The kitchen was so slow and understaffed that we would wait it sometimes 40+ minutes to get food, several times someone in our party never got their food. Bear Lodge you've got to do better, it was such a poor experience. We stayed there July 2024. I don't normally leave bad reviews, but man oh man, this business needs help.

We ended up booking another room, (my husband and one stayed in one and my other son and I stayed in another) which was discounted but certainly not free due to their issue and process. Again, I would have made other arrangements had I been notified. Beyond this, the property is dated and all noises carry through walls. Do not stay here if you are in need of the specific room you booked. Stop in Buffalo or drive to Billings.

This time each dinner included a huge salad, meat, a starch - pasta, rice, etc. and a vegetable plus desert. Excellent and we didn't go away hungry. My favorite meal is breakfast and you get a wide choice of options including my favorite bacon and eggs. I booked Thursday thru Sunday and brought my 26 year old son along for the trip. Everything about our stay was perfect! the lodge and our cabin was clean, welcoming and comfortable. The food was excellent, and our fishing guide Chad was incredible. We caught dozens of fish over two days, and when coming back to the lodge at the end of the day we were welcomed by Cary and David with a cold drink and a great dinner. Cary and David provide guests with everything they need, and no detail is overlooked. I highly recommend the Bighorn Riverview Lodge and Cabins, it was perfect, and can't wait to go back!
