What a great place. Amazing layout, great sports bar lots of tv's. The staff is on top of their game the woman running the bar is the flash and was everywhere at once, basically a blur speed and very much on top of things I was impressed with her desire to please the customers and insure they are happy with their food and drink. I went on karaoke night and had a blast. The DJ Tom was very good and made it fun for everyone. My food was good but I have some recommendations. Buffalo wings could use less sauce, there is a point where there is too much sauce when it's like wings soup so cut back on the sauce 50% and I think you would hit the sweet spot. The chicken tenders were cooked perfectly however the breading to meat ratio was way off. I'd rather less bread and the same amount of meat. The drink were great and with a little more attn to detail this place is going to be amazing. read more

We just came here again and picked up two set of wings, all flats (there is an extra fee BTW). The honey lemon pepper is the way to go. We asked for them fried hard and they came exactly like that. Regular, NORMAL SIZED and amazingly fried chicken wings. The sauce was godsend. Usually a cool laid back drinking spot. Haven't tried the food yet, however on my most recent visit. They were packed like my friends have never seen before. This by far is the worst service I have ever received. There was one waitress working the shift for the NFL playoff game, which is completely insane! The owner should have prioritised having an adequate amount of staff, for such a busy day. Unfortunately the food was so slow to arrive, but when it came the food was delicious (not worth the wait, but delicious nevertheless). It takes entirely too long to get food here. Please expect a 30 min to an hour wait on getting your food. I ordered a CHEESEBURGER!!!! It was like $60 and a 45 min wait to get the food. Unacceptable. However, the food was delicious. I had a drink while waiting and the bartender is a heavy pour so I got a little tipsy. The only reason I wasn't LIVID. It was fucking terrible dude. We walk in there thinking that it's a sports bar on Sunday night. Bears verse the rams. They have the some sitcom running on fox and no server netting us at the door. We sit down ask them to change the channel to the foot ball game. They say"what football game" I say "the only one on at 830 in New York" they change it we still don't get serve for another 10 minutes. If I could give a negative star I would. It's Super Bowl Sunday and I'm prepared for the bar to be busy but not to the point of waiting over 1 hour for 2 loaded potatoskins that were dried out and a sloppy Philly burger that was murdered twice. Not only did I wait over an hour for my food but I order two drinks off the menu to which the bar tender tells me she don't have time to make and she didn't have the mix to make the drinks so I ordered water with lemon and THEN I waited over an hour for my food. When it was time to pay the bartender tried to charge me for the drink she didn't have time to make, basically Trying to charge me $10 for tap water and lemon which tasted disgusting. And to top it I off the bartender didn't want to give me my voided receipt from my original order nor did she give me a copy of the receipt from the corrected order. Went here with some friends and the bartender was very rude. She barely gave us service. Took about 2 hours to finally get some wings. Then later she admitted that she was feeling negatively about a friend in our group (apparently he knew her but was a bit drunk so he treated her as if she was a stranger. But he was not at ALL rude to her in any way, despite not remembering her, and even tipped after her giving all of us attitude for the duration of our visit). My friend called to complain to a manager and none were available. This bartender was the only one available to speak to and she proceeded to accuse my friend of lying on her, despite all of us witnessing her disrespectful behavior. I will NEVER go back. It's such a fun, little dive bar. Drinks are inexpensive. The waitresses are cool Tomboys. They have an area to smoke and a pool table. BRING YOUR OWN CHALK! They don't have any. The food is not great. If you're coming for the food, stay home and cook. If you're coming to socialize and have a good time then you're gonna be right at home. This place formerly known as Gails in Newburgh was a total disappointment they are lucky that they got 1 star and I give it to the bartender(whom was very sweet) the food I ordered first of all came out incorrectly cook but I decided to take a bite to see if the steak( prime rib) was at least good tasting and tender.. unfortunately my steak was like shoe leather so I took it off my plate and brought it back to the kitchen within like 2 minutes of it being served, and I explained to the waitress that my steak was first off cooked improperly (which I could have dealt with if the steak tasted good or was tender) and was too tough, I'm assuming it was the owner came up to me about 5 minutes later and ask me what the problem was with my steak and I told him as mentioned before he came back another 5 or 10 minutes later to tell me that he looked at my steak and thought was properly cooked and that maybe I should give it another try!!! because they were out of steak and he was not sure how to compensate for my steak because he had no more, and again told me that I should try my steak again after it had been in the kitchen for 10 to 15 minutes after I brought it back because he felt it was cooked properly..(sorry abut the repetitiveness). as far as I'm concerned there was no making that better I gave him back my plate with vegetables and potato and told him to take it off my bill that I would not pay for it and he pretty much insisted that I was wrong, both of my friends agreed that he acted very unprofessional as an owner I did not lose my cool with this guy, but he obviously could not know that I had been in food service for 25 years+ and know the customer is always right, and you should not have a s###! This bar is a really friendly neighborhood spot perfect for celebrating any adult occasion. Held a surprise party here with over 50 guests, and the owner Jay was so easy to contact and coordinate with. He made sure to check in with me multiple times before the party, and followed up with me to make sure we were all set for our celebration. We also catered food, which was delicious! They have many options to choose from and for a reasonable price! I highly recommend the wings, penne alla vodka and eggplant Parmesan! Additionally, the bar tending staff was so welcoming and diligent. The great service coupled with good food, and great drink deals will definitely bring me back to Whoo's!
