Dave at Planet Greener Painting just finished up a job at my house. He stained our fence, painted our garage door and stem wall of our new house. I don't know what it is about COVID but getting a response from painters was so difficult. Dave responded to my inquiry within 24 hours and within 72 hours I had a bid for the job. Dave's bid was not the cheapest but I got the best vibes from him. I have been burned in the past by always going with the cheapest bid, you usually get what you pay for. Dave did an amazing job in a very short amount of time. I had him paint the interior of a rental property I'm in the process of preparing for sale, and he came recommended thru Home Depot's recommended list of painters. His bid was competitive, showed up when he said he would, and got the job done on schedule. Not only did we need paint, but he also took care of some dry wall repairs, including replacing a section of ceiling where the AC unit had dripped water thru and cause the dry wall board to sag. 5 stars for David and Planet Greener Painting Co!! I called many painting companies listed on Yelp to paint my outdoor fence which encloses my backyard and obtained 2 other quotes. I chose David because he stood out the most and was the most enthusiastic to do the job. He was immediately available and gave a very competitive quote. He was the only painter who offered to powerwash the fence prior to painting. After speaking with Sherwin Williams he initially recommended primer and paint. However after a great amount of research we decided to go with a waterproof solid stain from the Home Depot. He started and finished the job in 1 week. He was careful to remove rocks and mulch away from the fence and even cut down weeds with a string trimmer. In addition he repaired a broken 2x4 section for a nominal price. The fence looks great and will be more durable against the elements and hopefully not need repainting for many years. I only have positive things to say about him. David was great at communicating with me daily. He is a man of integrity! read more

When planning our kitchen remodel, we quickly realized that we wouldn't be able to afford getting our cabinets resurfaced. I was skeptical about having them professionally painted until Dave @ Planet Greener Painting showed us photos of one of his completed jobs (garage cabinets) & they looked fabulous, like brand new cabinets! His quote was very reasonable & he described in detail the depth of the work his crew would be doing & an estimate of how long the job would take. After a couple hiccups with their initial start date (he had to take care of another customer, which was causing delays), his crew was always on time & took extra care in protecting our kitchen & backyard from over spray. WARNING...RUN! Dave started off being personable until the work started. We had him come to our house to provide us a quote to paint the interior of our newly purchased 1900 sq ft empty single story home. He quoted us $3,300 we thought great price and hired him. One hour into the first day on the job he text me that there is more work then he thought and the price jumped $1,800!!! He claimed he would have to sand all the wood work (doors, window sills). We questioned him as to why this wasn't captured when he came to give us a quote? He danced around his response (this should have been our first clue he was shady). Even though we disagreed with his business practice we agreed to proceed with the job. 5 business days later he texts me the job is complete and would like payment. I told him we would need to do a walk through first. We walked in our house and could not believe our eyes! The sloppiest incomplete job I've ever seen. I called him immediately. He agreed to come to the house the next morning. I walked him through each room. He got defensive and made it out to be no big deal. After going rounds with him he said he would make it right. By the end of that day he calls saying everything is done. I told him I wanted him there for the walk through. It did look better but there was still a lot of touch up needed. As we went through the house he would make snide remarks like "are we done yet?" Dave is not only unprofessional with no customer service or communication skills. His behavior is equal to a 'punk'.
