I came to Cherry Valley Marketplace because I needed a bottle redemption center. The redemption machines were fully functional and the outside area was kept well. First site driving up to this location, I saw the well crafted and color coded logo and I took notice of the words "Market Place" in the brand name. After walking in I was mesmerized by the site of what was in the entrance. Like a kid in a candy shop I began to stammer out of excitement. I stood in front of the pastry and cakes area and the person behind the bar, spoke and kindly asked if I needed anything. I stated that I was just looking, he responded by saying, if you need anything, just let me know, I'll get it for you. Awesome custom service!!! He scored big . This is a MARKET PLACE, they have a plethora of stuff. Bread's of all sorts, snacks, cakes, flowers. They have a coffee bar. A hot food bar, a salad bar, smoothie bar, and a dining area to relax and enjoy. I actually walked through the entire store because I could not believe my eyes. I will give an A for their merchandiser. Although most people aren't aware of product merchandising, I am a merchandiser and I saw little room for improvement, one might say the merchandising efforts were not miniscule. The entire store was magnificent . My attention went to the smoothie bar, the lady behind the counter was more than helpful, engaging, and maintained eye contact when conversing. The name of the drink is Fresh Green (FG), the drink was obviously fresh as they have tons of fresh produce in the area. Kale, lemon, celery, and apple is noticable and gave a distinction taste. Every so often I find myself taking the convenient way out and then walk out of this store scratching my head. Just now....grabbed a small bag of carrots, sign clearly marked $1.99 . Nearby, a much larger bag marked $3.99. At the register, the small bag miraculously changed to $3.99. Confusion, checking, nonsense, and yes, $1.99. How many people do they cheat a day? BTW...the cashier was not at fault...the scan was incorrect, making me really wonder..... If you visit here, watch everything and know the cost of all of your items or you WILL get ripped off. Does the ideal supermarket exist outside my dreams? I'm going to take the plunge and rate Cherry Valley Marketplace as good as it gets. I've done a lot of comparing in the area. And I think this is the one. Their produce department will leave you speechless- every kind of vegetable or fruit you could possibly desire is here. Celery root? Sugar cane? Yuca? Scotch bonnet pepper? It's here. Everything clean, organized and so fresh. A marvelous selection of packaged precut items too. Phenomenal deli department with meats, salads, and dainties of all kinds. Fresh seafood- live lobsters! Snacks to suit every taste, and oh yeah: Drakes Cakes. Aisles are spacious and clearly marked. Customer service is excellent, checkouts are sufficiently manned and I have never had a long wait. Good prices overall! And, no data-mining membership card needed. Big private parking lot. Added bonus is its shared with some good restaurants, dry cleaner, drugstore, so you can get other errands done. I finally found it! read more

I went there to buy one thing and ordered the dessert lobster tail which looked decent enough. Not only did they not have a proper container for it, it had mold actual green spots underneath the mountain of cream. Horrible. The staff seemed to be fine until check out, I did not want to found the issue exactly but it was unpleasant experience. I probably will not return but I think cherry valley will be fine without my patronage. read more

Cherry Valley is a great place to shop. Cashiers are friendly and managers are very helpful with any issue you may have. They have a large selection of every kind of food and sale prices are good. I am much happier shopping here than the larger stores, they maintain a family owned atmosphere. Lastly, during the pandemic when certain items were scarce, they had much more on the shelves than stop and shop. read more

Most of the store is well organized and appears to be clean at first glance. However, I stopped in Friday night to buy some pork shoulder that was on sale and the meat section had an ungodly stench to it. The smell was overwhelming and actually made me nauseous. They've recently expanded the deli area to house a little cafe/juice bar. There is table seating and it looks like an ice addition to the store. However, the bathroom, which is right through the double doors to the left of the deli/cafe, was like something out of A Nightmare On Elm Street. It was filthy, with black mold covering a good portion of the ceiling, no hand soap, and blood and excrement all over the toilet. It was truly a horror show. How can you serve food and coffee and then expect customers (and employees) to use this digesting bathroom? I would sooner change my baby on the sidewalk than use the changing station in this facility. Someone needs to clean this store--especially they bathroom and the meat/fish section. This is a beautiful, fabulous market! The produce is gorgeous: fresh and many choices. The deli case goes on forever with fresh salads and dinner entrees to go. Salad bar and hot bar. Sushi and poke bowl area. Acai bowls and smoothies. All reasonably priced. It's all about fresh food, healthy, many choices at a reasonable price! So convenient! ATM here too. read more

