My favorite part was easily the artificial creek running through the mall. They actually have trout swimming in it. TROUT! LOL. I don't think I've ever seen that inside a shopping mall before. The store selection is decent, with a mix of everyday and higher-end shops like Arc'teryx. They even have a Toys "R" Us, which was both cool and a little sad to see. I remember when Toys "R" Us meant an entire giant store, and now it's been reduced to a small storefront inside a mall. There's also a large fountain in the center that puts on a light show in the evening at the top of the hour. I wouldn't necessarily come here expecting a massive selection of stores, but between the architecture, creek, fountains, and overall atmosphere, it's a really nice place to walk around while exploring downtown.

Regardless of the reasons behind the policy, visitors and residents reasonably expect a downtown shopping center of this size and caliber to be open seven days a week--especially on a weekend day when people actually have time to shop, eat, and spend money downtown. Salt Lake City has become an increasingly diverse and cosmopolitan destination, and City Creek should operate like the major urban shopping destination it is. Closing every Sunday feels unnecessarily restrictive and out of step with what many customers expect from a modern downtown retail center.

Their online ordering system is terrible. We ordered something online to be shipped to the sugarhouse store. After weeks of hearing nothing, we went into the store as we couldn't track it on their website. The people in the store said they had no way to track it from there either and we would have to come back and speak to the manager the following day. We came back and spoke to the manager and they were of no use and said we would have to call customer service. In going to their website we got transferred around and sent to a bot. Finally got a phone number to call. Said we were 30 in line. Then it said we were 31, then it said we were 32, I've never seen a Q where the number goes up instead of down. So we requested a call back. Finally got a callback from a number that was listed as spam. They informed us that our order had been canceled. As the item was not in stock. We were never notified of anything. So.... We called around to several stores and found the item a couple of miles from our house. So go into a Michaels and enjoy looking at anything but if they don't have it they never will and for heaven's sake don't order anything online.

The Dan's employees line up their cars and give out candy and donuts, and all the other businesses decorate and give out candy... so awesome! The entire center is very clean, kid friendly, and there's definitely enough parking, even during events. I've been a regular up there since, especially when I found out they have great food trucks Fridays and Saturdays!!

Hoping it will eventually fill up soon. Such a neat location. My husband got to check out the train that you can see from the second floor. He appreciated the old car that was on display. It was his first time there and he had a fun time checking it out. Hoping the next time we come in there will be more stores and things to look at. Also some more dining options! But today's visit was great! The flowers were so pretty to look at inside and outside the venue. I look forward to coming back if we are in the SLC area again.

Even though there was not a special sale going on during our visit, it is always a treat to find past season Patagonia items at a discount. The store is clean, well laid out and well stocked, both with past season and current season items. Fitting rooms are spacious so you can try many items and still have room to check out all angles in the mirror. The staff is friendly as well. This time we had a jacket we needed repaired, so they accepted it to ship back for repair. Lots of parking is available in their lot.

If you catch it at the wrong time, good luck finding a place to park because the lot is tiny. Inside, the store isn't large, but it packs a punch for what it has. A lot of items are discounted 30% or 40% (or more, depending on the event). Some of the items are samples and/or irregular items, so the discount(s) can be pretty steep. One of the best parts of this is that for someone who is out of town, they will ship your purchase for free. So I always take advantage of that because why pack it in your luggage when they'll do that for you? It's a great outlet with pretty stellar deals and a great selection. 100% worth the stop.

So I tried to return them, which I thought would be simple because it was within 24 hours, I had the receipt, there was a clear discrepancy between what the box advertised and what was inside---but no. Absolutely would not give me a refund OR exchange, and they weren't very polite about it, either. Treated me as if I'd done something wrong, or underhanded!
