This is not one of those froo froo places like Burke Williams, but this is therapeutic. Their massages cause pain, but in a really good way. When you walk out, you feel rejuvenated. The hubby said he enjoyed the massage, even though it is a different approach to typical body massage. Our therapists used their knees, elbows, and fingers to bring relief to the most painful parts. When I walked in I complained of shoulder pain, but literally every part of my body hurt. He did a fantastic job literally rubbing, pressing, and squeezing the pain away. This was a mother's day gift from my sister n law and this place was just not professional at all on the day that I went. first my tranquil message was turned into being stressed out because of all the arguing that was going on in this establishment, that lasted at least 30minuted so I couldn't hear any calming music at all. I have been there for a long time and always do the regular hour massage in the open hall, and this time got the new private rooms which is nice. Recently they have just build brand new private rooms which is more privacy and more comfortable table massage. There are three rooms, one big couple room which perfect for couples or BFF, and also two single rooms. The room cost $40 for one hour, they do 40-45mins on your back with the nice hot rocks or specific area you need to work with. And 15min for the front(neck should face and feet). Just try walk in or make appointment for the room since there are only three rooms.( they are always busy on weekends). Now they also provide mask during the massage which is $5 dollars extra. Update 2 months later from my injury I have been seeing a chiropractor 3 days a week to help correct the damage. It has costed me well over $1000 to do so I am making progress, although my hands and arms are still numb and my physical strength is weak I am still on limited duty at work. The place itself is clean & I appreciate that the employees wear masks when you're on your back due to germs. Making my appointment was very easy. The receptionist was pretty friendly. I gave 2 stars for these points. I hate to say that I thought the massage was absolutely awful. My guy was friendly but I felt like he was sloppy and it was not relaxing at all. I'm writing this after my second time going to Foot Reflexology. I was so happy to find a reflexology/massage place that was outside of Little Saigon in Orange County! The first time I went here was good. Just the right pressure and I left happy and relaxed, despite how loud it was (it is just one large room with no walls to separate the front desk from the massage area, and the employees and customers there DO NOT know how to whisper). The reason I gave it a 1 this time is because this time I was very uncomfotable...actually, a better word for it would be 'dirty'. My reflexologist was Kevin. He started out fine. Then things got uncomfortable. I noticed that his hands went a little further than I was used to. Down my shirt, on my lower back. I will spare you the details. I have gotten reflexology a lot, from many different places but this was different. Let's just say that I couldn't relax because I was wondering if this was just the way he massaged, or if he had taken it too far. After speaking with the other two people I went with, and thinking about the other positive experiences I've had with reflexology, I haven't been able to shake this bad feeling. The fact that I left feeling awkward makes me think I should've said something made a better point to speak with the manager before I left, but there were many people, including Kevin, standing next to us as we were leaving. I will be making a call to speak with the manager tomorrow. Conclusions: 1. Reflexology is fabulous, and an inexpensive way to relax. 2. Foot Reflexology is a cool place to go to, if you go in knowing that it's going to be noisy. It gets busy, so it's best to make an appointment. 3. The kicker: we go up to pay and there's a sign written in pencil (because everyone can see that in a dark room) that the atm machine isn't working. Didn't mention it when I called for the appointment, didn't tell me when I walked in, but I took out my card (I clearly didn't see the dinky a$$ sign) the individual gave me a ton of ish, "the machine doesn't work, read the sign, cash only, why no cash"? No big deal, my fiancé said she'd wait and I'll go get cash, more a-hole remarks and attitude. I come back in 5 minutes later with cash they snatch it out of my hand and demand a tip. I walk away, the individual chases me out into the parking lot. I say I'm leaving they say "come back inside" I say yea right. Not everyone can tip every time they go places. If they chase me out because of this that just shows crappy customer service. Came here after work today. Had horrible neck pains so needed a massage asap. The reviews were good so I came here instead of my normal place. I had an appointment so I got right in. The guy was VERY rough, I had asked a couple times to do it softer, he said sorry. But he still did the same amount of pressure. After a while of torture, he said we were done and walked away. Never even touched my neck (whole reason I went in)I went to pay and asked the receptionist if she could give the tip to him since I didn't know who was giving the massage. She said she was to busy. I went today for the first time. Walked in to a dim room. Was able to get a chair right away. It was a open area with 10-15 other "chairs". They put my feet in warm water and started working on my head down. About 30-40 minutes into they flipped me on my stomach and worked on my back. I cannot express how truly awful this place is in a review. One question comes to mind: where do I even start? From having my spine crushed, my skin pulled, and being accosted for tip going out the door -- the entire thing was a shit show. Everything was rushed and hurried -- yes, I understand it's not the most expensive, but $50 for an hour is still pretty large in terms of price (professional places where therapists actually have to have gone to school charge $59.95 for the same time if you are a member), but I still expect some quality to it. Let's start with the fact that the "therapist" was literally elbow-to-spine for most of the "massage". Any sensible person can tell you that that is a major health and injury hazard. If that weren't bad enough, the roughness with which he "massaged" was enough to leave a rather unsightly "stretch" mark on my skin -- the area is red and tender and smack in the middle of my shoulder blades. Combine that with being rushed and consistently doing painful maneuvers, and you've got a recipe for disaster. Towards the end, the maneuvers were enough to make me mentally chuckle and think "I don't know you like that," and "Buy me dinner first, damn." It can only be described as being humped, full force, leading with the knees. So much dangerous pressure was applied in a very dangerous way -- I'm seriously surprised that there's not been any injuries. Keeping it short, after the fiasco of the "massage", I was accosted for not leaving a "(high enough) tip". To be honest, I should've just ran and ignored the receptionist. Loudly enough for the entire room to hear (in a relatively quiet "spa"), I was demanded to "pay the boy". As if $51 dollars ($1 extra for the debit transaction) weren't enough, add insult to injury with the "humiliating" display and forcible demands -- my card was basically being held hostage. I'm not one to cower, though -- I left $5 (in my book, they should've paid me to have that massage, but I was "nice"), opened the door, dumped the tea (the tea they provide on the way out) in front of the door, let the receptionist know I would be reporting this, and left. Please, learn from this -- this place is a nightmare, waste of money, and potentially dangerous for your health. You will be accosted and potentially embarrassed after having a horrible experience.
