Honestly, I didn't see the theater when it was all run down and shabby, so no comments about how it transformed after the remodeling. Never the less, I think it is a great little place to see a movie or two, and I drop in quite often. Now that the plaza around it has a couple more food choices, you can even make a night out of it : ) The theater is pretty clean, the staff are friendly, the seats are comfy, the screen is big, and the sound is great - pretty much everything you need to make it a great movie experience. Oh, yeah, obnoxious loud teenagers are also there, but they are everywhere (yes, even in Pasadena and Santa Monica)! The final touch is the ticket price - can't find less expensive than Regency. What's the chances of having 6 people in the theater and two are yacking. What's with that? We sat in the last row so no one would sit next to us. But these two nincompoops set right in front of us. Yes, I have asked him nicely to be quiet. I even moved to the front rows. But finally I told them to shut up. They remain quiet throughout the rest of the movie. Boo... Now I'm the mean person. Best prices, least crowded, most parking, near a lot of places to get something to eat.

I love this great local theater! Located close to a ton of food and desert options, and has plenty of parking. It's also relatively cheap...you can see new release movies for $9, much less than a nearby AMC or Edwards. The seats are comfy, and screens look great. If you come for a premeire, these screens are not massive, so the seating can be smaller and the tickets sell out quicker, but other than that, it's a great place to see a movie, and matinee's are only $7! read more

Cant believe this movie theater is still standing. This used to be a good theater to come to and watch movies until these gang members took over. I used to live in the area back in the day when it was peaceful and watch movies with my family. Came here not too long ago and it was less people during Covid. Customer service was good. We came inside and bought popcorn and soda and all the good stuff. Movie theater is clean and bathrooms were clean. Theater had popcorn and trash all on the floors. The theater really needs to fix the projection. I have seen so many movies in just about all 10 of the screens, and they are ALL soooo dim!!!! Every time I have to walk out to the concession stand and ask them to turn up the brightness and it never gets done. The screen is so dark the whole time that it never fails to make me pass out asleep because it's like being in a practically pitch black room! I was told you have to complain to corporate or hope they see your Yelp review to make any changes to the equipment. Manager said he is the projectionist and it's up as high as it will go but they are all broken. How can a theater continue to operate like this? That is the whole reason people come here...to see movies! And when you can hardly SEE them, kind of defeats the purpose. Please, please fix the projection lights!!!!! Typically, I don't go to the movies. I usually watch something on a streaming service or go buy a film. I'm a film buff, and I'm into the classics. But, when a movie like Avengers: Endgame comes out, I have to go see it. My go to theater is Arclight; I know it's expensive, but it's a solid theater besides AMC. I decided to go to Foothill Cinema 10 because it's within walking distance and a quick ride via my skateboard. Plus, I thought I'd give supporting my local theater a try. I met my girlfriend there, and we waited in line with everyone else for about 10 minutes. Just before we got to the ticket booth, an older lady came out and told me I couldn't bring my skateboard in, which I guess makes sense. It's not like I'm going to be kickflipping in the aisles or wallriding the movie screen. Maybe the company thinks I'd use my board as a weapon. But, by that logic, weapons are only a problem if you can see them; it's not like they're doing security checks at the theater, making sure people don't smuggle things in. I don't know. I asked the woman if there was a place I could leave my board, so I could still give the theater my money, probably around $50. That's two tickets plus snacks and stuff. But she said no. So my girlfriend and I went to Arclight, where we spent more money. Tickets there are pricier and so is the food. But they're not afraid of skateboards. My daughter decided she needed to see Ralph Breaks the Internet for her birthday, so we drove out to this theater instead of some of our other standbys like Studio Movie Grill in Monrovia. We got 2 large drinks and a large popcorn, which come with free refills according to the menu board. We were really early and let into the theater long before the movie started, but it's been out long enough where it's not an issue. Went into the theater and our kids housed the popcorn pretty quickly so my husband got the refill. Movie eventually starts and my husband again has to go find an employee to dim the house lights because they were just staying on. Movie ends and house lights never come back up. I was forced to find my belongings by cell phone light. We leave the theater and my kids want to play an arcade game. Having only $20 bills but not wanting $20 in quarters, I asked an older woman working at the snack bar if I could get change for the $20. She said they're not permitted to give change. Uhh...what? No referral to the box office instead. Literally no place at the theater is supposedly permitted to give change. What's the point of this arcade then? I go back to the snack bar and ask for a refill on the drinks and popcorn. The woman working marks off my receipt, crossing off the popcorn and drinks. I asked why she did that and she said it's because we used our available refill. I asked where on the menu board it says there's only one refill available and she said someone should have said it when we bought the items. They did not. Nor does the menu board say anything to that effect. It's interesting how the rules change when I, as a black woman, ask for something when those same rules weren't in effect when my white husband asked for the same thing (he refilled the popcorn prior with no marking off of the receipt or being told only one refill was available). Should have gone to AMC and saved the headache. Might be more expensive, but it's a better movie environment. And I'll be forwarding comments on my experience to corporate offices too. read more

