But savoury wasn't on our minds this fine evening, we wanted to try some desserts that, for some may have been considered unusual or different, and for others reminded them of home. I guess for me it was a bit of both. I am usually a mango junkie (and yes there was an entire section of the menu dedicated to the best fruit in the world) but I opted for a hot dessert in the form of black sesame glutinous rice balls with sweet ginger soup. It was my first time trying it and instantly loved it! It's quite noisy inside so you'd have to speak with a bit of volume to be heard. But it's a good venue for groups, especially if y'all don't feel like going home early (they open late).

The coffee (like any coffee in Australia) was amazing. I came for the pavlova at every chance I got, and they did not fail to make us a perfectly crafted pavlova every time. My daughter got their macha cake and was loving that as well. I was in New Zealand a few weeks prior and was told that pavlova is a dessert that New Zealand also claimed to be its own, but I only found it in one place, in donut form. Once I got to Australia, I was able to get pavlova everywhere, but this place has it down to a science. The ice cream, cream toppings, and fruits that go with it were all perfectly made well together.

It tastes like perfume but with cool texture! The smokey Bannoffee is very very strong, our waiter tells us it is the dessert that divides diners. The cendol is the only one that I could do without but was enjoyed by my partner. a small choc bowl holds the gula jawa, coconut type pudding and cendol balls. They sit on top a mango pudding. If you close your eyes, you have all the taste of Cendol but it's so bloody confusing for your eyes!!
