Margarita pizza and kimchi macaroni are delicious. It is a cute, quirky restaurant with communal seating sometimes. But the 2 times I've been here it's super loud and it's hard to talk to the server and people at the table. read more

The food and beer were good, especially for Rochester. However, halfway through our meal, the waitstaff started removing tables, chairs, and couches from the room we were in. By the time we finished, we were alone in the room with one other couple and no other furniture. The restaurant closes at 11:00, and it was only 9:30, but we felt pressured to leave. There were still plenty of people eating and drinking in other rooms, but we left instead of giving them any more of our money. Incredibly rude and unprofessional. read more

Great restaurant! Fun atmosphere and good food!! The Kimchi mac and cheese is definitely my go to! The pizzas are good but not the best I've ever had. The veggie burger is also pretty tasty as well. Overall, this is a fun atmosphere for a date or just hanging out with friends or family. read more

Enjoyed going to Forager. I had a build your own pizza and it was excellent, hot and delicious. The beer was very good and the atmosphere great. read more

The pizza is amazing and the Mac and cheese is out of this world. Great food and they really have created a great atmosphere to unwind after a long work week. read more

Great food, great brews! Love the atmosphere, friendly staff. Love the unique spin on pizza and other dishes.

Food was rather good. I had the Bahn Mi sandwich which was tasty. The beer was decent, but a little expensive in my opinion. The main dislike I had was that it was very loud and my group and I had to nearly yell for each other to be heard. Along with this there was only two waiters working so the time to be served on was a little longer than it should have. I would give it a 3.5 if I could, but I can't so I'm doing four stars. read more

Attended their first ever shrimp boil on June 28th. Lots of room for improvement. They should have limited tickets, since they couldn't keep up with the amount of people there. Not worth $35/person. It was all you can eat, but they couldn't get the food out very quickly. The potatoes were cooked in the first batch. Hard as a rock with the next batches. Shrimp got smaller as the batches came out. 6 at our table. Two little pieces of corn with the second batch. read more

My husband and I have loved Forager since the first time we ate there last year. So we decided that we would like to have our small wedding reception held in The Pantry. I emailed to inquire about it and began talks with the owner, Annie. She was great to work with, helping me make the reception everything I hoped it would be! We had a friend play some acoustic guitar while apps were served. And we even got to make space for a small dance floor after dinner. The food was delicious, the service amazing, and our guests loved it. All of the staff were very accommodating and flexible when catering to our vision and our guests. I would not hesitate to recommend Forager to anyone looking for tasty food, good beer, and a great ambience. read more

Very neat restaurant/coffee shop. I have only eaten in the restaurant, however. The atmosphere is very fun, with lots of art throughout. Both times I've ordered the pizza and have greatly enjoyed the fresh taste, and the fact it was brought out hot. There is a lot of unique, fresh ingredients on the menu. I look forward to trying other items in the future. read more

Your paying for the atmosphere in my opinion but it is a pretty neat place. Beer is average for a micro brewery and although we have been there several times have never tasted a beer we loved. Food is pretty good but pizzas are overpriced for what they are. read more

I would have given this place 1 star if it were not for the ambiance and decor of the restaurant. Otherwise, the food sucks-super salty and not tasty at all. Seems like they are trying really hard on their menu but none of the items seem appetizing to begin with. Oh and the service is extremely slow. read more

Cool atmosphere but the food is not great and the customer service is lacking. I am not one to write negative reviews but we've been here multiple times and tried several of their pizzas, fries, and the soba noodle dish, and were not very impressed with any of it. Tonight the service was notably slow and the waitress was quite rude. I don't think we'll be coming back. read more

The beer here is average and the food is very yuppy oriented. Portions small an weird menu items.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is fantastic, but the food was okay. The Mac n Cheese with kimchi is a complete misnomer, as the pickled cabbage included is not in the style of kimchi whatsoever (i.e. No spice at all. It wasn't even red like all the Korean kimchi I have seen). There were also carrots included with the pasta, which was odd and did not fit. I would just get the dish without the "kimchi" and get it with bacon instead. The pizzas were good, particularly the Margherita pizza, but some of the custom pizzas ordered were under seasoned and the goat cheese was not great quality. read more

Love the space, staff, and beer. Food is good but a wider range could help freshen things. This has become a standard and a major turn to the local scene. Nicely done. read more

This is the third time I have visited Forager's. I really want to like it - every time - but I just don't. I feel like they are trying to pull off hipster trendy food without the chef and expertise to make it work. My daughter and I had the pulled mozarella which we expected to be a melty delight. What we received as a barely lukewarm disc of mozarella served on top of beets with a quarter loaf of crusty bread. Not warm - not melty - not delicious. Oh the bread was good. For our entrees we each ordered pizza - mine was okay - not awesome. My daughter's was worse - the sauce was cold. What the heck. Just yuck. During our hour dining we saw two parties leave not entirely satisfied and one group who didn't even stay when they were told coffee selections were not available. They were looking for dessert and coffee. Forager's loss. So my biggest complaint - wanna be cold food. Either do it simple or do it right. Our waitress was fabulous. The host a little crabby and clearly disgruntled when patrons seated themselves - although seating was more than ample. I keep giving this place a chance but I think time is up. To be noted - my daughter loved everything about Forager including her pizza. read more

