1. I went because it's a good deal for a case 24 pack of Corona beer for 23.99. 2. When I saw it was incorrect, I asked to speak to the manager. Fausto manager said that my ONLY choices were to buy an 18 pack at that price, or he would only authorize 1 case at that price. 3. When I asked Fausto, the manager, for the corporate phone number, he gave me 310-884-9000. It's an answering machine that answers and hangs up. 4. I took pictures of the inside and outside of the store, which clearly did not post the error of the advertisement. 5. I had to call corporate at 800-576-4377. Spoke with Sam for 15 minutes - useless. A person like this is a absolute detrememt to any business, especially in this day and age when money is tight and competition is fierce. Gosh, this store needs a major cleaning and re-organizing. The store itself is a bit disappointing in the fact that it is dirty. Most employees don't really care to do their job at 80 perfect capability. Most floor help isn't really looking to get asked questions because they are so overwhelmed. The store has great prices but you get what you pay. In my last visit, the meat department case was beyond disappointing and unhealthy. I pointed out to the store manager that there were mold and junk in the upper part of the case. She reassured me they would have it cleaned. I did call the city inspector for our safety. The employees can be rude and short at times but overall they try their best. Parking is fairly easy and there is plenty of shopping carts. It's really disappointing, this store is rather new and it seems like they haven't cleaned it since they opened their doors. My daughter needed to use the restroom and when we walked in, it was absolutely disgusting. No toilet paper, toilets were covered with poop and the walls were filthy. How can a baby changing station be covered with dirt and grime? The hallways to the restrooms and the staff lounge were also filthy. If the public can see this part of the store, I can't imagine what it looks like in the storage area in the back of the store. I was a regular customer but will no longer shop here, I was truly horrified. Be aware with their meat department... its not healthy!!!! Ive been here a few times at night before closing. The last time i was here was last week. I purchased some Some pork, i got home and put it in the freezer. Today i was going cook it and it stunk like hell!!!! My specific review is for the BAKERY. The baker is incredible. Every cake we get (and there have been many many) are delicious. Whether I preorder it or walk in and grab one that's pre-made, they're all amazing. She does beautiful detailing and art. Always moist. I'm always getting compliments and when I say the cake is from food for less and how inexpensive it is everyone is shocked. I have referred quite a few people to get cakes here. I just got charged DOUBLE the price for zucchini and summer squash (yes I buy A LOT of it and it can add up quick) because the person ringing me up insisted that I wasn't buying zucchini. I used to shop at Sylmar Food 4 Less all the time. Good prices. But then I noticed they turned to money-grubbing, trying to squeeze every cent possible out of the customer. They don't respect their customers. I shopped there on Monday and asked for money back when paying. They would only give money back after charging me an additional 50 cents for the transaction. If they really needed that extra fifty cents per every few customers, they could have hidden it in the cost of a product. Raising prices 1 cent would have solved the problem and nobody would have known or cared. Instead, they are blatant about their greed and don't care what the customer thinks. I did not pay that 50 cents, and I have taken my business across the street to Smart & Final. Having shopped at S&F twice now, Food 4 Less has so far lost $53 because they were trying to scam another 50 cents from me. read more

I've moved around a lot and been to countless groceries stores...This Food 4 Less is atrocious. It's owned by Kroger who also owns Ralphs which is an excellent chain of grocery stores. This, Food 4 Less however is not very good. I was at a Ralphs in my former city of Alhambra just last week, despite this place saying Food 4 Less, the prices were not less than Ralphs. Several key items I buy were a dollar more. The place is called Food 4 Less but it's all marketing, nothing here is actually less. I got my food for better quality but much less at the Smart & Final across the street. The produce section was severely lacking. They were out of several fruit. No blueberries, no strawberries, no bananas a few other things were missing as well. I asked the store worker if they had some in stock or maybe there was produce in another section. He simply said they were out, as if it's a normal occurrence in this store. The only fruit they seemed to have plenty of was apples and pears. Also, they require you to bring your own bags like Ralphs which isn't an issue but they don't bag any of your items like Ralphs does. They just scan the items then let them sit there. I wouldn't bother dropping by here, skip it and hit up Smart & Final or Ralphs. Once again, despite it saying Food 4 Less, only the quality is less not the price. read more
