In a rainy afternoon, I found a gem tucked into a strip mall across from Lidl's in East Meadow. I called for an appointment (and they take walk-ins) and was able to get a 60 min back rub and 30 min foot reflexology. Lola was my therapist and she was outstanding. She used a creamy lotion vs oil which was a nice addition during the winter months. The sections are divided by curtains and the quality of the towels were very good. You get a large tote for your personal belongings. Lola was professional and thorough in my massage. Kyle was at reception and was very pleasant. Went yesterday with my husband. Place is a bit dated but the service was amazing. The massages were on point and the hot stone massage is a hit. Staff weren't very personable and didn't say much. Not super intimate and more like a nail salon set up with comfy chairs. Definitely worth the money. I would recommend people to come but not look for am elaborate spa vibe. Loose usage of the term "Spa", uncomprehending and noisy. People visit establishments like this to relax but that is not easy to do at Foot Heaven Spa in East Meadow with all the staff yapping. The foot massage was fine, but the spine should NEVER be directly pressed (the muscles and area around the spine are mostly okay to massage though) - something employees of this establishment and most others of this kin are guilty of. Trying to explain target areas and areas to avoid on the torso to the staff, whose aggregate comprehension of the English language is about that of a toddler, is nearly impossible. Also, be wary of the quality of service anywhere within a half-hour of closing time. The agitation of the employees waiting for a ride home is palpable. Today was my first visit to Foot Heaven Spa. My feet ache all the time, and today a coworker recommended this place after finding it online, and I decided to give it a try. Don't let the strip mall exterior fool you. I've been to high end spas, which were nice, but this is truly foot heaven. The room is dimly lit, with the sounds of serene, zen like music and a burbling fountain. When you arrive, you are guided to a comfortable leather chair. The foot rub starts with a warm foot bath while you are treated to a neck, head, shoulder and arm massage. I had no idea that my hands needed soothing until they too were included in a gentle treatment. The masseuse I had was fantastic. When the foot massage began, he reclined my chair and treated my feet with such care and respect. This put me at ease and allowed me to relax. In fact, I probably dozed off a bit, it was so relaxing. You will also get a calf massage as part of the foot rub. Be sure to get the hot stone massage at the end. Just when I was thinking how perfect this all was, but noticed a tiny ache in my back which wasn't part of the foot rub package, my masseuse guided me to a chair and soothed away this ache without my even speaking a word. Just perfect, and the price can't be beat. I left feeling like a million dollars and can't wait to return. If you go, please respect the quiet room, as your fellow customers have very likely drifted off to foot heaven and you wouldn't want to bring them back to earth, would you? I was getting a massage when the fire marshal came in and expressed that they had a notice of violation and the place was "illegal use " . They also said they didn't have the credentials to give anyone back massages which is when the workers started to disassemble the massage beds all while i was getting a foot massage . Also I decided to only give a 7.00 tip and they looked at me like I was crazy and didn't even say thank you when the entire time they were banging , lights were on , and they were talking the entire time .
