Dr. Kalhor and her team are absolutely incredible. Her knowledge and experience and apparent as soon as you meet her. She is very thorough when explaining any matter and has answered all of my questions and concerns. And as a bonus, she is quite funny which for me personally, only makes me look forward to going to see her for my appointments. I went to go see her because I have had really bad problems with pain in my feet because I have flat feet. We started off with orthotics inserts which helped alleviate some of the pain, but not really a solution. She recommended I have corrective surgery and had me speak with another one of her patients who had the surgery done before and he highly recommend it. So I went ahead and had surgeries on both of my feet and am currently in recovery but I already notice a difference in my steps. Can't wait til I'm back to 100%! Oh and by the way, do not have chilaquiles for breakfast the day of your surgery like I did because they will make you reschedule. read more

My mom went because she had discomfort with a nail she is 85 and cannot reach her foot comfortably. Doctor only cut a corner, trim a bit apply cream (10 minutes at the most) and charged $200! They told us the consultation was $125 and if there was an ingrown nail another $75, in this case it was nothing else. My mom felt like the ripped her off. Find a more honest option. read more

The receptionist Ashley needs further training and needs to be more compassionate when speaking with clients. She informed me she couldn't ship $500 orthotics I paid for and asked what I wanted to do because they would throw them away. Unprofessional! I recommend this Foot & Ankle office and Nasim Kalhor, DPM - 100%. After breaking my foot, in three places, I was extremely worried that it wouldn't heal properly, as I waited 3 weeks before finding a doctor. I was able to make an appointment for the next day! Showing me the x-rays, which are done in the office, Dr Kalhor explained everything very clearly, pointing out the issues and making a coherent treatment plan. She assured me that my foot would heal and I would be able to go back to my regular routine. Dr Kalhor had me go in every week at first, then eventually reduced the intervals as I got better. Each time they X-rayed my foot and treated my foot with medicine. At first, she gave me a velcro cast boot, and as I got better, she changed it to a lighter brace. Once I no longer needed a brace, she recommended physical therapy, which really helped my foot get stronger and heal the nerves. Throughout the entire process, I felt totally supported and free to ask questions from Dr Kalhor and her staff, who are very attentive and helpful. As a bonus, appointments are enjoyable, as she and the staff make it kind-of fun. My husband injured his foot a few months after I did, and Dr. Kalhor took care of him as well. read more

