a piss and left, I'll never return to that casino. And to tell you the truth, I've never had anyone ask me to remove my hat at a casino for face recognition. I don't have a problem with doing that. I have problem with people giving me an attitude before I spend $1000 and probably lose. At least put a sign up and explain what the procedure is walking into the casino instead of putting a bozo there with an attitude problem. This is a sorry excuse for a casino. I was down $100 then won some back to being a $30 net loss on 90 mins of gambling, so no regrets there. There are no dealers, no video poker, no cocktail waitresses or waiters - if you need a water, you should bring your own. There is video roulette and I think a very small amount of video blackjack. But almost every other machine is an electronic slot machine with games that have multiple lines of Asian looking symbols - enough to give me a headache and be at a blistering disadvantage. It almost seems like a casino geared toward lower income, less strategic capable gamblers. I would only go here if I had 45 minutes to kill and nothing else to do. Mohegan, Foxwoods, even AC are worth the ride for a true experience if you are spending a weekend day. read more

A Group of us (10 in total) wanted to go to the new Casino in town after our company Christmas Party. We went on a Monday night. As expected it was not very busy . I thought it would be a bit larger inside as well . We all ordered 1 drink from the unfriendly Bartender. I ordered a vodka and cranberry juice. Everything is measured and I seriously don't think it was even a full shot of vodka in my drink, it was all cranberry juice and the drinks were very expensive. I knew going that they had no tables just slots so I try my luck at the slot machines. I'm trying this one machine I hit three times in a row $120.00 , of course I was excited next thing I know , security comes over to tell me to keep the noise down (ITS A CASINO?!) I asked my coworkers if I was that loud and they said absolutely not. I mean if they wanted it to be quiet, they should've built a library there. He then proceeded to ask me how many times I hit, and for how much (very odd) I tell him and he walks away . Not five minutes later I'm not only not hitting at all, but losing consistently. Honestly, I felt that was a little strange. Not sure if the machines are rigged or not but it did leave me uneasy, so I walked away. One of my coworkers was at the bar, trying to order a second drink. The bartender refused to serve him stating that she felt uncomfortable and called Security ! I watched the entire interaction. All he asked for was a second drink mind you we were all feeling pretty good because we had just come from the company Christmas party, but we only had one drink there. So I went over letting them know None of us were driving and that we had only had one drink on premises. The security literally asked us to leave - the entire group of us ! Talk about being left dumbfounded . I asked why we were being asked to leave and they said they feel like it's best and that was the only explanation we were given. I asked who I could speak to regarding this and I was given a phone number to call the VP in the morning. I called the number and left a message with my name and phone number and have yet to hear back. Not even a courtesy call back. I will never step foot in that casino again. read more
