Very HIgh prices, expiration dates very close, problems with veggies and some food but fairly good. I would use as last resort if I could.

First site driving up to this location, I saw the well crafted and color coded logo and I took notice of the words "Market Place" in the brand name. After walking in I was mesmerized by the site of what was in the entrance. Like a kid in a candy shop I began to stammer out of excitement. I stood in front of the pastry and cakes area and the person behind the bar, spoke and kindly asked if I needed anything. I stated that I was just looking, he responded by saying, if you need anything, just let me know, I'll get it for you. Awesome custom service!!! He scored big . This is a MARKET PLACE, they have a plethora of stuff. Bread's of all sorts, snacks, cakes, flowers. They have a coffee bar. A hot food bar, a salad bar, smoothie bar, and a dining area to relax and enjoy. I actually walked through the entire store because I could not believe my eyes. I will give an A for their merchandiser. Although most people aren't aware of product merchandising, I am a merchandiser and I saw little room for improvement, one might say the merchandising efforts were not miniscule. The entire store was magnificent . My attention went to the smoothie bar, the lady behind the counter was more than helpful, engaging, and maintained eye contact when conversing. The name of the drink is Fresh Green (FG), the drink was obviously fresh as they have tons of fresh produce in the area. Kale, lemon, celery, and apple is noticable and gave a distinction taste. I am enthusiastic about my next visit.

My stuff came to a bit over $16 and I asked for the discount and the kid says, oh, you have to spend $20! WTL...??? No other store has this little asterisk, (not to mention this place also has the highest prices in the area) not even the Key Food on Central Avenue. I do realize they are different owners, but the umbrella name is Key Food, so maybe a little bit of continuity would be nice? I told the manager, whose bigger manager was there and he said, yeah, they had a meeting and this was what they decided. Ok then, now I've made a decision and it's to never shop this store again. My mother may love the cole slaw, but she'll learn to live without it. 5% isn't going to break me, but you know what? Every penny counts, especially for seniors.

7/29, I stopped in…read moreto do some bottle recycling and to pick up some fruit. I arrived while the recycling center was empty, just an employee cleaning the recycling machines. He was very pleasant and kind. My machine topped off to full while he was yet in the room and he swopped it out quickly. Picking up buy 2 get 1 on the strawberry, blackberry, and blueberries. Grabbed 2 avocados, some plums and a single hand of bananas. FYI a hand of bananas can also be called a cluster, containing 4 to 7 or 10 to 20 fingers attached to a stem. I also purchased Pepperidge Farm cinnamon swirl bread, not very happy with this purchase, I thought it was similar to the raisin bread. This bread is like chomping down on a 2x4 thick AF! The store was immaculate and busy, workers doing what the do on a normal day. They need to be commended on how well they go about their duties while interacting with customers. The lady at the front desk was kind but she didn't supply my request, I asked for a winning Powerball ticket, I only had one number that matched (try not to take me too serious, she did a great job). Cashing out was also pleasant. I enjoyed shopping in Long Island as opposed to the Springfield/ Merrick Blvd location. It was a good day, so .. Inspire more, Yelp more!
