I would strongly advise anyone considering AYP Training to think twice before sending their dog…read morethere. After having our dog for 24 days, it became very clear there was a complete lack of communication, professionalism, and understanding of our living situation. We live in a high-rise condo, yet somehow they spent weeks training our dog to go outside in a backyard setting -- something that does not apply to our home at all. How this was never clarified during nearly a month of training is beyond concerning. What's even more upsetting is that our dog came back terrified of car rides, which was never an issue before. As owners, that is heartbreaking to witness. After reviewing the videos and conditions of the trainer's home, we were honestly shocked. The house appeared trashed, chaotic, and nowhere near the professional environment we were promised when paying for "professional" dog training services. Nothing about this experience reflected the level of care, structure, or quality that was advertised. We invested a significant amount of money trusting this company with our dog, and the results were disappointing from start to finish. Between the misrepresentation, poor communication, and lack of professionalism, this experience felt extremely misleading. Save your money and do your research before trusting this company with your pet.

Dee came out to our house to give initial obedience lessons (actually, to train us!), and we followed up with group lessons at their facility. It's a great opportunity to drill in the basics, learn strategies to get your dog paying attention to you, heel, walk on a leash without pulling, follow basic commands. Attending the group sessions is also wonderful for socializing your dog. Beyond the basics they have agility training and other advanced classes. AYP also has excursions like a beach day... we're hoping to catch that with our current foster dog Velcro!

WARNING: Unsafe for Pets - Avoid SOMI Pet Resort at All Costs!…read more I never thought I'd have to write a review like this. We've boarded our beloved family dog at SOMI Pet Resort many times--and we've always tipped generously ($20+) and trusted them with our furry family member. But this time, they broke our trust in the most heartbreaking way. After returning from a week-long vacation, we were overjoyed to reunite with our pup--until they suddenly TOOK HIM BACK from us! Why? They claimed our card payment was declined... despite the $880 charge clearly showing as processed on our phone (+ 15% TIP). They refused to even look at the confirmation and offered zero options or courtesy before heartlessly whisking our dog away to a kennel like a piece of luggage. This was not just poor customer service--this was cruel and unethical. No effort to resolve the issue. No request for another form of payment. No humanity. Just swoosh--your dog is ours until THEY prove you paid. Key point here is the THEY have to prove that you paid - not YOU need to prove. Never again. This isn't just bad service--it's inhumane treatment of both animals and customers. Shameful policies No communication Hostile front desk Emotionally traumatic DO NOT leave your pet here. #SOMIPetResort #PetBoardingFail #PetParentsBeware #CoralGablesPets #BadService #PetLovers #AnimalCruelty #NeverAgain #UnethicalBusiness #MiamiDogOwners #PetSafetyMatters #SlimyPetResort #PawsOffSOMI #PetCareNightmare

Took our dog away from us and held him hostage for payment - beware of this establishment…read more We've been taking our dog here for years. We always tip generously. Went to pick puppy up this weekend after a week-long stay. $880 plus a $125 tip. Super expensive, but we always thought it was money well spent because our dog is like a child to us. Anyway, card gets processed by bank but shows declined at resort. Weird, but I can see why as it was almost $1k. Long story short, as soon as the card gets declined they take my dog and lock him up in a secret room where I can't see him. I'm like, where did he go? Instant response was you can't have the dog until payment goes through. This despite paying thousands of dollars in fees and tips over the past several years. We were instantly treated as degenerates. Did not matter that my bank showed it processed on my phone. I mean, I don't carry $1k in cash on me, so it felt like they were going to keep the dog until I could find the cash. They could not care less. 100% about the money and absolutely no bedside manner. Was very hurtful seeing my dog taken away from me. We loved this place. So sad we got treated this way. To address response by "Sam": 1. One (not multiple) card attempt was declined. My bank now shows that I paid your company twice. We have not been refunded for overpayment. 2. Our dog was removed from my possession for one reason - to secure payment. It was a snap reaction by your staff to the card being declined. 3. Manager did not attempt resolution - he just explained it was your policy to keep the dog. That's not a resolution, that is heavy-handed business. 4. A manager called us once and, like a judge, said he would need to hear both sides to determine who was at fault. Since then he sent a text admitting SOMI was at fault. Please do not try to sugarcoat this - you did wrong and need to own it.