Last night I took my daughter to watch the Movie Frozen around 8 pm. I had not been to this movie theater in years! I have lived in Azusa for over 20 years and I have to say I am truly disappointed with the Customer service. The guy taking our tickets at the door could at least pretend he liked his job and smile. Did not greet and worst of all did not tell us where to go for the movie. He checked my bag BUT did not check the two ladies before me. I asked him if he checks all bags he said yes.So they must have had wallets hanging on their arms. the 5 people I saw working the food area were just all unhappy to be there. Def not coming back. Recommend they change their attitudes because no matter how comfortable your recliners were, the service sucked so that just makes me not want to go back. read more

Sure, sometimes you get people that interrupt your movie with babies crying, family members yelling for others across the theater, but it doesn't happen as often like another yelper mentioned. It happens in other theaters. It's no Santa Monica or Beverly Hills theater. It's in the San Gabriel Valley. To continue on with other yelpers reviews, they have come a long way! Before it was a rundown movie theater with dirty floors and curtains. The restrooms were not clean. What a couple years of remodeling will do! It's a lot cleaner, the seats are better and the floor doesn't feel like it's all sticky! Someone mentioned the restrooms being on the 2nd floor, and yes I think it's a bit annoying too but HEY! It may help with America's obese epidemic problem. We are shoving popcorn and hot dogs down our throats while washing it down with a Diet Pepsi! So I'm going to go on a limb and say they are just looking out for our physical well being! lol Following up with the employees, I have to agree sometimes they look unhappy to be there (at times.) I tend to crack a lot of jokes with employees (anywhere I'm at) and with them it's either a hit or miss. They either laugh or they just give me that "I'm working" look while telling me "That will be $15.50 sir..." However, I won't hold it all against them. This is my closest movie theater and my favorite. The prices are very reasonable and crowds are usually not an issue. Two theaters have been recently renovated to have reclining leather seats. I really enjoyed these and felt that at $11 a seat it was a good deal. read more

