This place isn't just for a "grilled cheese". It's several unique takes on a grilled cheese. And it didn't disappoint. At all. I had the Alabama one (I forgot the full name) and it was melty and hot and yummy. Paired with a side of Mac n cheese - extra good. Blueberry lemonade to drink. All their food is made to order. So they're served hot. They have some comfy seating in the front plus bar stools. More traditional tables and chairs in the back room. I came for a Saturday lunch and it was quiet. Plenty of parking in the area. Next time I'm in Maryville I will stop in for another grilled cheese. It was just so good. read more

I stopped by for some dinner tonight while attending the 3rd Thursday event. I got the Ricky Ricardo, which is a variation of a Cuban sandwich. I also got a cinnamon roll to go. The sandwich was pretty good. I prefer a more classic tale with pork and ham versus deli ham and bacon but it was not bad at all. The shop and eating area is really cute. I like that the sandwiches are prepared when you order so you can customize anything if you want to. The cinnamon roll was hugely disappointing. The bottom portion was totally raw dough but the top that was fully cooked was way too dry. I love grilled cheese sandwiches and I liked that they sold cheese curds so I'd probably give this place another try. Service was also friendly, which is a plus. read more

I so wanted to love this place. I went with a friend on a Sat. afternoon. Not crowded at all and the shop is adorable. The staff is very friendly. I ordered the Blackberry Smoke. I was fully expecting a mouth-watering combo of sweet, salty and savory. I did not taste any of the blackberry jam even though I could see it was on there. Smoke was the sandwich's primary flavor profile. A bit much for me. I think my biggest issue was the globs of fat that made their way into my mouth. It was a big turn off and I did not finish the 2nd half of my sandwich. My friend got the Ricky Ricardo (which would have been my 2nd choice). She could not bite through the tough meat. I do recommend you give this place a try though. I will definitely revisit and try a different sammy. read more

Cute place, but awful food. This was honestly the worst Reuben I've ever had. Bread was hard and burnt. Virtually no meat or sauerkraut. One bite and the one sad little piece of meat came off. The iced tea tasted old, like it had sat for days. I really wanted to love this place. My son and I went there for lunch today, I ordered one of their salads and my son got the classic grilled cheese. His grilled cheese was ok, my salad was so tiny, it is $10 and it looked like a side salad- no dressing comes with it. I asked them to leave cheese and croutons out (because of food sensitivity) and still it came with. When I asked them to remake it, I was given dirty looks from both ladies that worked behind the counter. I love that Maryville is getting more options for eating out, but customer service is spiraling down. I dislike when they ask for tips ahead of time. What are the tips for? Taking my order? You serve yourself, you clean after yourself. I go to Kroger and pick up my groceries and the person loads it in my car without a tip, how is this any different? We need to stop throwing money on service that doesn't deserve it. How will they ever improve? read more

I stopped by earlier without realizing it was booked for a private party. The owner never said they were closed, took my order and prepared it with a smile on her face the entire time. I've been stalking this food truck online for over a month in order to find a convenient time & location to try these sandwiches out. Today the stars finally aligned and I was able to swing by while they were set up outside the Blount County Library. There was a decent line to order, and then a 10 minute wait while our order was prepared. Then... heaven! My sister and I split the Reuben and the Ricky Ricardo so we could each try two items. And because we couldn't choose just one! My sister said the Reuben was "to die for" and I personally thought the Ricky Ricardo made my tastebuds dance and sing. Any time I pass the truck with friends that day they've never had it, I make sure to pull over and order the Blackberry Smoke for them to try.. absolute game changer. Even people who aren't crazy about grilled cheese like I am have loved how perfectly savory and sweet it is! The blackberry jam with bacon and jalapeños, covered in melty cheese and buttery bread?? I have no shame in admitting the sole reason I sought out this food truck, was their name. There was an amazing grilled cheese food truck in Miami and I had to know where REO rated in comparison, I would put them right on par. I asked a couple of people what the must have item was and was told the Blackberry Smoke, this is comprised of smoked provolone, blackberry jam, jalapenos and bacon. I didn't feel confident in that suggestion so I opted for the Old Fashioned while my friend got the Blackberry Smoke. As good as mine was, after trying my friends' grilled cheese, I wish I had listened to the recommendations. They do a monthly specialty, September's was ham, swiss, egg, spring mix and banana peppers. You can add bacon or double the cheese on your grilled cheese for only a dollar more, which is also the going rate for chips or a drink. read more