Lately my mom has been raving about this supermarket. So the other day we were in the are and we stopped in. I havent been to this supermarket in over 20 years so my memory of it is vague. Came in on a monday early afternoon the store was fairly empty. The had a very extensive produce department with some great prices.The parking was pretty good not too packed. Avocados 3 for $5, fennel $1.69 each. Granny smith apples 99¢! I thought itwas ok we will get some extras because the prices are great on these items! We primarily were coming in for produce so i really did not get to venture to te rest of the store. But overall everything was clearly labeled, clean and well lit. Checkout was pretty prompt. I went in for the first time and all I wanted were two cupcakes from the bakery. I waited a long time to be served because of only one person at that counter. Then I was informed that the register at the bakery dept was not working, so I was sent to a ridiculously long check out line. There was no express lane. I started using Cherry Valley Marketplace after my neighbor told me about it. It's been about a year now. I cannot always get out to the grocery store so their delivery service is GREAT! $50.00 minimum delivery. I type in my order online, choose the date & time for delivery & that's it! The girls that call you afterward are amazing! Always nice & they tell you if they are out of something and offer you a replacement. The delivery person is really nice, helpful & always on time. I especially love the same day delivery they offer until 7:00pm! Stop n shop does not offer that. If you forget something, you can always add it on when they call you to get your payment info!!! My only complaint... I cannot order cold cuts from their deli department anymore. My family is very picky, and they want their ham, bologna, & basically all the meat cold cuts sliced paper thin, almost shredded, and I DO write that on my order in caps every time, but always get the cold cuts sliced thick. We dont care about the cheeses, etc. But it seems their deli dept. either doesnt care about the customers wants, or they just dont feel like putting in the extra to get it the way people want it. I will continue to get my groceries there, and they do get the 5 stars, but because my family loves to have cold cuts in the fridge, I have to go get them someplace else. read more

I like this small market. Their deli prices are cheaper than the big supermarkets and they carry Boar's Head. They have HUUUUUGE selection of teas from all over the world. They carry some interesting international foods, as well, like pistachio halvah from Turkey! The produce is pretty good. Now they have a real smoothie/juice bar. I had a mango, banana, peach and soymilk smoothie the other day, which was delicious.... with no ice added... they give you all ingredients! The workers are all helpful and friendly and the store is clean. The checkout is pretty quick. read more

A five star shoutout to the Coyote: Roll Chicken Cutlet Mozzarella cheese Russian dessing & WAFFLE FRIES ... all toasted to perfection. Generally a lunch sandwich but if you're having those late night munchies with your friend, it's available at 12am and beyond. When I first heard of a coyote, I just thought it was the same thing as a bindi. But once the waffle fries were mentioned, the deal was sealed. After some crappy food at catered club my friends and I trooped it over to Cherry Valley for the greatest sandwiches ever. read more

I'm here on Easter Sunday because Stop & Shop closed at 5! Wow wow wow! This supermarket is half the size of their competitor but has double the product, better produce, clean aisles and fully stocked. I am superrrr impressed. Daniel (I think that's his name- short, Hispanic, ponytail, early 20s) at the deli counter was so sweet and efficient. Coupled with the typical New York "Okay. I got you mami", after you told him what you wanted. Sweet, efficient and follows direction! Thank you Daniel!!!! The shelves are fully stocked and all the labels are facing forward. I am very very very impressed and I will be shopping here instead of the other place. Happy Easter! Great job! PS- they have this minivan outside that says shuttle service- pick up and drop off. Cherry Valley Market always looks like no one touches anything. It's clean, the produce is perfectly displayed, and the isles are always neat. If you can't find something, an employee will tell you were it is or actually walk you to the section without you asking for extra help. The deli people are super nice and always patient and helpful. You go here for food, not other stuff, the items like pet food cost more here. It's worth it when you're not in the mood for long lines and chaos at all the Stop n' Shops surrounding the area. They have organic items and vegan items too. The produce really outdoes the other stores. They have bulk bin items in the produce dept. like dried fruit, nuts, and seeds. Impressive and expanding refrigerated vegan section near the produce. Really happy to see a variety of violife cheeses, which I stop and shop doesnt carry. There are actually a few different spots that have designated vegan items, another being in the dairy/frozen aisle- Field Roast plant based nuggets, fruffalo wings-also items that I haven't seen at s&s. They also have Nocciolata hazlenut spread, Quinn's gluten free peanut butter filled pretzels, and chocolate filled pretzels, and Vegan Rob's puffs (several flavors). They're also the only local place I know of that carries the smooth operator pb by Peanut Butter & Co !! And Rao's homemade marinara sauce. Plus the store is beautiful, super clean, and the staff is really friendly. read more

In a sea of only Stop & Shops to choose from, Cherry Valley stands out. Pound for pound or leaf for leaf, their produce quality, selection and price cannot be beaten in the area. You will find international vegetables or fruit that you cannot get at the other bigger stores. And the prices!! Their service checkout service is also the quickest I have seen. Store policy not to accept open items for return. I purchased one of the store brand items, toilet paper ten pack and the quality was so poor my hand would have been better. They refused to take back the nine individually wrapped rolls for store credit or refund. Buyer beware. All local supermarkets stand behind the products its sell. Prices are a bit high, but the selection is good. I like the layout of the store and the shelves. I couldn't do all my shopping there because I often can't find what I need and items that I regularly buy are not on sale. There are some nice imported speciality items, but it can't compare to Fairway. The staff are sometimes nice and sometimes unbearably slow. There are times when I've gone in and found great stuff and other times I literally had to leave my items and go home because the checkout was such a mess. read more

Wow. This is some improvement. The place is so clean and has great areas. They even have a smoothie and cafe bar and an eating area. Very affordable and the staff is so much more professional and interested in what they're doing than at stop n shop (employees shouting to each other, having conversations with each other and ignoring he customer, just obnoxious) nearby which has been heading down the drain over the last year to year and a half.
