The Gallery At Westbury Plaza is an easily-accessible, open-air shopping destination located on Old Country Road in Nassau County and has Old Navy, Saks Fifth Avenue, Paris Baguette, Spuntino Wine Bar & Italian Tapas, along with a number of other stores and restaurants. There are plenty of parking spots. Trader Joe's carries a great variety of products from everyday basics like milk, eggs, meat, bakery items, and fresh produce to totes, fresh flowers, and hand lotions. Shelves are fully stocked and staff are friendly. I got lucky one day when I stopped by and saw boxes of the Mini Canvas Tote Bags ($2.99 each). There were a limit of 4 which was sufficient for me to pick up for my friends and I. The green canvas bag ($3.99) was also in stock. The petite bouquets ($3.99) are always fresh and a perfect little gift for yourself or for someone else. I also really enjoy their from the freezer selection like the cookie butter ice cream ($4.99), Jumeokbap (Korean Rice Balls) ($4.99), and Kimbap - Korean Tofu and Vegetable Seaweed Rice Roll ($3.99). Trader Joe's products are affordable and budget friendly.

A lot of the regular produce and goods appear to be a bit on the pricey side of things, but, if you're in the market for those weird long skinny grapes, find them here! In this little market they also have a bakery, which looked like it churns out some pretty rocking delights. One of the shoppers in the store while I was there walked up to an associate just to rave about some jam-filled pastry he had bought and was looking to buy again. I mean, the dude was stoked. While this store will not make my go-to list or the stores I can stop at to pick-up-groceries-on-the-way-home list, it will have a place on my if-i-can't-find-it-in-my-regular-stores list. For being a smaller market, they also boast a lot of prepared foods and takeaways that can make it easy for those nights where you just can't fathom preparing dinner, again. Oh, and there's plenty of parking, so that's a win.

First site driving up to this location, I saw the well crafted and color coded logo and I took notice of the words "Market Place" in the brand name. After walking in I was mesmerized by the site of what was in the entrance. Like a kid in a candy shop I began to stammer out of excitement. I stood in front of the pastry and cakes area and the person behind the bar, spoke and kindly asked if I needed anything. I stated that I was just looking, he responded by saying, if you need anything, just let me know, I'll get it for you. Awesome custom service!!! He scored big . This is a MARKET PLACE, they have a plethora of stuff. Bread's of all sorts, snacks, cakes, flowers. They have a coffee bar. A hot food bar, a salad bar, smoothie bar, and a dining area to relax and enjoy. I actually walked through the entire store because I could not believe my eyes. I will give an A for their merchandiser. Although most people aren't aware of product merchandising, I am a merchandiser and I saw little room for improvement, one might say the merchandising efforts were not miniscule. The entire store was magnificent . My attention went to the smoothie bar, the lady behind the counter was more than helpful, engaging, and maintained eye contact when conversing. The name of the drink is Fresh Green (FG), the drink was obviously fresh as they have tons of fresh produce in the area. Kale, lemon, celery, and apple is noticable and gave a distinction taste. I am enthusiastic about my next visit.

Grabbed 2 avocados, some plums and a single hand of bananas. FYI a hand of bananas can also be called a cluster, containing 4 to 7 or 10 to 20 fingers attached to a stem. I also purchased Pepperidge Farm cinnamon swirl bread, not very happy with this purchase, I thought it was similar to the raisin bread. This bread is like chomping down on a 2x4 thick AF! The store was immaculate and busy, workers doing what the do on a normal day. They need to be commended on how well they go about their duties while interacting with customers. The lady at the front desk was kind but she didn't supply my request, I asked for a winning Powerball ticket, I only had one number that matched (try not to take me too serious, she did a great job). Frustrating Checkout Experience at a New, Clean ALDI…read more I really wanted to love this new ALDI location. The store itself is spotless, well-organized, and actually enjoyable to shop in. The layout makes sense, the aisles are easy to navigate, and the product selection is great. From the moment you walk in, it feels like the kind of place that should become a regular stop. But the moment you're ready to check out, everything falls apart. The checkout lines here are consistently long and slow-moving, no matter the time of day. What makes it even more disappointing is the fact that ALDI removed their self-checkout options without putting any effective process in place to keep things flowing. If the goal was to ensure items in the cart match what's being scanned, you'd think there would be a smarter and more efficient way to do that -- but instead, customers are left waiting with no clear system or support. It's frustrating because ALDI's nearby competitors, like Lidl, do offer self-checkout at their busier locations, and it makes a huge difference in convenience and speed. Here, it feels like the store took a big step backward. As much as I appreciate how clean and modern the store looks, the checkout experience completely overshadows it. Until they fix the long lines or bring back self-checkout, I really don't see myself returning regularly. This location had so much potential, but checkout makes it more stressful than it's worth.
