This was around my 3rd trip here - solid 4/5 experience. The outside is awesome, and the inside is very clean. The staff has been generally friendly and helpful each time I've been there without any issues. The food has been a little hit or miss, with some items coming out not fully hot or the meat slightly overdone to what was requested. Not a big deal - I work nearby so I hope to continue to come here and enjoy the experience! My favorites so far are the chicken BLT and the tuna dish they have, both delicious! SYOY! We visited Corner 16 at Kroger Park Drive. I hate to say it, but it was a very disappointing experience. The only good thing I can say is that the servers were extremely nice and friendly and actually care about their customers. The food, however, is a different story. The "steakhouse potatoes", which we thought would be wedges or mashed ranch style potatoes, were actually like a Kroger brand box Julienne potato mix. They tasted straight from the box, only really watered down. :( The dressing was a generic stove stop stuffing. It had no flavor at all and you could clearly tell that it was a cheap boxed dressing. I honestly could have made better boxed dressing at home. Just not a great visit, especially when you are spending over $50 on a meal. :( Sad to say, we won't be back again. read more

After three nights camping in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, I took a quick day trip to Knoxville and stopped in at Corner 16--and I wasn't disappointed! I had the salmon salad, which was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I needed to refuel after several long hikes. The outdoor patio was perfect with a refreshing breeze and ideal weather, while the inside décor stood out with quirky, one-of-a-kind decorations. The highlight of my visit was my engagement with Jeannie, a manager filling in for the day. She went above and beyond--giving me a tour of the restaurant, making sure my food and service were excellent, and even sharing a fun detail about the décor. She explained that kids sometimes leave toys behind, and the owner places them on shelves--dinosaurs, tractors, and other little "Easter eggs" for guests to discover. Such a creative touch that made the atmosphere even more memorable. I've also visited some of their other concepts, like Chesapeake's, and the consistency in quality and hospitality is impressive. Even though we live closeby for almost a year we'd never been to Corner 16. We decided to go there for dinner last night and we were blown away with the quality of our food and the service was great! Our server was Craig and he was very knowledgeable and helpful (also patient) when we asked about some choices on their menu. The general manager Ted came by and introduced himself and inquired about our meal. Ted and Craig made us feel welcomed and wanted to make certain we had a positive dining experience. Corner 16 is off my list of restaurants that I recommend. Had some people in town for the game Saturday and took them for dinner after the game. They had never been to a Corner 16 restaurant. I told the waiter when we sat down that I wanted the check for the whole table. The waiter allowed my guest to pay at the register behind my back. Dear Copper Cellar family of restaurants, learn to know your customer and you should have listened to the customer clad in orange and white and not the one wearing crimson. I'm guessing the tab for dinner was about $200 for the table. Good luck getting that again next year, because Alabama won't be in town. In the mean time, you pissed off a loyal customer who has always recommended the Copper Cellar family of restaurants. It isn't a lot of money to you. I probably only spend about $5,000 a year with your chain, but I am done. I will still take lunch at Chesapeake's West because I know the bartender, Suzy Cole, will follow my requests and treat me well when I am there. Meanwhile, Corner 16, which is only a mile from my house, you will lose out the most. I hope the corporate office gives you some training sessions on identifying your client base. Went there for the first time yesterday and was really happy with the food. Waitor realized we would be there for a bit to chat/catch up and allowed us to leisurely order. I got jalapeño poppers (kind of greasy but still good - highly recommend) and 7oz sirloin and onion rings (best sirloin I've had in awhile). The steak was very tender, great flavor, and nicely marinated. Didn't require A1 sauce which was great. I wish they would have gave appetizer plates for sharing appetizers. I have been a lover of onion rings for the past 50 plus years, but I've never found onion rings quite like these in both substance and taste. Corner I6 onion rings are indeed, hands down, positively, absolutely, unequivocally, unquestionably, unreservedly the best I have ever tasted!!!! These are not your run-of-the-mill oily or greasy kind. They are not the kind where you take the first bite and the entire onion slips