These new orthotics not only address my problem with plantar fasciitis which was very painful but also cushions my outer foot. Leaving me pain free with happy feet. Dr. Khoobyar is a very caring doctor. Even though my orthotic was available early on, she advised me to take care and see her when it was safe during the cover-19 pandemic. I am ordering another pair of the orthotics since they are tremendously helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Khoobyar. Happy Feet=Happy Person!!!

I called Dr. Khoobyar after reading the reviews on Yelp. To my surprise she picked up the phone, I explain about the ingrown nail, and that I used to have custom made insole, but I am not going to pay $200 for any insole, if she could help me out. Dr. Khoobyar was professional and said if I wanted to come in she would squeeze me in to take a look at my toe and would recommend excellent quality insoles that do not have an inflated price tag. The office is clean and share with a few doctors. Inside she assessed my toe and stated "that's not an ingrown nail, is a little corn." Ohh and all this time I though it was an ingrown nail. She then continues to take it off, then smiles and tells me "What are we going to do with those nails, they need to be trimmed." and trims the corner in both of my big toe. Then she offers to order my insoles since I forgot my credit card. I love her for her personality, professionalism and honesty. She is excellent Now my boyfriend can go back to giving kisses to my corn free toes.

I've personally dealt with Lisa on several occasions after some of our clients here weren't able to book appointments despite having the proper insurance. Lisa's got a disagreeable, dismissive and mean disposition overall and doesn't seem to grasp the fundamentals of her position there which is I'm sure to work effectively with perspective patients after taking down their insurance information; there is no follow through on pending issues, no call back, after a week or so she'll call back looking for information that was already given to her. Not everyone's insurance is exactly the same; different number of allowable visits, different co-pay, etc. If it's not a simple 1x phone call Lisa becomes flustered and unglued.......it's noticeable!!! I mean if our clients here are gossiping here in the common area about Lisa while having lunch then something is clearly "not right" over at Dr. Bennett's office. As far as Dr. Bennett is concerned I've heard nothing but good things and the same for a Dr. Levine who makes house calls here in the neighborhood; as a community we're extremely fortunate to have such excellent and caring doctors right next door. But, you can't access this talented and caring medical service if you can't get by Lisa at the front desk. I'm sure a sizable portion of the patient pool there are senior citizens who need a little more care and attention, follow through and understanding at times and the same probably holds true for those individuals who have severe ambulatory issues. What about the care attendants who don't always have a good command of English or Spanish? How are they to handle Lisa? How do they advocate for basic medical attention if they've got to deal with Lisa?

Well this thing that decided to raise up on my toe has been getting bigger and bigger. It was getting irritated from all my walking. I asked three doctors and was given three different answers as to what it is. I tried wart remover a couple years ago and that made it worse. I decided to leave it alone since it didn't bother me. Well finally today I decided to visit Dr. Rosen's office to make an appointment. 177 East 87th has two or three entrances. Lucky for me I asked someone entering the building and I was told Mt. Sinai was inside. Dr. Rosen is affiliated with Mt. Sinai. I made my way to the 4th floor following a lady that had an appointment with him. I was glad I went in to make my appointment because I was asked if I wanted to see him today. I was ecstatic. I just wanted to get this thing off my toe. After filling out about five forms and presenting my insurance cards I wasn't there very long before he squeezed me in between his exiting appointments. Within less than two hours, I had X-rays, blood circulation tests, and had a long talk with two of his staff AND Dr. Rosen about my medical history and current state of health. The diagnosis was made of bone cyst (or spur). He said he would remove the protruding skin to give me relief. He gave me a local numbing medicine (like Novocain of the toe) that wears off in five hours. We will see! Next steps; I keep the bandage on until Friday and then just use a Band-Aid. I return in a week to have him be sure it's healing. He is now Marianne's Podiatrist. His staff made me feel like I was a long time patient. They are very laid back and nice, including Dr. Rosen. They really have a system in place to move multiple patients through their tests and appointments without a hitch. I was thoroughly impressed. I'm happy they will see me early in the morning next week. I'm praying for a clean bill of health!
