Coming from San Francisco, I've participated in several small and large events catered by personal chefs and Sarah is among the very best I've had the pleasure of trying. I appreciate that she checked in with all 25+ invitees to ensure she was customizing her menu not only based off potential allergies, but preferences and favorited alternative options. If I could give Sarah 10 stars I would. She was exceptionally professional but also approachable and relatable. She read the room perfectly and responded accurately knowing whether to leave us be, joke around, or tell us a story. The table decor and presentation was jaw dropping. My friends planned this dinner and hired her for my 40th birthday celebration at our Airbnb and I was floored at the table set up when I came out of the bedroom. This gal has many MANY talents! She was able to accommodate both meat eaters and vegetarians, but also gluten free and vegan. We started with a charcuterie board with all the fixings that satiated both the meat and cheese eaters, and the dairy free-veggie crowd. Dinner started with a plum salad and then jeweled rice with roasted chicken or mushrooms and seasonal roasted veggies, and ended with an olive oil and thyme cake topped and layered with grapefruit (all gluten and dairy free). I can't even find the words for the entire meal. Just book her! It was beyond!!! She somehow cleaned up and did all the dishes in the open kitchen without us even realizing. All I can say is wow, wow, wow! We hired Sarah to prepare three meals for my extended family of 14 over the holidays, and boy did she deliver! She accommodated my niece's nut allergy, my nephew's pescatarianism, and my father's immunosuppression, and prepared three very different types of meals that we all heartedly enjoyed. Sarah was a surprise from my family for my 30th birthday. The first time I have ever had the honor of experiencing a personal chef. Sarah was awesome from her personality, her presentation with decorations and the food; I mean I am still dreaming of the food. I have never had a perfect steak or asparagus in my life. She made us a dinner with four courses and sides along with a brunch in the morning. Some of the comments from my group were "I'm going to be dreaming about this meal on my death bed" and "If I ever need a last meal this would be it". I had a small event out in the desert, and had the pleasure of tasting chefs Sarah's amazing dishes. Everything looked wonderful, smelled delightful and tasted delicious. My friends and I marveled at how beautiful each dish was set up and prepared, and could not wait to dig in. The salad, the chicken dishes, Mac and cheese were phenomenal... I may have had several servings, but was glad that I saved room for dessert, some of sort of berry cobbler which everyone loved. I'm always a little skeptical when a single chef is catering a large group- mostly because quality sometimes gets lost within the logistics of such a big undertaking. This was definitely not the case with Sarah! Quite the opposite in fact. Sarah miraculously managed to prepare some of the highest quality dishes I've very tasted to more than a dozen of campers who were similarly impressed. I can honestly say that many of the flavor profiles and food pairings were a first for me.
