I understand that stores can get busy, but that does not excuse unprofessional behavior toward customers. I was genuinely shaken by how I was treated, which is not something I expect from a store I've previously recommended to others. I live in this community and often share recommendations on where to shop. Until now, I have spoken highly of Lowe's Foods, but this experience has made me reconsider that. This Aldi (located in the resort town of Myrtle Beach) was a good place to stop in. One of the questions I ask myself before entering a new Aldi is to guess which way you go once you enter. In this store, it's to the right, just like our neighborhood Aldi. And like other Aldi's, if one was dropped in the middle of the store, even without any signage, one would quickly know where they were. They did have some brand name foods, including Korean Shin Ramen, though at a much higher price than what you could get at a H-Mart. And this location continues the Aldi tradition of needing a returnable quarter to get a cart. My wife checked the Aldi branded (Aldi Finds) aisle, but didn't find anything she wanted to buy. We ended up buying a gallon of drinking water (we had gone to Costco early in our trip to buy water but decided that 4 gallons was too much), and some gourmet cheese that we've had before and liked. Dollar General #21071 has the laziest and rudest employees. I picked up a plastic basket with $1 in front of it. When I went to check out it rang up for $3. The cashier asked two employees that were standing outside doing nothing to come back in. The female picked up the basket and said the ticket on bottom is $3. I told her the shelf has a sign that shows $1. Show me! I'm in a leg brace from my thigh down to my ankle but let me walk the employee over. "The $1 sign is in the wrong place." How is that my fault?
