I have been going there for over a year now, and they are always professional and welcoming. Lucy is the best! She really knows what to do for your body. We went for a foot and body massage 30 mins each. The room vibe is just normal. They were probably busy/ understaffed so they left 2 of us with hot water foot bath for about 20 mins. We were getting concerned about the time but then the masseuse arrived and began the foot massage. It was great. My previous experiences suggest that foot massage also includes some scalp and forehead massage but it was probably not included here. For the body massage, it was good, but one of us got the hot stones, the other didn't (lack of uniformity). There were 3 of them and everybody was sweet, but the place probably requires more professionalism in terms of customer service. read more

I get massages often and this was hands down the worst experience I had. The only reason it gets one star is because 1) I have to and 2) they allowed a walk-in. From the Indian rug burn feeling of not using enough lotion , to switching masseuses mid massage to an unwanted "package" grazing my hand (intentional or not ). Then the 90% of the massage was my shoulders only where it felt like crab pinchers. Next time I'll just rub my back on some tree bark and save my money. I'm so confused on people giving this 5 stars ... maybe they don't get massages ever or it's some secret erotic massage place and I just didn't know the passcode (not that I'd want that). You've all heard the saying, "when god closes a door he opens another" at some point in your life, right? Well.... how I came across Foot Spa is one of those stories. On November 1st (my birthday) I was having a particularly crappy day (I don't want to get banned on here for cussing so fill in the word crappy with whatever word you want) and not to sound like a sob story nor wanting anyone to feel sorry for me, but REM's song "Bad Day" would be an accurate statement of how my day was going. I thought a massage would cheer me up but I didn't want to pay $100+ for one and I'm always mindful of where I go, because I always have this inherent fear that I'll end up in a place that gives THOSE kinds of massages. I have absolutely no desire to get THAT kind of a massage, and the last thing I want is to have some deviancy charge if those places get raided. That being said I wanted to go to the Texas Center for Massage Therapy off Sherman St since they're cheap, but then I found out they're only open to the public on the weekends so I wasn't feeling too particularly stoked to hear that after having my already bad day. I've been to Pho Pasteur at Plano Rd and Beltline many times and I saw that a massage place had opened next to it, but I never got around to going so I figured why the hell not since I was in the area. Worst case, it wouldn't be good and the day would just continue on its course of sucking, or it would be great and would turn my day around. I went in and it was what I expected on the inside. A very nice receptionist that spoke broken English, Zen music playing, and a bunch of massage tables dispersed among three or four rooms in the back. When I left an hour later......... I was feeling amazing. The massage was awesome, and I felt leaving a hell of a lot better than when I came in both physically and mentally, and it's been so great I've actually been back once a week since then. When they're not busy, you can have your choice of a male or female member of the staff to give you a rubdown. I've had massages from several different members of the staff there both male and female, and I have to say they've all done a wonderful job. They start out by soaking your feet while massaging your scalp and temples. As a side note I will add one small warning... since they massage your scalp don't put too much of your time in fixing your hair and if you plan on going out afterwards bring some hair gel or a comb or whatever. Then they work on your arms and shoulders, take your feet out of the soak and work on your legs, then have you flip over on your stomach to work on the back of the legs and end by massaging your back. For $30, I dare you to find a better massage. This place gets a big thumbs up from me and I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone that needs or wants an hour of bliss. read more

First of all, I am a regular. I have been going here for two years. The spa is very clean and has a nice calming atmosphere. The entire staff is very professional. I always book with Esther (deep tissue) but I have had a couple of different therapists over the years. The rates are amazing- $98 for two hours and better than expensive spas at 4 x the rate. Agree with Shams! This place is a hidden gem. Have been twice and very happy each time with the most recent visit being better than the first. I like that the rooms are private and contain three "beds" each so me and my daughter had a room to ourselves. Everything seems just right, from the foot soak to the back massage. Before discovering foot spas I had been going to expensive spas, i.e. Canyon Ranch, Aquae Sulis...for years and while I still love the experience, pampering, ambiance, plush robes, saunas, pools, refreshments, etc., I always left wondering if I overpaid and felt like something was missing.