Dr. Nikamal gave us money hungry vives from the get go-we went it to get my child's feet diagnosed because they sometimes turn blue-ish and also to get an X-ray to make sure an old fracture (fixed at a different place out of state that was great btw) healed correctly. It did. After diagnosing her with Raynauds, something we can't do anything about (no money for him) he quickly moved to one of her toenails-it was very slightly ingrown- and he got his nail clipper and clipped it and told us to consider corrective surgery for it. We laughed to ourselves bc he was clearly just trying to find something to get more money out of us. We have a good PPO insurance thru GEHA. He also gave her a foot cushion to wear in her shoes-which we didn't ask for- we got a bill for that. I also got billed for something called I strapping" (insurance said it's wrapping of an ace bandage or adhesive tape for a purpose) and "surgical procedure" (the clipping of a corner of toe nail). My daughter never got her foot wrapped AT ALL. I called the office to ask what those charges are and they told me the dr wrote "strapping of Left foot with dancers pad" which I told them did not happen nor does it match the code they billed my insurance. Also I never got a consent form for "surgery" or a cost estimate for said "surgery". I tried to dispute these charges but the billing department said these are the charges and that's that. No help at all. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place at all. Update: I was told to speak to Cody the office manager, when I first spoke to him he was nice and said he understood my complaints and that he's help me out, he said he'd call me in a few days. He never got back to me. Over a month passed and I tried numerous times to get a hold of him via voicemail and email. Nothing. I finally gave up and called to pay the bill. The billing lady gave me a credit of about $50 off my total bill (I think because I said I had given up on trying to reach him and getting this resolved and decided to just pay it and write them an honest review about my unhappy experience). I was appreciative and would have probably never even gotten so upset had she offered this the first time I called her to discuss the issue. BEWARE! BEWARE! I went in for heal pain and they said it was Plantar Fasciitis. In the end they billed the insurance $1026.96 for about a half hour to 45 minute appointment!!! Well since I have a High Deductible Insurance plan the insurance plan paid nothing but reduced the charges to $653.09 which we received a bill for. Unbelievable! Talk about surprise billing! They charged the following: $125.00 Office Visit. Not out of line $80.00 each for an x-ray of both the right and left foot. (Total $160.00) I have no pain in my left foot but just went along with what "the doctor ordered" They gave me an injection in my right foot. The injection medicine cost was $10.00, BUT they charged $160.00 for an ultra sound with the injection and another $122.34 for giving me the injection!!! A total of $292.34 for a $10.00 injection! And it gets better. They then placed a piece of plastic like a tongue depressor on the bottom of my foot and wrapped it with that blue medical tape (sticks to itself tape) and charged $193.60 for the "Night Splint" plus $70.00 for wrapping the tape! A whopping total of $263.60...and did I mention this wasn't even done by the doctor it was done by the medical technician!!! (by the way it fell off even before I made it home!). And then they gave me this little cheap walking boot to "wear at night while sleeping" No not the typical walking boot you normally see people wearing it is a cheaply made small thing that you can buy on Amazon for $19. 99....and they charged $186.02 for this thing!!! I called them and tried to negotiate the charges to something more reasonable, I offered to pay them $380.00 based on what I felt was a closer to reasonable charge, they basically told me to pound sand that I was responsible for the full amount! I've been going to Dr Kalhor for several months now and I already feel so much better. I've had issues with my right foot since I was a child but most recently I had developed plantar fasciitis and a heel spur in my left foot. I was in so much pain initially. Now my pain and inflammation have significantly subsided. My past doctors had given me pain killers to treat my foot issues but Dr. Kalhor has been using herbal shots on my foot as well as custom orthotics and a night splint. Rather than mask the problem she tackles them by the root and fixes the issues causing the pain. I highly recommend Dr. Kalhor and I wish I had found her sooner. I had my first visit today and was very impressed with the office as a whole. The office is in a nice area and has easy access parking. The waiting room is modern and very clean. I was greeted by a friendly face and the check in process was easy!They squeezed me in same day and I had no wait. I was called back before I even finished my paperwork. The nurse who took my X-rays treated me like I was an old friend. The technology in the office is very up to date and makes you feel confident you're in good hands. Dr Kalhor is hands down the best foot and also in my case a wound care specialist in the Antelope Valley and beyond. I'm a special type of patient because I have a double lung transplant (11 years and counting) which also means my immune system is suppressed to prevent rejection. The primary caveat to that miracle is I have almost no ability to heal normally. I turned up at her office with a wound so bad she was as concerned with saving my leg never mind healing the massive hematoma. From my 1st visit to the end of the 14 month battle to heal my lower calf she ALWAYS had a direct treatment plan and guessed at nothing. My body did all it could (plus some dumb decisions on my part) tried it's best to fight her but she ultimately kicked it's ass. Synopsis: Dr. Kalhor turned an open wound the size of a tea saucer into a postage stamp sized scar. Way better care than I'm used to in AV...the type of podiatrist other podiatrist go to. I can go on probably for another half hour or 1000 words because I feel like we've been through the same war like battle buddies in the same platoon but I honestly can't say enough good things. read more

I understand that they have to make a profit but $70 for an arch cushion made of felt and $208 for wrapping my foot? My experience with Dr. Kalhor has been excellent. When she first saw me, I had a chronic case of plantar fasciitis with severe morning pain and persistent pain throughout the day and night. I was not able to do any aerobic exercise; walking or on treadmill. I've just started using new orthotics, prescribed and fitted by Dr. Kalhor. Remarkably, even before this point, the diagnosis and treatment Dr. Kalhor prescribed has practically eliminated all pain. Now, with the orthotics, I hope to resume my daily aerobic exercise regimen. I have been going to Foot & Ankle Concepts for about 6 months now for my CRPS in my left foot. I've been seeing Dr. Nikamal he is very nice but the reason I didn't give 5 stars is in the beginning I didn't feel like he believed me about my foot pain because he told me CRPS can only be caused by a traumatic accident or a break in the bone. Well I had a 100lb ice cart run over my foot and even though my bones weren't broken I was still in a lot of pain a year later. According to the Mayo Clinic's website even a bad sprain can cause CRPS and until I brought that article in on my 2nd visit to show him I feel like he didn't believe me. Since then he has been nothing but nice & wanting to do anything he can to help with my foot pain. He has wrapped my foot with pain medication bandages and gave me a boot to wear, ordered an MRI & a ultrasound, given me 2 nerve blocks. I feel very respected and I feel that he genuinely wants to make me feel better so even though I feel we didn't get off to a great start the 1st visit. I brought my concerns to him & he listened and it's been really great ever since. I'm glad I didn't go somewhere else. read more

I absolutely love dr. Kalhor. I should've gone to her years before. Had constant pain with my right foot. Would always swell up each day and be in constant pain. It got to a point where I had to do something about it. I looked around and saw the great reviews and made the call. Thankfully I did. She took some x-rays and was able to pinpoint what the problem was. After getting some injections and some custom insoles my foot doesnt swell up at all and the pain has subside vastly.
