I've had a couple of incidents with the Food Lion here on the island. First, she brought the wrong groceries so she didn't look at the bag. Then when I get home, I've got a bag full of brown green beans and a almost rotten red onion. Do better. read more

We took another trip to the beach, so we went back to Food Lion. This is the best grocery store. I wish they would come to Columbus, Ohio. It was Sunday at 9 AM, and they had a lot of staff stocking and ready for check-out. We bought vegetables, Fruit, and lunch meat and cheese. The Prodece is beyond fantastic, the sweet corn was to die for. The Delie staff are super helpful and they had a great assortment--these people rock. read more

Pretty nice, sometimes doesn't have what I want in stock. Nice employees sometimes, but otherwise it's okay.

Good service. Good price. Had them make a birthday cake for a family member while we were on vacation. Did a great job.

The staff at the deli in Holden Beach, are very moody. You never know what to expect. The store isn't always stocked well, and when the stock is being replenished, the employees get irritated if you need them to move to the side. I know they have a job to do, but, if you need what they are putting in the case, they should understand. Perhaps this is a super busy location with Tourists. We stopped shopping there. The store in Shallotte is much better, and Ocean Isle even better. read more

It's not as nice and clean as the Publix on the other side of the plaza. But this place carried a wide variety of BBQ meats at an affordable price. Huge selection of just about everything you can get at a grocery store. Cashiers were speedy. read more

It is one of 3 grocery stores within 15 mile radius of Emerald Isle. I prefer Lowe's on 70, but this place is convenient for a quick stop. It's your typical grocery store, however it has a poor deli selection and limited butcher service, if you are in to that kind of thing. read more

Although there is a mask policy affixed to the window upon entrance, and cashiers are wear masks behind plexiglass, workers hanging out in front of the store don't wear masks and about one quarter of the customers don't wear masks either. In short Food Lion is too cheap to hire a security guard or police officer to enforce the policy. The bottom line is that you are sacrificing your workers health and lives for your profits. Be a good corporate citizen and protect your essential workers. read more

They have the nicest people working there. Also the selection is excellent! The store is clean and an expanded selection of fresh produce. They even have a person spraying the shopping carts with sanitation solution due to Covid19. I highly recommend this store. read more

Nicest group of food lion cashiers/sales associate I've ever met. I'm not sure if it's just in the triangle, but Food Lion has a horrible rep- their food along with their service. This place blew me away. We stayed down here for a girls weekend a few weekends ago and we made a few trips out to this Walmart to stock up the pantry. Everyone was so helpful and considerate. Not to mention the location was so clean and organized. It made shopping a breeze even though it wasn't my neighborhood market. The strip mall it's located in has everything needed for a weekend away-grocery store, nails salon, abc store, coffee shop. I can't wait till our next trip out to Emerald Isle. I'm sure I'll come through the Food Lion just to see their smiling faces and to feel right at home. read more

I love Food Lions. I know a lot of people I talk to don't, but I do and I've been missing them (until recently we had none around my house). Also, this Food Lion is open 24 hours, a nice bonus. read more

I love Food Lion, we've been shopping here for 20+ years. Just 1 request. Your website says your open 24 hrs. But the sign in the window says 6-10. If your hrs. are changed because of the virus issue, please adjust your website hrs. according. Here on vacation for a week and noticed that some of the workers are nice but not all. Being the only Asian customer in the store they will stare at you. My only complaint is the young ladies they have working there. One blonde, tan girl who rang us up was soo rude, she didn't smile didn't even bother telling us our total. We live here - the food lion on Emerald Isle is always stocked, has great sales and the help is friendly, helpful and working hard to keep the place ready for guests to the island. Centrally located, they have a good selection (no, not a harris teeter selection) but enough and without the price guaging you would expect. Big kudos to sales clerk Mary - she is always sweet, friendly and welcoming. I acutally shop here over other stores due to the better service. read more
