After handing over my order, there was a mention that cakes were being baked in the back and that normally there would be more cakes in the case -- just letting me know more items were coming out. That kind of small detail says a lot about customer service. It felt thoughtful and welcoming. They had three coffee options today: cinnamon bun, pecan, and Kona. I went with the plain Kona, and it was a great cup of coffee -- smooth and flavorful. My only "complaint"? I wish the cup was just a little bigger. All in all, Pawleys Island Bakery delivered a solid breakfast experience -- good food, good coffee, and good hospitality. I'll definitely be back to try some of those cakes next time.

Well obviously you can see that this is a 5-star review, but that alone doesn't do this establishment justice.. Follow along for just a moment because i'm going to give you five reasons why, one for each star. The food: Seriously... a restaurant needs to have good food in order for it to get a good rating, and this place slaps! The emphasis on Korean cuisine with an added touch of the owners' (Jamaican) culture gives a diverse spread of great options that DELIVER warm-and-fuzzy emotions. The Hospitality: I don't know why anyone on earth would choose a neon lit, dismal bar to drown away their sorrows, when they could get all the therapy one needs at this place. I didn't expect coming in here that I would talk about life, dreams, family, etc. with the owners, but I left a happier man. We shared books that inspired us, stories of home, and a love for the American Dream which is alive and well in this power couple. The Service: If their goal was to distract me with great conversation long enough for the food to arrive, consider it to be mission-possible. It felt as though only a few minutes had passed after ordering, when my delicious Bulgogi Toast came out. Not minutes after eating my toast, they used some time-traveling technology to deliver the Jerk Chicken Wings. Both were insane dishes that I would go back for again and again. The Authenticity: In today's day & age of superfluous influencers and the lens of social media, it's a rare to meet people who are so truly excited serve, feed, and make you feel important when in their care. Make no mistake, if I had chosen to sit in the corner booth and ignore the invitations of these great people, I might not have experienced the joy of getting to know them. Instead, I sat at the bar and made great conversation with some awesome people who were absolutely brimming with energy. The Dream: If these two entrepreneurs could make it so far in this great nation, with their 7 children and big dreams, then surely any of us can achieve whatever we set our hearts on. I walked into this place to eat a meal, but I left wanting to reach higher and go farther in life. Even though I only met them for one hour; somehow, I feel as though the owners would recognize me and celebrate my success if they ever saw me on TV, doing well for myself. They made me feel that important. It really isn't every day that a traveling technician gets to enjoy such a solid experience. The food and service at this new Asian-inspired restaurant with a focus on Korean food was terrific!! It has a fun vibe and the owners and staff are warm and exude Southern hospitality. My son and daughter-in-law enjoyed their date night dinner so much they recommended it to the rest of us! And we're glad they discovered this new gem! We loved the Bulgogi Toast and Yakitori - the dressings on the slaw are to die for! The ramen was yummy, and my nephew, who is half Korean, said the Loaded Ramen medium spicy was the best he's ever had!! My 91-year old dad who is 100% Korean and had a slight cold had the Jaeng Ban Dinner and really enjoyed the beef soup and sides - just what the doctor ordered. Andomiro is a nice addition to the many wonderful restaurants in the area. We wish them all the best and look forward to many more shared meals in the summers to come!!! read more

I recently visited Andomiro, and I was blown away by both the food and the service! The combination of Asian and Jamaican flavors is something I hadn't experienced before, and it works so well. I tried the Jamaican Jerk Chicken Wings with a Red Stripe, and it was perfection flavorful, tender, and perfectly spiced. Their rice and peas were also spot-on, and the Boba tea was a fun, refreshing surprise. The staff is amazing super friendly and welcoming. They made me feel right at home and were more than happy to explain the menu and make recommendations. You can really tell they care about their customers and take pride in what they do. Fellow foodies: this is the MUST TRY spot in Pawley's Island. The vibes are immaculate at Andomiro! We started with the jerk chicken spring rolls and knew immediately that we were in love with "Jamasian" food! The incredibly kind staff recommended the Yakitori Dinner, which allowed me to try so many delicious bites. My husband selected the Curry Goat, and WOW it was easily the best thing we tried on our vacation. All of our sides were fabulous too, and the array of hot sauces available on the table added such a fun touch to the experience! One of my favorite foods in the world is noodles in broth. In any form, from any culture. And I got a unique and delicious experience at AndoMiro. We loved the fully loaded Ramen so much that we even got two orders on our way out of town. The Fully Loaded Ramen had curry and dumpling and noodles and broth had just enough kick and lots of gooey warmness. And speaking of gooey, there was cheese in the Ramen. I know. I know. My golf buddies decided to visit Andomiro and experience their wide range of Asian dishes with a Jamaican twist. We had a great time and a delicious meal. The highlight was the owner sharing details for each of the menu categories. We decided to try several different dishes and were happy we did. We topped off our meal with several of the desserts including the fruit cake adorned with ice cream. Such amazing nice owners! After spending my day traveling and getting to the hotel late, it was very hard to find a nice restaurant that was open at 10:00pm. They are only open from 2 - 8 pm on Wed - Sat, so my wife and I made it a point to go there around 3 on a Thursday. We were the only customers during that time, and got to speak at length with Mike, the co-owner. We really enjoyed it, though their pricing could be altered to be more consistent. The plaza and surrounding area isn't much to look at, and the Grille is not visible from the road. One really has to make an effort to get here. We really liked how the inside was decorated, with a mishmash of Filipino culture on one side (including a pretty good mural of Manny Pacquaio) and a large nature scene (painted by Mike) that gets added to with cinema characters when he gets inspired (examples being Chunk from the Goonies, Sebastian from the Little Mermaid, and my favorite: Frank Dux from Bloodsport). There is even an official arm wrestling setup at one of the dining tables, inspired by the movie 'Over the Top'. Drinks are strictly cans (soda for $2) and bottles. The menu is very focused, nothing too complicated, and very tasty. They were out of the wings and burger that afternoon, but we were here for the Filipino entrees so there were no issues. Lumpia Meal ($13.99) - comes with your choice of three lumpia and rice. What's a little disheartening is that the price of the meal is actually higher than if you ordered the items individually ($11.96 : lumpia and one scoop of rice are all $2.99 each) Regardless of the reason, that's not a consumer friendly thing at all. I really liked the variety of the lumpia, which had been fried very well (crunchiness is always good). The gyro was different, with the side of tzatziki sauce adding a lot of flavor. My favorite was the TNA (Taters and Adobo), the mix worked really well. What I thought would work well (the bulgogi mac n cheese) was OK, probably because there wasn't much filling or flavor. Chicken Adobo Meal ($13.99) - no pork adobo today, so got the chicken. It was OK, decent flavor, but small amounts of chicken breast. We added a pork skewer for $2.99. It had been glazed with banana ketchup and grilled over an open flame. Street BBQ Skewers ($13.99) - liked the pork skewers, so got three more in a meal. It has the same addition problem (individually priced, it adds up to $11.96, less than the meal). The meat pieces on these seemed even smaller, and some of the cuts were grisly. Mike did suggest I get the small fruit salad for dessert ($1.49) and it was good. Reminded me of halo halo, except smaller and without the beans. Lumpia is definitely the thing to get here.