out of the ring, leaving you with nothing more than a breaded ring in your hand. They are delicately breaded in a wonderful battered mixture of spices that is guaranteed to tantalize even the blandest palate. I could go on and on in my description, but you get the picture. To complement my onion rings I ordered the Wedge Salad which also belongs in a premier category all its own. The serving size is at least a third of a head of lettuce with outrageously tasty bleu cheese dressing and bleu cheese crumbles topped with delicious bacon pieces. First visit to this location. We were seated right away outside since it was a beautiful night. Service was quick to see us and took drink order then on to dinner. I decided to try the turkey and dressing with a side of cream corn. The dinner was great and loved the cream corn. The outside area is unique with a large pavilion area in the middle with roof and garage type doors that can be closed if it rains or cold. Three sides are extra tables and play areas for adults and kids. Corn-hole boards set up in two of the areas. Also have a couple of fire pits outside. Inside is very nice. Great place to bring friends or family when in the area. Also good if you have younger kids cause you can turn them loose outside in their area. We will be regulars here. read more

Went with a big group for a friend's birthday party. We got there and everyone else was already seated. The hostesses had no idea if our party was there and were like "just look around". We found everyone outside. Ordered our beverages after about 15 minutes and ordered some appetizers shortly after. The rest of the group had ordered appetizers prior to us getting there and those still took a good while. They were delicious (the fried green tomatoes were good, stuffed jalapeños, cheese and sausage appetizer and the loaded tots) and I ordered an avocado awesome burger not realizing it was a veggie burger. It was underwhelming when it arrived. 3 tiny slivers of avocado and giant pieces of onion not even fitting into the bun. I even tried to fix the onion before I took a picture of it and it still looked sad. It would probably have tasted better if it was hot and not mildly warm with congealed pepper Jack cheese on it. The macaroni looked like it was stacked on top of another and flat on the top and pretty cold too. Fortunately my kids were too busy playing outside with the big exercise balls and some other kids that were there so they didn't notice it was squished and cold. (I tried to mix it up a bit so in the picture the flat part on the left is what it all looked like when it arrived at our table.) Overall, the appetizers were good. My dinner was mediocre so I am giving 4 stars (rounded up from 3.5) for the benefit of the doubt since we had a large party. If it was just us and my food took that long and my meal was so mediocre I would give it 3 stars. The rating on this restaurant boggles me. This was clearly a 5-star shindig for me. The steak was perfectly cooked, the fried green tomatoes were crispy (and not greasy) and the potatoes had a wonderful smoky flavor and creamy texture. My wife's sandwich looked awesome as well, it was packed full of high-quality deli meats. They have Smoky Mountain Brewery selections here, and my IPA was great. Our server was friendly, attentive, and the food came out as fast as could be expected for a table of seven. Everyone at my table enjoyed their meal, even my picky 6-year-old. Absolutely love the atmosphere here! I had the fried pickles as an appetizer and fell in love with them. Most places do the pickles disks. Not Corner 16, they do pickles spears! Yum yum yum. For lunch I ordered the brisket nachos and unfortunately was very underwhelmed. The chips themselves were over salted, the beer cheese was pure liquid, and the brisket was in just giant chunks. I eat nachos almost everywhere I go and these were definitely not worth the money. I wish I had known and I would've gotten something else. I'm obsessed with the kid friendliness of the gated in turf, but the food doesn't do much for me. The onion rings are excellent and the wings are decent. Everything is just so unhealthy, even the salad options, and the Caesar was repellant in odor and flavor. They need to go back to the drawing board with that dressing. This place just can't get it together. I just left from there on a Thursday evening with my 13yo son. We waited over an hour on 2 burgers and that was after waiting for almost 15 minutes just for them to take a drink order. The restaurant was not full at all but they have very limited parking so we had to park in the back and walk around to the front entrance. I can't begin to imagine what it would be like if they were busy. This is not the first time going here and experiencing this type of service. This Chase property is in the massively-remodeled Ruby Tues bldg just off Northshore at Pellissippi, around from Kroger. Plenty of parking and seating. Great food ---try the tomato pie!!
