In the past I've gone with cheaper people but things always ended up being done wrong and breaking later. His price felt reasonable while still not being too too cheap, and it is worth it for good quality work that even comes with a year warranty! I got a few quotes from Yelp and Jose from Tellez Landscaping came out to give us an estimate. Of all the landscaping companies I spoke to, Jose at Tellez was by far the most professional and knowledgeable. His approach was chill, not pushy at all and very generous with his time. He met me at a nearby nursery to look at some trees that we were thinking of planting - this is even before I committed to have them do the job. I really appreciated that. Jose really knows his stuff. He has a wide range of knowledge about plants and trees, how to care for them, construction etc. He told me they could complete the job in a week or so, and they were able to meet their deadline. Communicating with Jose was quick and easy. We texted back and forth without any delays in-between. He was quick to reply and answer any questions. He sent me 3-D pictures of what the job would look like before they started the work so I could decide where I wanted concrete, trees, grass etc. They took payment in installments as the project progressed. I have a couple regrets but both are things that were within my control and I could have avoided with more effort on my part - not Jose's fault. I'm not really happy with the quality and color of the artificial grass that was installed. I should have insisted on seeing the actual grass before it was installed. But since I wasn't living in the area, I settled on seeing it in a picture which isn't the same thing as seeing it in person. Also, I don't love the color or pattern of the flagstone that was laid. Again, I should have insisted on seeing more detail on the type of flagstone and how it would be laid out. My bad. Live and learn. It was an expensive venture, but they did a TON of work. They worked very hard to make the deadline and they did an excellent job. Very little to complain about, and for those reasons I would recommend them for landscaping in the area. We asked Jose and his crew to come back periodically for yard maintenance so we're happy to continue to work with them. I'll update my review in the future, and as the trees and plants mature, I'll add some pictures.

The toilet got clogged but we tried all the DIY tactics to unclog a toilet! From the plunger, to pour down hot water, and using dawn soap.... And nothing worked so we contacted different plumbing services but decided to go with zoom drain! Zoom drain is great because it is 7 days a week and they respond very quickly!!! Aden responded so fast in regard to the schedule and the technician! At first, Aden scheduled a technician to come the next day! Also, Aden scheduled me for the same day in case a technician gets the availability to do so! Later that day, Maurice called me saying he is available and he came in the next 30 minutes! He came and he explained the steps he will perform, he also explained other options he could perform if he doesn't solve the issue! He also wore booties over his shoes which was cool! The service he performed was using a huge 6 ft snake tool to remove the items as well as push whatever was slowing down the pressure of the water! Maurice successfully hooked the sunglasses, as well as clearing the whatever was blocking the water pressure! Overall, the service costed me $216 which sucks but knowing the problem was fixed was a relief! Maurice was a cool dude, very nice, professional and No BS, glad he came and fixed the issue! He does a good job walking you through a balance for your budget, not overselling you for his gain, but also direct if your dreams come with a price that might run you out of your budget. Second, his crew is amazing!! His lead, Martin, is a dream to work with. Whenever we wanted something just so, he always agreed and found a way to make it happen, never once making us feel our request was too much or annoying. If he ran into roadblocks, he brought us out to review them and consider options if the ground/slope or something was impacting our ask. His crew was respectful, used their portable facilities, and did an almost perfect job picking up after themselves each day. Third, the patience of all people involved was commendable. Taylor, his crew, and his subcontractors from concrete to electrical were very respectful, communicated well about their portion of the project and answered questions/addressed concerns as they came up. Our project did run over on time, but it was due to weather constraints and unforseen issues with our terain on a hillside. Surprisingly and as much as safely possible, the crew worked on inclination days to try to meet the quoted deadline as much as possible. When they couldn't come, that was well communicated. Now, everyone can use some constructive feedback and the one thing that stood out to us was that we would've like receiving the couple of supplement bid items we asked about a little sooner. You need to keep in mind that if you ask his crew to deviate from your original scope, they will move forward on it and you will have to pay for the change, as you should. So, if you're uncertain how/if your requests might impact your scope/bid pricing, loop in Taylor before his crew. The only other pickup we experienced was picking out materials and the stone place had put them back before Taylor picked it up. When picking your own materials, we found we had to check-in with Taylor a couple times regarding reminders for that. Despite our constructive feedback, considering the overall project and experience as well as our experience with other contractors, TC Landscaping gets a solid 5 star from us. We will consider using them again for our needs and referred them to family. Our family experienced a similar outcome, consistent with ours when adding a redwood staircase up a very steep slope and some other yard beautification.
