Super cute store and great friendly service. There is plenty of animal feed and also everything you could need for your dog, but also very cute and fun gift items. They had the Christmas trees out for sale and the salesman told me they keep them in water so they stay fresh longer which I haven't seen at other places and is way better for having your tree stay fresh longer. I have never dealt with a worse feedstore. MOLDY overpriced hay/ grain on MANY VISITS. This place used to be good, I've lived here and have used them for 9 years, it's now being ran by junkees and children who don't know a damn thing. They're more of a liability than a service. If you live in Loomis, then Foothill Feed is a microcosm for every single thing you love about this town. I love this place and love how supportive they are of the community. I saw a review about an incident that I happened to witness. I can say with 100% certainty that this is made up to justify an INSANE woman's behavior. Unhinged doesn't even begin to describe her behavior. I'm embarrassed that this woman lives in my town. If you know Foothill feed and have EVER met Nick, then you know. Foothill feed is the best. They just get crazy, deranged customers from time to time. It happens. I sincerely hope she starts shopping online more as she should not be around people. If I see this woman at the feed store again behaving in this manner, I will speak up. I should have done it that day, I was more shocked at her behavior. I made a special drive along taylor blvd in Loomis to check out a few new places. One of them was Foothill Feed and Gift shop. I love feed shops. Especially the smell. Honestly , I like the scent of dog products and horse products. I'm not sure if they have hay , but it could be that too? I enjoy looking at the products , reading labels and generally looking around. As I walk thru the horse section I do admit to myself that I know very little about horses, even though I was once bitten by one. I was treating the little guy like a dog. No hard feelings . Loved this store, lots of items for the home and western themed Jewelry . Mud boots that I took a second look at. Blankets for horses and tons of dog foods and accessories . Lots of everything. Even some licorice I was very tempted to buy , but I knew I would devour the whole bag. Once I read imported on the label I began salivating . I did not leave empty handed . My doggies got some new treats . Very nice place and warm inside . It was a cold overcast day, so stepping inside was heaven . Well worth a cruise over to explore . read more

We purchased chicks this past weekend and were pleasantly surprised by how knowledgeable and helpful the staff were. We needed recommendations on breed as well what supplies we needed and got just that. We were in and out quickly with everything we needed for a very fair price. Will definitely go back! This really is the only place I go for my animal needs. I had no idea what I was doing when I decided to get chickens a while back. I know it can be intimidating walking into a place (especially a feed store) and have no idea what to ask for. I pretty much explained that I was a city girl living in the county and need chicken food. LOL. The friendly staff went out of their way to ask all the right questions about the age of my chickens, what I was feeding them now, the breed, etc etc etc. At the time I was not aware that there was more than just "chicken food".. you had many options. They helped me pick out the right kind for what I needed and loaded up my car. I have never looked back. I cannot express how friendly the staff is every time I come... and now it has been about 3 years I have been going. They have never wavered on their customer service. Everyone there is so knowledgeable and always goes out of their way to help. I cannot recommend more highly for whatever pet/animal need you may have this place! read more

I've been going here for some time. They have a good selection of dog and horse feed. The gift shop is cute, very country, and reasonably priced. They guys that work there are very helpful. They will order you whatever you want if they don't have it in stock and not make a fuss about it (unlike some of the other stores around). I would rather give my business to them than any other feed store. read more

I was just at this feed store looking for chickens. They have all their chicks in stacked caged drawers the taller chick can't even stand up straight in these drawers they are placed in. A lot of them were trying to climb through the little slots to get out. Horrible read more

All the chicks I have gotten from them have been very healthy. Also they will break down the bigger bags that you may not want to buy bulk into 5lb bags. Like I had no need for a 50 pound bag of chick starter or Diatomaceous earth. Having them break it down into 5 pound bags was very helpful. read more