Finally a restaurant in Rochester that Rochesterites can be proud of! After a slew of highly disappointing and so-so additions to the evolving food scene, I finally have a place that I can be excited to go to instead of always wondering where to eat when my wife and i want to go out and then deciding that driving up to the Twin Cities might be the better option even with the long drive. Only had a pizza my first visit, but it was so good, I cannot wait to go back to try other items AND their beer! By far, no comparison, the best pizza in town. read more

This place has great food! Pizzas are fabulous. Cheese/meat boards are great. Seasonal menu items are great. I definitely stop here often, even though the location makes it somewhat stressful getting in/out and parking is minimal. Service is good. Ambience is quite spacious and well done. For Rochester, this place is really nice! read more

DELICIOUS! We had a late lunch on the gorgeous patio while we were in Rochester and it was the perfect meal. I had an amazing cup of cream of ramp soup made from locally foraged ramps and a truly unique take on a margherita pizza. My partner had the Cornish game hen and basically licked his plate. We got several flights of beer so we could try all of the exciting options. We loved all of the beers, but our favorites were the apricot sour and the new Danq IPA. Service was also excellent. Next time we're in Rochester, this will be our first stop! read more

Love this place. Always packed though wish I could find a time to go when it is quiet.Just go see it you will be pleasantly surprised

An eclectic little joint. The attached Kutzky Market has tea from Mandala Tea, espresso drinks, & pastries. Forager food is delicious, though the variety is limited if you have a food allergy. My husband loves the beer and pizza! read more

I love this place because of the coffee and ambiance. I think they need more variety on the menu. If you have dietary restrictions (don't eat pork, beef or you are vegetarian) it is very difficult to find anything besides pizza to eat. The coffee is fantastic! read more

You know it is a good day when you find a great new-to-you microbrewery. From out of town and this was a real treat. Tried several of the beers, all very good, and food was excellent as well. read more

Great neighborhood hang out - for locals or out-of-towners! Pizza is superb, wait staff friendly and attentive, marvelous atmosphere!

Love the food and the atmosphere is so great! love the little antique shop connected to it as well.

Lovely place to go for beer and pizza. Offers an authentic atmosphere with live music that can't be found elsewhere in Rochester. I've been saying for years that Rochester needed a microbrewery and they finally delivered. Beware: busy weekend service is HORRIBLE. We waited 45 minutes for a table for two and then were sat at a communal table next to a family with children. My friend and I decided against sitting there since we knew our conversation topic would not be "G" rated. Sat at the bar and literally waited 25 minutes before we could even get a drink order in. Even then we had to work hard to flag down the bartender. Only two bartenders to serve the entire restaurant and bar.... Simply does not get the job done. For how much traffic this place gets they really should hire more help before they start losing customers. read more

The wait staff are friendly and I love the trivia on Monday nights. The beer is fantastic. I also like the food, but since they raised the prices, I think it's over-priced. read more

Really a great place to eat and hang out. They have trivia nights and host other cool events. And the food is spot on and the beers are an experience. read more

Have been here twice. Drinks were very good. The first time I had the nachos, and my wife had the Cornish hen. My wife loved her food, but the nachos were not so good. The meet was dry, and the cheese was hard, as if the nachos had been sitting for a while, after they were done. The second time we were here we ordered two pizzas (Margherita, and Greek), my wife and I thought the Margherita pizza good, but felt the Greek pizza was not very flavorful, and the meat was dried out. The first time we were here, we had a waitress that was very good at what she does. She was very attentive to us, as well as the rest of her tables. The second time, the service was terrible! The guy we had seemed to disappear, I would scan the room for him, and he was no were in site (the place was not that busy at the time). Even though the food came fairly promptly, it had taken a long time for our server to take our order. It seemed like an eternity before our waiter came back to take our second drink order, then it took a long time to get the drink. Didn't see our waiter again for quite some time after my second drink was gone (began to think his shift might have ended), and then when I did see him I had to flag him down to ask for our bill. Kind of strange that at the point when I asked for the bill, our waiter asked if we would like water. Since the drinks are good, and the prices are pretty reasonable, I am sure we will be back to give Forager's another chance. read more

Yikes. Been there before and would have given it an overall 4, however latest visit was terrible. 1) "English Ale" was stale and over 10% alch just IS NOT an English Ale, also no head; call it something else. 2) pour was way short; embarassing. 3) New Zealand IPA??? Served the bottom of the tank. Not "hazy" just tank bottom. Tasted like dead yeast. When I gently questioned waitress, she mansplained that it was an East Coast style (suggesting I wouldn't understand). So ,why call it New Zealand style. But seriously...tank bottom. Also 12 oz served in a Tulip glass, filled to rim....ummm, tulip glass is not to impress, it's to concentrate aromas. 3) almost nothing is served as a pint (sort of standard everywhere else) but they charge Pint prices. 4) food was decent but uninspired. 5) music was nicely quiet 6) waitress cleaned table that the hostess sat us at while we were sitting down...shouldn't table be clean before hostess seats us, and yuck, I don't appreciate having the crumbs wiped onto my lap. read more

