I searched throughout my insurance network and this was the one podiatrist office that didn't complicate getting an appointment. I was able to get an appointment with only a short wait time. The office is located in a convenient location, it's right off Lincoln Ave and a block off Damen. There is a train stop, Irving Park, not to far from the office and several buses run near the office. It was easy to get to the office. During my visit I was paired with Dr. Heidi Hoffman, she is amazing! I arrived a few minutes before they opened and Dr. Heidi Hoffman allowed me to come in so I didn't have to wait outside. She was friendly and very educational. As I mentioned above, I came into the office for toe pain that was making it hard to use shoes. She listened to my issue and quickly noticed what could be causing the pain. She was able to give me a instant short-term pain relief and gathered whatever was needed for additional tests. She was also able to help me understand more things about my foot. After the appointment, I was updated roughly a week later about the results of the test and given instructions on how to deal with the continuous toe trauma that she discovered. It's been a few months and my toe barely aches when I put on shoes. I can press on the toe that had the issue and it doesn't hurt. It was the complete opposite a few short months ago. I would highly recommend coming to Lincoln Foot and Ankle Center for all of your needs.

IF YOU HAVE A PAINFUL NEUROMA in your foot. This one is for you!…read more TLDR:: Dr Usman is Seriously Amazing. Extremely comprehensive and did not rush AT ALL. The wait and the 4 hour drive to see him was WELL worth it. My story; For more than two years, I lived with constant pain from a Morton's neuroma. What started as occasional discomfort gradually became something that affected nearly every part of my life. Simple things most people take for granted became difficult. Walking my dog, standing in the kitchen to cook dinner, shopping, traveling, and even getting through a workday were painful. At night, I would often lie awake because of the burning, tingling, and electric shock sensations shooting through my foot. I honestly felt hopeless. I constantly googled, ChatGPT, researched on line and did so much. Over the years, I saw multiple doctors (1 sports medicine MD, 1 orthopedic doctor and one podiatrist l) and tried just about everything that was recommended. I went through custom orthotics, physical therapy, shoe modifications, several cortisone injections, and alcohol sclerosing injections. While some treatments provided temporary relief, the pain always returned and returned with a vengeance! Eventually, I was told by my local doctor that surgical nerve removal was likely my next option. The idea of surgery, recovery time, and the possibility that it still might not solve the problem left me feeling extremely discouraged. That's when I searched and emailed Dr Usman (used the main email which his staff forwarded to his direct email). He replied so quickly to me even though I was not an official patient of his! I immediately scheduled an appointment with Dr. Usman. From my first visit, I felt that my concerns were genuinely being heard. Dr. Usman took the time to review my history, explain why previous treatments may not have worked, and discuss all available options. One treatment we discussed was cryosurgery (cryoablation), a minimally invasive procedure designed to treat my painful nerves by using extremely cold temperatures. After a few weeks later, I was cleared for the procedure and the procedure itself was so much easier than I expected. It was performed in his extremely clean and Beautiful office. During the procedure at several points he made me felt very comfortable and checked up on me and explained in detail what he was doing. He made a very small pin point entry point in my foot and did cryosurgery for my neuroma! I had no large incisions or stitches. I was able to walk out of the office afterward wearing a comfortable surgical shoe. About 1 week after the cryoabalation of my neuroma, I woke up, stepped on the ground with my bare feet and I had ZERO pain. For the first time! The pain that had controlled my life for years finally began to improve. Today, about 6 weeks later, I am back to doing the activities I had given up. I can walk longer distances, enjoy social events, and spend time with family without constantly thinking about my foot. The sharp burning, walking on a rock pebble and electrical sensations that once dominated my day are no longer part of my everyday life. No treatment is right for every patient, and everyone's results are different. However, if you have been struggling with Morton's neuroma, have tried multiple conservative treatments, or have been told surgery is your only remaining option, it may be worth learning more about cryosurgery/cryoabalation and discussing whether it is appropriate for your situation. I only write this review to help those out there still struggling like I was. For me, finding Dr. Usman and Michigan Avenue Podiatry Clinic was a turning point. After years of frustration, I finally found relief and was able to get back to living my life. If you're on the fence about seeing Dr Usman for your foot problems. I would highly encourage you to see him. Best Podiatrist in Chicago and beyond!

For the 4th toe, he initially aimed for non-invasive treatment (soundwave), which provided some relief and reduced swelling, and did not pressure me to address the big toe. Ultimately, after presenting me with several options, we concluded re-surgery on the two toes with the best results. 2 1/2 months post-surgery, I am back to running and other activities. I still have some residual swelling, but that typically resolves in 4-6 months. I can tell from the xrays that both toes are more stable than before. Dr. Williams is knowledgeable on multiple modalities of care and approaches each situation as a unique problem to solve. He is not quick to push one method over another, instead aiming to educate his patients and reach a mutual decision. I highly recommend his practice to others.

I had an ingrown big toenail that game me mild discomfort and was told that I could undergo a simple procedure to cut the ingrown out of the side of my toe, then have a chemical applied so that it wouldn't grow into the skin anymore. What I ended up with is a deformed big toenail that I now have to use a special gel to reconstruct. I followed up a significant time later on the results and was told that I needed to give the nail time to grow out without filing, reconstructing, etc. I have not touched the toenail at all in over a year, and this is how it looks today, almost five years later. Permanently deformed with about 10% of the side of my toenail missing and slanted. I included a photo of both big toenails to compare the appearance. I'm obviously very disappointed about the outcome and deeply regret getting this procedure done here. I was not informed about this risk beforehand.

(I spoke with LUPE). Today, I get a call one hour and a half before my appointment with them telling me they don't take my insurance even though I double checked with them and that if want to go would be out of pocket. What!!! It's a total ripoff!! So now I wont be able to be checked by a doctor today but on top of it I lost a day of work because I adjusted my schedule in order to go... ALL because of their incompetence and because they are obviously trying to scam people. (As you can see by their reply, accountability ZERO! The person I talked in the phone (Lupe) said SHE made the mistake and instead of writing all the insurance information she just input "blue cross blue shield" without adding anything specific and yet still I made the appointment a week ago, sending a copy of my insurance a week ago, yet they wAited until an hour before the appointment making me lose a day of work because of their mistake??? Cash price what?? The only thing I was told was "if you still want to come it'll be out of pocket) All conversations are recorded btw, maybe realized as an owner your employees can make mistakes that can affect the client)

I came to this clinic for a couple pairs of new orthotics. They cost the typical price, about…read more$800, which was partially covered by insurance. The orthotics needed to be adjusted several times, to get them to fit properly. Each time I returned for an adjustment, each appointment within 1 month of initially receiving them, I was charged a co-pay. I felt like I was being charged to correct something that should have been guaranteed to fit. Basically, they charged me and my insurance each time to send the orthotics back to the lab to be adjusted. And each time my orthotics were sent out, they took about 2 weeks to get back to the clinic. On top of this, the clinic seems to occasionally over charge. I end up with some credits on my account, which I was never told about. They did not offer to issue a refund check. Which reminds me, it's been more than a year since my last visit and according to my health insurance they still owe me a credit. They've never contacted me about this, basically leaving it up to me to track my refund down. On a positive note, Dr Glick and Dr Tsatsos did an excellent job informing and educating me about my foot structural issues. They gave me a lot of information on how to find shoes that fit and don't exacerbate my issues.
