I would give zero stars if could. Just spent a couple days f hundred n groceries and used the $10off coupon. Which the checker quickly tore off the sheet. So I asked if I got credit got the $1 off cheese slices. Was told since that was on the back side of $10 of sheet and it was torn in half she couldn't give me the coupon price. I would have to go wait in line at the courtesy counter. So wait in line for a dollar and let the ice cream I just bought melt. They can have the dollar but they won't have my business anymore. Ok just got home and weighed my asparagus, which I questioned when it was rung up. It cost 3.99 a lb. I bought two bunches which I knew was not 4 lbs but was told they were since that's what the upc code rang up. So they actually weighed a total of just over two lbs. Now I've been overcharged $1 plus $7.98. I I didn't have a dinner to get ready I would be headed back there. I will go tomorrow. The last time I will ever go there. read more

I live 30 minutes from here and sometimes go to the FC by my house. I've had nothing bad depressingly slow service and unfriendly staff interactions at that one though, so while I was in Jefferson City I thought I'd give this one a try. I need to give a huge shout out to Audra at the deli counter. She was so helpful, sweet and knowledgeable. She had a big smile on her face and kept me engaged and kept asking questions to make sure I was getting EXACTLY what I want. At the store by my house the deli girl takes (no joke) 15 minutes to cut 2.5 total lbs of meat and cheese. Audra was prompt and a great experience to work with. If all your staff are as good as her I'll make the drive to get the significantly better service. read more

I've tried twice to get curbside delivery. Both were exasperating experiences that ended in me giving up. The website will not let me register. It always says there's a problem (I can sign up with everybody else in the world). When I call the number listed, I'm just put in a circle where no one answers. I called the local store. They grudgingly gave me another number which just sent me to the same phone message as before. I finally found a number that let me leave a phone message. No one ever called me back. The first time I tried this was months ago and it was just annoying. Now covid has hit my family and I still can't use it. A good two hours of my time wasted trying today. I'll drive further for my groceries in the future and leave Food City alone. Clearly, customers are mere annoyances to this company. It's okay to not offer curbside service. It's not okay to put people through this only to find out that you're never actually going to provide the service anyway. read more

This store is such a pleasure to deal with! I live in Illinois and my elderly father lives in Jefferson City TN and I periodically order online for him. They fill my order and deliver it to him curb side so he doesn't have to go in. I always call to verify everything is set up right and the employees are always so pleasant and helpful. Nice grocery store in Jefferson City, not too far from the college. I appreciate their cheese selection, and compact shopping baskets. I find the check out set up to be odd. I prefer the simplicity and speed of the one in Gatlinburg. read more

I'm used to having a Publix on every corner and multiple other options nearby such as Super Target, Trader Joe's, etc. So, I was a little skeptical of Food City and assumed I would be buying most of my groceries in Knoxville. However, I was very pleasantly surprised with this store. They have a great Natural Food section that meets all my vegan staple needs such as vital wheat gluten, nutritional yeast, nut milks, FYH sour cream, gardein, etc. Additionally, they carry almost every flavor of Amy's soup (a favorite of mine), vegan Ben & Jerry's ice cream, vegan pizza, and lots of other snacks. I even saw cupcakes in the bakery made with non dairy whipped cream! In addition to a great selection of food, I found the store to be clean and inviting. The prices are already decent but I joined their rewards program and noticed I'm actually saving quite a bit so YAY! Checking out is a breeze with their self checkout lanes. And you can't beat their hours. Being open to midnight ensures that I will almost never have to endure the unholy hell that is shopping at a Walmart out of desperation! read more

This store has progressively gone from ok to bad in many ways. In just the last cpl of times I have been dbl charged for several items and had to go back to main desk to get refunded. The items showed a single charge on the screen and showed as buying the same item twice on the receipt. Also this last trip in addition to items ringing up the wrong price- you really have to watch for this as I don't think I've had a single visit where a cpl things didn't ring up higher priced than the actual cost. Makes me wonder if this "problem" isn't purposeful.- Anyway, I purchased a cpl pkgs Keebler cookies with manufacturer coupons on the pkgs and during checkout handed the coupons to the cashier. She scanned the first and then told me only one cpn could be used per visit. The back of the coupon even said one coupon per item and no more than 4 coupons per visit. I said to hell with it and just had her take the pkgs off the order. Got outside and still a little pissed off went back in and asked the manager to show me why could only use one coupon per visit. Mgr said there wasn't one. I could understand if the cashier had been new but I've seen her in the store dozens of times. You know it's not even the coupon that bothers me it's the lack of common sense these employees demonstrate. Well anyway, if you shop at the food city in Jefferson City, TN 37760. Watch the screen while ringing out and dbl check your receipt cause they will definitely rip you off. read more
