The worst ever massage place I've been in! We called before coming in and told them for two 1 hour foot massages, which they said they're available. At first they were able to accommodate us, then later as they were starting, suddenly the lady left. I waited for a couple minutes then the guy that was massaging my bf came to my side and started massaging me. Throughout the 1hr massage, the guy masseuse went back and forth from me and my bf. I was thinking it was going to be a 2 hr for the 1 hr massage since there's only one person massaging us which I was ok but when he ended it after an 1 hr, I was so annoyed. We felt rushed. We basically got the massage for just 30mins. And they still asked to get paid for the $40 per hr with the $10 tips each from me and my bf. I do not recommend this shitty business!!! This was my first time here and overall it was good! I had checked for the reviews and this reflexology was rated the most talked about on Yelp, so I gave it a try. First off, make an appointment. It's not recommended, the sign says "walk ins welcome", BUT just make an appointment. Luckily I did because there were only three workers.. So, if you don't make one and you walk in, there might be a bit of a wait. Depending on if you want a male or a female and the type of service you want. Second, wear comfortable, loose clothing. I wore leggings and a tank top. And flip flops. Or to make things easier, wear gym clothes with flip flops. Crop leggings/shorts and a loose tank top. It's easier when they are massaging your whole body, specially when you dip your feet in the water, you won't need to worry about rolling up your pants or if your pants is able to roll up to your knees. You want to be comfortable and you want the masseuse to really massage you without clothing being in the way, or they might be limited to working on that "knot" you had. Thirdly, don't expect this place to be a high end spa. It's a normal business where your "room" is separated by man made curtains, you can hear the next person over snoring/grunting.. If you choose the full body massage, there is a room separated with a man made wall and door. So, nothing special about that. They do tend to leave their front door open, so you'll hear outside noise. Cars passing by, people talking. It's not that bad because the noise isn't so constant. But, again not sure, cause I went in the middle of the day.. 4p where there wasn't a lot of foot traffic around that time. Location. I had to call them to see where they were at. So, to make it simple for my viewers, they are literally next door to Frank and Yuens restaurant and a nail place. Right across from the Pelayos restaurant. On the side where Comcast is. Please wash your hands thoroughly before you place your hands on my scalp, forehead, and body. My scalp and hair ended up smelling like cigarettes and that I had to take a shower when I got home. Her pressure was good. I could tell she was better massaging parts of the body compared to others. For example, not a lot of pressure on my scalp and forehead and feet, but A LOT of pressure on my back area. Decided to come for a massage here because I was having back pain and I remember in past years they gave out pretty good massages for cheap! BIG MISTAKE!!!!!! The massage was not at all relaxing as a matter of fact it was extremely painful. It honestly did not feel like the masseuse had any technique. It just felt like they were rubbing and elbowing my back the whole time. I went there with lower back pain and I left with upper back and shoulder pain after the horrible massage! Yet, at least get it warm enough that it feels good! Adding warm water doesn't help! You have to dump the water and just put new warm water in! Otherwise you get like warm water! Which is not relaxing or soothing!!! Ugh!!! I didn't say anything because I knew it would take forever for him to get the water warm! The foot massage was not even close to as good as it use to be! This place is AMAZING! Went in for what I thought was a 60 minute foot massage for $25, received an incredible FULL-BODY massage! Needless to say, I tipped heavily because they were so great. The employees were nice and courteous (although they didn't speak much English). The facility was clean and atmosphere relaxing. It was a bit strange to have just curtains between massage beds (there are a few private rooms partitioned off from the rest) but since I was fully clothed (except for when they lifted part of the shirt to work on my back), it wasn't a big deal. Once that massage started, nothing else mattered! I dozed off several times, it was THAT good. As for the massage itself, I ordered the $25 Foot Massage w oil. It started w soaking the feet while the head/scalp were massaged. Then, neck, shoulders, arms, hands. Arms, shoulders, and wrists were also gently stretched. Next, a long foot massage (including calves and thighs). After that, they worked on my back for about 20 minutes, then hamstrings and arms. Finished with the back. This place is ok. I've only been to one other place in napa to compare to. I was surprised they had me take my shirt off and did a full body massage with oil. That was a plus. Also it's very affordable at only $20/hr Now to be a little critical: During the massage, I was not a fan of the inner arm rub around my biceps. They started it without oil and it was painful and it resulted in some bruising. Later on, it was oiled and was much better, but I think it should have been oiled from the beginning. Next, when they had me flip over, the face hole in my chair smelled unclean. Since it was halfway through the massage, there was nothing that can be done about it but just lay there and breath it in. It was not an ideal situation. Maybe other chairs were cleaner, since my friends did not notice it during their massage, or my nose is sensitive, but to me it smelled like dried sweat. Yuck! I finally got a chance to go back to this place after my second baby was born. When the $25 massage started it quickly became evident that this was going to be an entirely different massage from the one I received three years ago when I was super pregnant. This massage was INTENSE and at times painful. You literally get slapped and jabbed at some points. During the session, I was actually making a mental list of all the people in my life who would not be able to handle it. But I am not discrediting the quality. It's a GOOD massage. You do feel great afterwards. But if you want a spa-like relaxing experience, this is not the place for you. You only want to go here if you have genuine problem areas. Miscellaneous tips: don't wear makeup, wear slippers, shorts or a maxi skirt that can be hiked up for the foot bath, expect to take your top off during the face-down back massage with oil portion. Don't expect your own private room. There are beds with curtains to separate people. If you come with someone they will set it up so you two can be next to each other, most of the time. They do get busy so I find it best to call ahead and make an appointment. There is always soothing music playing and the lights are dimmed to encourage as much relaxation as possible. The massage itself is the full body experience. Starting with the head, hands, arms, feet, legs, shoulders, and whole back. Feet will be soaked in warm water. Whatever massage lotions or oils applied will be wiped off towards the end with a warm towel so you don't leave feeling like a snail. Speak up if you don't like anything or if the pressure is too much etc. I like deep tissue massages & prefer the pressure on my muscles & knots! Since I've been a regular for years, they know where my knots are & work them out well. This isn't the usual bad & boujie fancy spa place but you get exactly what you pay for in quality service. After all that, they have you "turn over" face down and start massaging your back. If you're a female, I suggest you wear shorts and a tank top, so it's easier for them to put the lotion/oil on your back and legs. For men, they allow you to remove your shirt while you're faced down and give you a back massage. It's pretty relaxing, especially after a long work week, and it doesn't break your wallet. Make sure to tip them well though, because even though you're not getting a massage at a high end place, the massage therapists are actually doing hard work -- massaging you for an hour. My fiancé and I usually tip no less than $10 whenever we go. They've never hassled us for tipping more, but as a courtesy to them, we like to give bigger tips, because imagine, massaging someone for ONE FULL hour? That's exhausting! Bad customer service. Made an appointment on Wednesday to come in on Sunday (today) at 7:30PM for two people. When we came inside there was already 4 people waiting. I heard that they had an appointment at 715 & it was already 740PM. I Went in for a massage with my mother, we waited for 30 minutes before we were both taken to a massage bed. My mom had her feet in the water and then the lady from the front desk came in the back and said we couldn't both get a massage and that they didn't have enough beds for us. Weird because we were both already laying on a bed. She said she didn't know both of us were getting massages! Um excuse me we told you the amount of people when we walked in.