When me and my boyfriend went, it was very busy. We expected this being that it is new. One nice thing i will note, is they text you when a "table" is available. Ambience is a personal preference and i have to say this place is not mine. I don't like being seated so close to another party of people that I don't know, when I'm on date night trying to enjoy my company's conversation. It was a family sized table that we were sat at, next to a couple on our one side and group of friends to our other side. It's like being at a family table, you hear everything. It would be like going into a Perkins and sitting in the same booth as a couple you don't know. Weird, not cool. It is trendy but i grade more so on comfort level. Now, the food. We ordered the pizza with the salmon...which didn't really have any salmon on it. Very small pizza, definitely a personal pizza. We knew this before ordering, from seeing other tables.Taste was alright, the crust to me was a little rubbery. Wouldn't order again myself. We also ordered the beer cheese soup which was a little disappointing and didn't offer much flavor. Uniquely, it did come served with popcorn on the top. I liked that, my boyfriend didn't as much. Lastly, we ordered the nachos. Delicious, however like another reviewer mentioned, a sad serving portion wise. So ridiculously small. Nachos aren't that expensive, please don't over charge me and under deliver. We asked for more goat cheese, as there was barely any and the server politely gave us some, so that was nice. I've just had better pizza and I wasn't a fan of the seating, so I'll pass on this place next time around. read more

I had heard good things so was excited to try it. I LOVED the decor. It was very eclectic and fun. It was communal seating so that can be interesting depending on who gets seated next to you. I am not a beer drinker so I can't comment on the beers. However, the wood-fired pizza I had was a major let down (I ordered the sweet chicken). I've had good wood-fired pizza but this just had absolutely no flavor. I only tried this one pizza here but it seemed like it really needed something more. There were no flavors that stood out aside from the charred crust. I was very disappointed to pay $10 for basically burnt bread. I did take the leftovers home though and I added some lemon pepper salmon to it. Then it was absolutely to die for delicious. So maybe I just chose bad toppings by going with the sweet chicken. I think I'll have to try it again to see if maybe one of the other pizzas is better. read more

Have been here twice and the food is very good and the atmosphere is solid - so bravo overall. However, my first time here I had a disappointing and unprofessional experience at the bar. I ordered a drink, 10 minutes later I asked the bartender if the drink he placed before me at the bar was for me. He said yes (bartender with long beard). I took a sip and the waitress said "sorry that isn't your drink". I said ok. The bartender came up to me, asked if I had taken a sip, to which I replied yes. He then removed the drink from my hands, which made me very uncomfortable, and then proceeded to pour the beverage in the sink. Firstly, it was his error to tell me the beverage was mine. Secondly, it was highly inappropriate and unprofessional to remove the drink from me. Thirdly, he went out of his way to show me he poured the drink out. The professional and courteous way to handle the situation would've been to apologize and to leave the drink. This left a lasting impression and one that I hope brings management to work with their staff to train them on professional behavior for future experiences. read more

After hearing so much about this new restaurant in Rochester, we finally ate there tonight, and we were not disappointed. The ambience and decor was beautiful! The staff were friendly and, even though it was very busy, our party of 4 did not wait long for a table. We were surprised at first by the community seating but it only took us a minute to settle in and then found it extremely interesting. So different than what we're used to but it was fun and it didn't bother us one bit. The wood fired pizza was absolutely delicious. It's not your usual extra large pepperoni and extra cheese. These were individual pizzas but more than enough to satisfy and the flavors were amazing! Fresh gourmet ingredients with zing that make you take notice. The beer was very good and this is coming from my husband the picky beer guy. My kids gobbled up the food too and loved the beautiful outdoor area. The prices were very reasonable. What a great restaurant and very much needed in our little (dare I say?) boring city of Rochester. This restaurant is definitely spicing it up. I'm sure we'll eat there frequently and I'm already looking forward to our next visit. read more

Stylistically, the variety of beer on draught was pretty nonexistent...which would matter less if what was offered was done well. Of the 6/9 I sampled, the Hip Hops tasted like an average IPA and the Funky Dangerfield was a bland Belgian sour. The food wasn't good; again, bland and unimpressive. The most painful part was having to tip the server, who very clearly did not care about her job and seemed hungover. To top it off, when my mom paid for something at the connecting gift shop, the girl there (who was a server at the restaurant) gave her the incorrect change. When my mom pointed it out saying 'But who's counting?' in a joking tone with a smile and wink, the girl gave her a glare and said 'Obviously you are.' Are you kidding me? Have more people on deck on a Saturday so your staff isn't run ragged and rude. I was in hospitality for ten years and get it...not every table or person or service is your cup of tea but don't be awful, don't ignore when a table doesn't touch its food, and don't literally hurl to-go boxes at me. Haha, can you tell I didn't like it? What a poor experience. read more
