The owners of the franchise' can be a little cheap. I have purchased quite a few kids cones in my time, and from experience the DQ on Glenmore Trail is the most generous. This can make it very hard to figure out exactly how to order, if seating is self-service (it is), etc. it was insanely hot when we visited, for example, and while one day we were able to get larger glasses for water, the next they refused to give anything larger than a glorified shot glass...despite serving our mimosas in the same larger glasses. Overall it just read of a young team that was slightly disconnected and not overly concerned with customer experience, and that's something that made things take longer than necessary and put a slight damper on an overall wonderful experience.

But very little has changed inside this store since it was turned over. It stands as a constant reminder to... well... what it must have been like to be the only store in town. The floor area is pretty large, compared to many of the mom and pop strip mall operations. I wouldn't say the selection is dramatically different, though. The wine shelving isn't very high, so they can only carry so much. What I have noticed about this place is that the pricing is quite good compared to others in town. At least on the items I buy frequently. One wine in particular is priced the same as Superstore's liquorstore, and they are by far the cheapest around. This store's worth checking out for the value.

Thin shoestring style (elite choice), hot, crispy, and absolutely drowned in gooey cheese. I was already in love, but then came dessert. I ordered the strawberry cheesecake concrete and... I'm still thinking about it. Think DQ Blizzard but 1000x better. Fresh strawberries, tons of graham cracker chunks, creamy custard, whipped cream on top--straight up dangerous. We had the Freddy's burgers, fries of course and onion rings. Self serve pop and their signature sauce for free mind you of mayo and pickle - delicious. Ended the meal with the their famous custard. Must end each Freddy's with this. Want smash style burgers?!? This is it! Overall will be back again.
