We went for our anniversary this month. We previously went for my birthday in August. FM officially has the very best filet I've ever had in my entire life. I've had it twice now. I can't seem to order anything else. The first time I got it Oscar style. It wasn't worth the cost upgrade for the 2 table spoons of crab, but the filet literally melts in your mouth. This time I got the steak and potatoes filet dish but subbed the truffle sauce. It was freaking amazing. My husband loved both dishes he had over the two visits. Service was attentive and friendly both times. It's an exceptional fine dining experience without spending 300 bucks for 2 people.

An absolute gem! We had a reservation for this restaurant and boy oh boy it did not let us down. Great menu, great service and the food is AMAZING! This is an absolute must-do when you're visiting Maryville, TN.

First of all this was one my first fancy dining experience and I loved it! We had reservations for 3 at 7:30 and were seated maybe 10 minutes past our reservation time, which I'm not mad about at all. That's pretty quick and well worth that little 10 minute wait. The restaurant was dimly lit and played relaxing jazz music so I'd say it an amazing date night spot or a girls night out when you want to dress up. The service was amazing and I was NEVER without water. The waitress always ensured we were doing well and made sure the food was to our liking. The food was absolutely divine! I ordered the horseradish crusted grouper which I loved because it was seasoned to perfection and I enjoyed my portion size. My coworker ordered the shrimp & grits, she said it was really spicy (she's Hispanic) and too salty for her. She is pregnant though so idk if that plays a role in her taste buds. I'm absolutely going back but I'm debating on if I want to change up my order to try new things or stick to what I love!

The most delicious meal! My husband and I went out with a group a friends for Valentine's Day. We all had a great time. My husband isn't one for fancy restaurants much but when we left and he said that it was so delicious & was very full. He always thinks fancy = small portions, so he was happy it was not like that here. I got the scallop dinner and scallops are my favorite food to eat ever. They were so delicious. My husband said his duck two ways was great but one tasted better than the other. Each appetizer on the table was very delicious but the best was the truffle cheese. The bread provided on the table was so good dipped in the cheese as well! 10/10 experience here & will definitely be returning.

HANDS DOWN!!!!! The best restaurant in Tennessee!!!!! Everything from the goat cheese appetizer, duck two ways, aged steak, scallops to the blackberry cobbler, melts in your mouth. Our server was also top of the line. Thank you!

The entire experience was exceptional--from the service and ambiance to the rich sense of history and outstanding food. Our waitress, Jordyn, was absolutely phenomenal. She provided thoughtful explanations and spot-on recommendations. And the salmon? Easily one of the best I've ever had!

We celebrated our 44th Anniversary last night at Foothills Milling and as usual had a wonderful time. The food is always delicious and the presentation is just beautiful. Our server, Jordyn, was a delight. We started with the escargot, served on mushrooms, with a generous amount of butter and garlic. Jordyn bought us our breadbasket a little early in case we wanted to sop up the remaining butter once we finished the escargot. Who wouldn't? I had the Tempura Lobster Tails, served with Jasmine rice and baby green beans. Just wonderful. My wife had the Yankee Pot Roast, which was excellent and so generous she had enough for a lunch today. This is an outstanding establishment and we are blessed to have it in our town.

A lot of things could be approved, but the food was a MAJOR letdown. We had the pork rinds and pimento cheese for starters and it was so bland and flavorless. I had the duck two ways (which lacked flavor in both ways) and my boyfriend had the steak Diane which was overcooked, had a weird texture, and the sauce tasted like it had been sitting out all day. I will say the bread was the BEST part of the meal, the sweet bread and the focaccia were both tasty, but it's sad when that's the star. The service was nice, but not good enough for us to come back.

Still 5 star. Keep forgetting that this is there in Maryville and in my opinion, the food and experience is better than anything in Knoxville. Let me start with the cocktail: Winter Cosmo. I'm sure this won't be there the next time we make it out there, but I wish they could keep it on the menu and just change the name to fit the season. It was one of the best vodka drinks I've ever had. Appetizer: cheese dip and potatoes (Truffle fondue). Really rich - might have done well to get a lighter starter but it was so good. Fondue style. Mains: Steak & Potatoes and the Scallops over corn. I'll upload photos since they speak for themselves. Like my previous review, stick to what you like and it will be the best [insert choice] you've ever had. Also wanted to note how us hungry people really appreciated the amuse bouche which was basically fried cheese :)

I went with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday . My first time but their return visit. Friends had my hopes high. I was not disappointed! Excellent everything. Service was impeccable. Small details made the meal special. I won't ruin the surprise for you. Everyone was very happy with their selection. I must say try the blackberry cobbler.

Ask the Community - Foothills Milling

I have heard people say this is one of the better seafood restaurants around. We love Chesapeakes, opinions?

Foothills Milling is fine dining. They are fresh and delicious, but not a seafood restaurant. I'd bet their seafood is fresher than Chesapeakes. Hard to compare the two though because they are in different leagues.

My husband and I came here for lunch on a Thursday and had our baby with us. Walking in we were warmly greeted by the hostess and brought to our table. She asked us if we wanted a low table or a high table and if we needed a sling or a high chair. Our server immediately came over and got our drink order and let us look over the menu. Their menu has a lot of really good options from sandwiches to pizza and hamburgers. I decided on the Italian beef sandwich and my husband got the Halas Burger. The food came out extremely fast and was hot and fresh. My sandwich was a roast beef sandwich with onions, peppers and cheese dipped in au jus and severed with a side of au jus and Giardiniera. It tasted great. The flavors all went really well together and the giardiniera added a great crunch and slight heat to the sandwich. I got onion rings as my side, which were hot and crunchy. The Halas burger was a burger patty topped with an onion ring, mozzarella and boom boom sauce. The patty was well cooked and fresh. With the onion ring and everything else it was a great burger. The fries that came with it were hot and had good flavor. Windy City is a great lace to come and get some good food. I can definitely see it being a great place to watch a game and have a drink or two with friends or coming and just grabbing some food and hanging out with friends or family. We will definitely be back to try more things.

We shared the house salad with the creamy feta dressing. It was yummy with local fresh heirloom tomatoes and plenty of mozzarella. They have an extensive menu, but I had the pizza last time, which was really good, so both my husband and I ordered pizza this time as well. His was a 14" hamburger and bacon with traditional tomato sauce. Mine was a 12" Alfredo base sauce with ham, bacon, onion, black olives, and spinach. I typically eat gluten free as a preference to help with my inflammation, but they use a sourdough crust that is more easily digestible. The pizza was delicious; crispy at the back but just chewy enough to not be too crunchy. Our server did a great job taking care of us, bringing refills without us having to ask, and checking in frequently. The atmosphere is cool, having things local to Tennessee. It's a bit of a sports bar feel with plenty of big screen TVs on the walls with different games on. The kitchen is open and you can watch them hand toss pizza crusts and see the pizza oven, and the fired grill. Overall, we'd give it 4.5 stars and definitely go back again!