Friend suggested going here to see a movie. We decided to see Shazam since it had good ratings. We purchased our tickets and went into the theater. It was very roomy and the seats were comfortable. Went to see Top Gun Maverick tonight !! First time at this theater and I must say it was easy to buy the tickets online , when I arrived they scanned tix on my phone . We were greeted nicely at the concession stand by a tall gentleman . He took my order and kindly served us . I chose Luxury seating and let me say the seats are super comfortable. It's very clean inside , great service , not crowded at all . This place is 10/10 . Also they did check my handbag at the entrance which I thought was wonderful because with so much going on in the world it made me feel safer. When the manager first came out she was very rude, she opened the door and didn't even say good morning. After that she came back out 5 minutes later and her attitude was way different she was very kind and outspoken. She even recommended the movie we should watch. We went to see a movie and missed a lot of the action because the projector was so dim and the aisle lighting was so bright. I could hardly make out who was doing what in the night time scenes. I notified a theater employee, and they came into the theater to check things out, but the projector remained dim and the theater lights remained bright. Yeah, Six dollar tickets before 5pm, which is so doable (not before 11:00am like the Glendora AMC) Clean, well-run, and download their Regency app to get free stuff. I got a small, but free, popcorn last time I attended. I am taking off 1 star, though, because my teen and her friends were treated rudely once by a manager here. I'd recommend coming to this theatre if you enjoy being talked down to by a rude older woman (I believe her name is Sharon). I enjoy getting to a movie maybe 30 minutes before it starts. Gives me time to take my young daughter to the restroom, buy snacks, get seats we like etc. So after purchasing our tickets for a movie about 30 minutes before start time, I see they have an arcade and ask my daughter if she wants to play some games before the movie starts. My girlfriend, my daughter, and I make it to the arcade when I hear a voice yelling at me. This older employee there is yelling at me in front of my kid because apparently we can't be in there that early. First of all, never yell at me especially not in front of my daughter. Secondly, what is the point of having an arcade if you don't allow people to use it? I tolerate a lot of crap because life isn't worth getting upset over petty nonsense but obviously I felt upset enough about this woman's horrible attitud9e that I'd like everyone to know. I've been back once since that day and everything was fine. All the employees were friendly. She obviously wasn't there. You get what you pay for. 9.00 a ticket for the LA area is really cheap. Elsewhere it's about 20.00 a ticket. The seats in the theater are average (outdated) the sound quality of the movie isn't all that great, and the picture is okay. They check you at the door for food and drinks. They're not allowed in the theater. I was holding a water bottle and the man refused to let me in. I told him I was pregnant, it's just water. He didn't care. He told me I could either finish it outside (an unopened bottle) or leave it in my car. He even went as far as to tell security I was trying to sneak in water. I went outside and hid it well in my purse and walked right back in. So ridiculous. I'm not going to cater to you people so I can buy your 5.00 snack size water bottle. Get outta here. Been going here for years, and i like the remodeled theater rooms and seats. Prices have gone up, but same can be said at other theaters, and this place is still the cheapest compared to others. Only reason i give 4 stars is because we always come for the early matinee shows and sometimes we are left waiting to buy our tickets as there's nobody at the counter when we get there, despite being open. The Regency Theatre is the only theatre I know (and I've been to a few) that offers 5 star customer service and movie quality while keeping prices low. Seriously. Hot dogs are nearly over $1, while others sell them for $4 or $5. Your refill is free if you get a large drink. Plus, the screens are bigger than those of AMC, while the tickets are much cheaper. One worker, Shirley, is the sweetest woman, and truly cares about her customers. All in all, I can thank the Regency for much of my fondest childhood memories. You'll enjoy it there. read more

2 years ago Straight Outta Compton came out. My friend wanted to go see it, so he picked me up and we were on our way. We ended up at Foothill Cinema 10 on 8/19/2015 to be exact. Everything seemed good at the beginning. Place was decently packed, we arrived a little early. Previews began to play on the screen. This went on for a very long time. 15-20 minutes. Then the previews stopped...and everyone inside the movie theater were wondering what was going on...10 minutes passed...then 20...then 45 minutes. Well over an hour the film did not play, employees did not come in given us a reason as to why, nor did they tell us they were trying to get the film from another room, that supposedly another employee had locked and they had no key to. This carried on until everyone in the theater was so unhappy, they all left. You would think that the process to get refunded or credit to another ticket would be easy, right? Wrong. A huge line stretched around the theater to get refunds on food/snacks and movie ticket. I was irate and wanted something done immediately. How dare they say I wait an additional 45 minutes to an hour just to get my money back. I yelled at one of the employees to give me the managers phone # (which I have uploaded a picture of, and blocked out the last two digits so he doesn't get a million calls). I figured i would deal with it later. Depressed from the entire situation of wasting more than enough time, paying for a ticket, not seeing a movie and not getting a refund (as I refused to stand in line). I really still wanted to see the film...we ended up driving to AMC Glendora paying additional money and made it to the last showing of Straight Outta Compton without problems or issues. I will never go back to this Movie Theater...terrible experience and I wasted time and money...and never got compensated. My advice (stick with a better Movie Theater, where the employees don't lock the film inside a room...so they cannot play the film that was intended to be shown. read more
